An evening at Mylos by the Sea is not just dinner—it’s a voyage of the senses. Giorgio, with his heartfelt hospitality and radiant smile, welcomes you as if into his own home, turning a meal into a memory. Each plate is a story: the soul of Greek tradition intertwined with whispers of distant lands, flavors dancing together in perfect harmony. The rosé Peplo was a revelation—delicate yet full of character, like the sea breeze that accompanied our night. I chose not to share pictures, because no lens could capture the beauty and emotion of what was served before us. Giorgio, thank you for this unforgettable journey. Should your path ever lead you to Genova, know that a warm home and open doors await you.

There are no words to describe this restaurant, the location, the friend and highly professional staff, the great food, the wine list or the cigar options you have. If you are filling adventurous I would suggest the Head to Tail 100% worth it.

One of my absolute favorite culinary experiences in Leros (and honestly, anywhere!). Every visit over the years has been a perfect harmony of flavor, balance, and quality. This time we started with melt-in-your-mouth tuna tartare, followed by heavenly grilled calamari, then moved on to delicate cappelletti stuffed with shrimp and mascarpone — pure bliss. The grand finale was a sautéed sea bass in a divine sauce with roasted potatoes. And the desserts… oh, the desserts! Even the baklava — which I don’t usually go for — was light, fragrant, and irresistible. I’ll keep coming back year after year… unless they ever disappoint me — and I really hope that day never comes. 🌊✨🍴

Great food - gastro-style, almost fine dining experience, but quite pricey! The views from the restaurant are excellent, with the old mill in the sea right in front of the terrace. This restaurant offers a “head to tail” fish experience (enjoying a full fish in a minimum of 8 cooking styles), which was really interesting, but unfortunately out of our budget (150€ per kg, 2 kg minimum). We ordered a dish each and a few more to share. We had a really lovely green salad with octopus and chorizo. There was a very generous quantity of octopus in the salad. The chorizo was not in such abundance, but the salad was very tasty and refreshing. We had the Almyra which was expertly done, scoring full marks. We tried the fish ceviche, which was insanely good. Flavour was bursting from different ingredients, but was perfectly balanced at the same time. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better ceviche. Definitely recommend this one! We also had one of the specials of the day, scallops with truffle and parsley oil. I would definitely recommend, this was a single bite of peasant sensory overload. This is not a dish to share, and it can increase the bill by ~15€ per person. My main was pasta “vongole” (one of my favourite dishes) and it did not disappoint. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was rich and creamy (obviously without actual cream) and there was also a very generous amount of shells. Really flavoursome, I would definitely recommend this. The rest of the group also enjoyed their dishes. We ordered the shrimp capeletti (could have five with an extra capeletto), the shrimp pasta with mushrooms and the fish with mushrooms, ravioli and butter sauce. Everything was great. I have to state that the mains didn’t arrive at the same time and there was a significant delay until the last one came to our table. The staff kindly apologised and there was no real issue. Along with 2 bottles of wine from the cheaper pages of the wine list, we paid 70€ per person. Bread was 2.50€ a person, for a disappointing amount with no dips of any kind. I would recommend this place for its great food only if you’re comfortable with spending such amount.

Mylos has become a benchmark on this charming little island. The level of care and quality in every dish is unmistakable. Thoughtful, balanced, and full of flavor. The entire team, from kitchen to front of house, brings a sense of warmth and professionalism that elevates the whole experience. Every compliment they receive is well earned.

Unforgettable meal at Mylos Taverna. Quality of fish is sublime. Starters and desserts are out of this world. A must when visiting Leros

We visited Mylos by the Sea and although it was quite windy that day and the sea was rough, we still had a wonderful dining experience. Unfortunately, due to the weather we couldn’t try the fusces, but we ordered the octopus carpaccio, tartare, and ceviche. The octopus carpaccio was absolutely outstanding, delicate, fresh, and full of flavor. Both the tarama and ceviche were also excellent. The seafood was clearly fresh and prepared daily, which made a big difference in taste. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. If you are planning to go in September, it is a good idea to check the weather forecast in advance, as the winds can affect the overall experience. We also tried their traditional white wine made from red grapes, which was a pleasant surprise and paired beautifully with the seafood. Definitely a place worth visiting.
