The hype was real, it was difficult to make a reservation a week in advance but was worth all the hassle. We had an adventurous group and tried multiple dishes, all incredible! The waiter that served us was michelin restaurant level, exceptional care and guidance! The whole experience is thanks to their team and atmosphere and not just the food.

Excellent all round, more expensive than most tavernas in the area but by far exceeded them in quality and service so worth every penny. Thank you for a lovely & special evening!

The location is certainly idyllic and the food is supposedly amazing, but all of the bluster that comes from this seaside restaurant seems to have gone to it's head a bit. Walking in here, in off peak times, and wanting to be spoken to kindly is not apparently a done thing. After eventually managing to get someone's attention and asking them about availability or to look at a menu we were brusquely told to go online for both things. My parents are in their 80s, they don't have smart phones, but do value basic politeness. I'm aware the restaurant must be busy, and that during the summer days there are probably many people walking into the taverna to take pictures of the windmill etc. Perhaps that has taken us toll on the patience of the staff here, but it comes across as resting on your laurels, knowing you'll always have a week's worth of advanced bookings. Metze's nearby were genuinely warm and welcoming as an alternative, we were far happier to spend our money there.

Expectations were certainly raised and we judged quite harshly amongst us but still cannot give less than 5 stars… We were on the waiting list for more than a week for this table and got the confirmation the day before but it was August, the busiest period! Loved the skaros carpaccio and the cheese kataifi but we were not impressed by the octopus ceviche… should have had fish but our 6 year old would not have appreciated it!

I rarely write reviews but I when I do it’s because an experience has truly blown me away. Mylos did all of that and more. I have been coming to patmos for years and have loved every minute. This year on a chance boat day I ended up in leros, Mylos, specifically and my summers will never look the same. From The first day at Mylos to the end of my month long stay in patmos my days are now and may forever be centered around the ferry schedule and Making it back to this restaurant. Mylos encapsulates the entire Greek experience in a 2 ( or four ) hour experience. To say it’s just the food…just the setting… just the people would be underselling this gem. Choose a fish and opt for raw or grilled… there is no possible way to be disappointed. 15 days and 6 visits later I’m yet to stumble upon a “dud”. This place is on the water and anyone within 2 hours ferry or on a private boat is vying for a table. if you have plans to come call / email / WhatsApp… whatever it takes find a way to reserve, I promise there will be no regrets

Without doubt best food we ate in Greek Islands. My recommendation would be to ask the waiter to guide you, they were very friendly. I am sure the classics like fried calamari etc are also amazing but there are plates that you cant find in other tavernas, eat them. Parrotfish ceviche was on another level. They also have a diverse wine list.

There are a lot of different touches from the chef. But I assume it’s not michelin gastronomic level… First of all everything was fresh, so if they don’t find any part of the menu in the morning as fresh from the sea, they don’t serve it that specific day. Love this one…. Greek Salad was 5/5 even the small peppers in it are so juicy, this simple output shows the quality of the chef … I loved it… Pastas are fine but it’s not close to the Italian Chefs. Fisherman’s spaghetti was very delicious but too much cream on it. So I assume if you put that much sauce/cream on anything then everything would be fine :)… Tried Tuna steak as well… well it’s very close to Dallas but if we have Dallas steak why do i eat Tuna Steak? :) In any case, this different touches from the chef is lovely, obviously, you understand you’re in a different place… next time when I will be there I will try the head to tail option where you choose one fish and they start with soup of that to different cooking options… The environment / atmosphere of the place is lovely… Next to the sea you have an amazing picture of the nature while you’re enjoying your dinner…

There are tabernas and there is Mylos…. The food is celestial and particularly the Parrotfish ceviche should be reserved for the Olympians…. Make sure to reserve your place well in advance and enjoy this culinary ride!
