Myran's Restaurant

Peaceful environment. Good and friendly service and the Fried Catfish, Fried Shrimp and Oysters were good. Nice atmosphere to relax, eat and take a breath!

The place doesn't look like much, but the food is amazing. The shrimp are very well cooked and seasoned to perfection. The onion rings were amazingly crunchy without being greasy at all. Better still, they have a few local craft beers to accompany your meal.

They were a little short staffed so the wait was plenty long but the boiled crawfish was great. I also enjoyed the chicken tenders, fried mushrooms and fish and chips.

We were headed here with a group of friends when an accident occurred. Almost a year later, I finally have the honor of experiencing Myran's wonderful food. We had fried chicken & homemade onion rings... and let me tell you what... this was some of the best food I have had in a very long time... and the Onion rings are fantastic...it was finger licking good!!! 😋

Awesome service & awesome home cooking! I loved the patio deck they have overlooking the flowing bayou. The catfish was cooked to perfection! Tasty pot roast BBQ sanwhich. Onion rings were spot on crispy, and the fried mushrooms were super fresh! We loved it and can't wait to be back! 😁

Oohhhh but that was one delicious breakfast sandwich. The Myran is huge and loaded with egg, cheese, ham, tomato, and lettuce. Hit the spot! Friendly conversation with the coffee drinking dudes. Bought some crawfish boil and season all (their product) while there. Recommended.

I ordered a fried shrimp PoBoy. Worst one I’ve ever seen. I asked for no lettuce (they put it) they also put two slices of tomatoes. They didn’t put onions, mustard or pickles and it barely had any shrimp! I also ordered 4lbs if crawfish. They had good flavor but I think I got the bottom of the ice chest bc I got a majority of heads without tails and LOTS of pinchers. I also ordered cheese sticks and they forgot my marinara. Not happy and I paid a lot of money!!

Had been wanting to come here for crawfish on the back patio. Such a nice day for sitting and watching the Bayou Teche go by. Food was on par. I got hamburger steak and my girlfriend got the crawfish. The crawfish were well seasoned and we finished them all off. Nice and quiet when we went but I can bet its hopping on the weekends. Hope to be back soon.

Wow, things are always positive for customers and the food is excellent . Thanks for being in Arnaudville , Louisiana. And it's still a very enjoyable time being there with someone local who has enjoyed this place as long as I have. It's also a very clean and comfortable place to be with someone special.

The review of 2 is because the food was good. Maddie was our server. We ordered unsweet tea and we both got sweet tea, but that does happen occasionally. We ordered fried oysters with fries, grilled catfish with salad with ranch dressing, and onion rings. It took 30 minutes to get any food. We got there around 12:20 so we were way after the lunch rush. I didn't get any salad dressing but Maddie came back and asked what kind I wanted. Within 10 minutes she brought us our check, let us know she was leaving and gave us the name of who would take care of us. No offer to get us anything else. Glad we weren't wanting any ice cream or a shake, because apparently we were not going to get offered that either. Maybe it was an off day. The food was good though, I think, because I was so hungry when it came that I pretty much inhaled it. You know how when you go to a fast food restaurant they have trash receptacles on the dining room floor? They have that here too. And unfortunately, we sat down next to one. We've moved close to Myran's recently. Love this place. It's not a new building simple decor. However the food is great. The service is excellent. We have been several times and people come to visit we take them to Myran's.

Great fresh seafood. Great view on the bayou! Onion rings to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ate there several times while in Arnaudeville and it was consistently good.

Food and Service is amazing! Had the Dungeness Crabs. They were boiled perfectly and seasoned well.

We met a friend for lunch at Myran's. It's an unpretentious building with a lovely setting on the water. It was a little too chilly out to sit outside when we were there, but if the weather had been a little warmer, dining outdoors would have been nice! The fried shrimp and fish were delicious, and you got a lot of food for not a lot of money. Our server was a hoot, and she was able to offer good suggestions for those of us who weren't sure what we wanted. A little bit of a drive for us, but Myran's was well worth the time it took to get there. Highly recommended!

My mom loves this place. She eats here more than I do bc she lives in Arnaudville but whenever I visit Myran's is a go to. Food is cheap and portions huge. Comes out usually in a timely manner.

I literally have never had a bad order. I've eaten crawfish, seafood poboys, hamburgers, lunches, malts, and more. Never a complaint.

Great tasting fajitas! Nice and attentive waitstaff. Manager on duty also checked on me. Clean dining area. Highly recommend!

We went here on a Friday night. They were hopping busy with phone orders, so it took us a minute to get situated and seated. They were polite and friendly, just really busy. Once seated, they took our order fairly quickly. I ordered a cheeseburger and my husband ordered the hamburger steak. I must say that the cheeseburger was way better than I expected. I'd absolutely get it again. Portions were good and the fries tasted great. My husband enjoyed his hamburger steak, though it was a bit salty for his taste. I looked at the wine and beer prices, and was astonished at how reasonably priced they are, even for a bottle of wine. In a restaurant, they don't mark it up much, so if you're looking for adult beverages with your dinner while in the area this is the place to go! We will definitely be back to try their seafood when we are in the area again. Give them a try!

Great Cajun cooking. Fried oysters are wonderful. Boil seafood - especially the crawfish - are always fantastic.

We made out own little reverse "Tour de Teche" yesterday, making the rainy Sunday afternoon drive up LA31, to try this locally famous bayou-side Cajun eatery. The exterior was certainly unimpressive, but that should never deter anyone from "getting-down" for a bite. Covered customer parking was greatly appreciated in the monsoons. We both had the "fried seafood combo plate" on the rear deck over the Bayou. Constant rain set the melancholic mood, and our un-sweet iced-tea's were no help. Waitress, on discovering that we had been given the "catfish & shrimp combo", announced that she would get some freshly fried oysters for us, but would take some of the catfish back. I doubted that the Parish Health officials would have approved her plan. The fry-cook delivered the oysters, but left everything else on our plates. Merci a Dieu ! Myran's is worth a brief side-trip and a "sit-a-while". Rick

Hoping for better. Plate lunch had a pork chop, which evidently had been cooked and sitting under a WARM heat lamp as it was barely above room temperature. Not very crowded. Packed dressing. Just got home and realized I was supposed to get a pistolet......which I didn't....better restaurants to eat in the area....$35 for lunch with two waters. Ouch.....

Great place for boiled shrimp and crawfish, fried oysters, catfish, and chicken. Relaxing atmosphere.

This place puts Arnaudville on the map! Fried festival - who needs to go to a county fair when you can come here? Great food and great prices. A meal there is an experience you will never forget!

Fried food is always better when it is served hot. And this place just absolutely gets it. Pricing on beer and wine is incredible. Bbq roast beef sandwich and cheese is a real sleeper.

Myran's food is excellent! One of my favorite places to eat and the service is outstanding!

Went for breakfast and had their signature sandwich, egg, ham & cheese with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. Outstanding and the onion rings were great. The friendliness of staff and customers made it even better.

The food was good, the boiled crawfish was sadly not seasoned during the boiling process. It was sprinkled with something like old bay after they were taken out. It's the kind of 'Cajun food' I found in Florida(having lived there for 9 years). Not expected in deep Louisiana Cajun country. The other food we had was good though. The large sign out front stated they had daiquiris. I asked for one but they looked at me like I was out of my mind. No such drink there. I then asked for a glass of Cabernet(simple, right?). They didn't have that either. I drank water. Our waitress(a dark haired woman the day before Mother's Day) was terrible. Never smiled, was not attentive. I had to get up and go find her after 30min to get my friend a coke. Our entire table wondered where she was the entire time. Her service was not worthy of the auto-added gratuity and everyone else said the same. We were the second guests of the evening. On the other hand, a lady with a hot pink t-shirt(manager maybe?) was very attentive, helpful and very nice. I probably won't frequent this restaurant unless by someone else's request.

I always order from here when I'm home. It's so close not to. I absolutely love the boiled shrimp it's always good. I do sometimes order either a shrimp or oyster po-boy and they are usually good. I do think that sometimes they skimp on the shrimp and oysters which is disappointing. The fries are well seasoned and the milkshakes are so tasty. Definitely a good spot to get a quick bite.

Second visit and both times, the food was outstanding. Today I had boiled Shrimp, potato's, corn on the cob. The sauce for the shrimp was out of this world. My friends had a seafood combo with fries and a Po Boy. My friends loved the food, hoewever they both said, the next visit will be the bolied shrimp and in season , starting in November the Crawfish. I look forward in uploading the photo's of the resturant & food. The exterior like many LA resturants is plain and simple, the food out of this world. The boiled shrimp was $13.99

A little our of our way. It has a lot of room for improvement. But it offers short order food and I believe seafood. Staff was very friendly once we sat down, wish the counter staff was as friendly. As a first time visiting we did not know if we ordered then sat down or sat down our selfs and then ordered we have now been there twice in 4 years so it's not memorable and apparently the food wasn't anything more than mediocre or we would have returned.

We stopped here for lunch, driving through. The crawfish and corn chowder was excellent, piping hot. My husbands shrimp poboy also good. Service friendly. A real, down to earth local place. Would return.

I don't know where to start! The hamburger is probably the best I have ever had. The onion rings are awesome. The staff all seem to know everyone. Great atmosphere. They make milk shakes from scratch!!! Beautiful outdoor seating on the water. This place makes me want to relocate to Arnauldville. I will be back for sure. You have to try this place. A winner for sure.

The grilled cheese will surprise you, the taters tots are banging! This place will take you back to simpler times and the view of the river will leave you speechless. The waiting staff will watch you like a hawk and make sure you always have what you need. 10/10 would get bread and cheese and again!

Local beer. Awesome catfish. Way too much really great crawfish. Old deck looking out the Teche. Catfish are jumping. Super friendly folk. Worth a visit after visiting the local brewery.

I stayed at an AirBnB across the street from this place. They really should mention that this wonderful restaurant is directly across the front door of the place. Small, country town restaurant that is the hub of activity on a Friday or Saturday night. They have a selection of beers and wines (LA-31, of course) and a stunning variety of fried foods, seafoods and the like. Crawfish are available in 4 pound orders when in season. Super friendly waitstaff; you can get your orders to go or dine in if you like. Ended up getting one of the best catfish poboys I've ever had. If you're in Arnouldville you owe it to yourself to stop by; this is one of those places where literally everything looks and smells amazing.

My aunt and I stopped in on a bicycle ride from Acadian Park to Arnaudville. The 1st thing I noticed was the "Bicycle Friendly" sticker on the front door. We were then greeted by Myran himself who was cooking in the kitchen and knows my Aunt from when she worked there 20 years prior. I thought that was awesome. How many restaurant owners actually still do the cooking in their ewstablishments? None that I know. Much props for that. I ordered a shrimp poboy and my aunt ordered the egg sandwich. We split and order of double battered onion rings. The shrimp poboy was good, but not "Bon Creole" good. But nothing else can really compare to a bon creole poboy, so no knocks there. The onion rings were mouth watering. Larger, with the perfect amount of batter and crispiness. Judging by how quickly the egg sandwich disappeared I'd guess that it was delicious as well. The ambience of Myran's is typical of most small town cajun establishments - a bunch of tables in a big room with a TV somewhere playing football. However, Myran's is situated right on the Bayou Teche. I think it would be great if some bayou side outdoor seating were added to give diners who don't care about who's playing who on NFL Sunday some solace. All in all, I'll definitely be back .

Good food poor counter organization. Always had great meals there. My only complaint is people picking up good have to wait with dine in customers at the register.

Service.... Not so friendly. Food is excellent. The food took all the magic from everything else I'm guessing . I always feel bad for calling in an order, I feel like I'm intruding. When I always arrive, the cashier is usually super friendly. Which is confusing, because of the bad phone calls. Nonetheless, I'll never stop coming here.

We went to Myran's on a business trip I had in Arnaudville. The restaurant has kind of a hole in the wall feel. The prices are pretty fair for the portion sizes you get. I really enjoyed my crab and corn chowder which came piping hot. My entrée was the fried oysters. Maybe I haven't had many fried oysters but, they were just ok. The batter was good but that's all I could really taste. They did come with a HUGE baked potato which was pretty tasty although probably bad for me with the 6 scoops of butter on top. My co-workers seemed to love their fried chicken and po-boys. Bathrooms were clean and food came out relatively fast.

This place was a surprising find! In a rural town in South Louisiana, this restaurant is unassuming from its outside appearance. But inside, it is filled with friendly staff and amazing food! Po-boys! Plate dinners! They even have a small menu available for breakfast. I highly recommend almost any of the oyster or shrimp items! They even sell their own mix for frying seafood. Also, alcohol is available for those nights of living it up. A very nice southern restaurant on the Teche and an abundance of Cajun hospitality and charm. If you are traveling around this area, I highly recommend a stop by Myran's. You won't regret it!

Stayed at Airbnb across the street and went to Myrans for dinner. Food was great. The other customers were great. The service was very slow. Tip seat yourself and flag down your server. They get tunnel vision and can easily forget about you. My wife ordered the crawfish. And it seemed everyone else in the place did as well. The night we went 4 lbs for about $25. They have very reasonably priced beer & poboys & sandwiches. the crawfish was amazing and wonderfully seasoned. Such a great local experience - so glad we got to enjoy it.

Ordered a large burger, large fries and a large drink. Went to pick it up the price was a little over 17.00. Will never eat there again and I will tell everyone about that outrageous price. If it would have been a great burger, maybe. The reason I gave it one star is because they wouldnt let me post with zero stars.

the food was average at best. the coleslaw tasted ilke it came from a bag with no drsssing on it . the beans were from a can. the dinner roll was mushed up .four tiny dry baby back ribs with to much smoke.they were cooked for to long about the only good thing was the dirty rice they charged me three dollars for a fountain drink add tip and i left 20.44 poorer a thouroughly dissappointing meal save your money and go someplace else

My wife and I drove there last friday evening as we had heard the food there was very good. Im sure it may be but one would have to be waited on in order to try it. Having never been there I asked a waitress if we had to order from the counter up front or just take a seat. She told us to take a seat which we did. There were 3 other tables with people there so it really wasnt busy. After 15 minutes of waiting and not even being acknowledged by the wait staff we decided that they didnt want our money so we we left. Never again will we make the drive there.

I don't know how I stumbled on this restaurant, but I am glad I did. I ordered the crawfish. The waitress brought out a mountain of crawfish and I ate every last one. If you are in the area, you need to try this place.

If you want service best be there before 8pm otherwise the people boiling the shrimp think they are the soup nazi "no shrimp for you". Wife ordered the shrimp and I finished my steak and salad and 40 mins and still no shrimp. Tsk tsk tsk

After a 57 mile bike ride, it was the perfect place for a fried oyster poboy and a Louisiana beer. It's a casual place, everything made fresh to order. They are super welcoming to cyclists. It was the best poboy I've ever had in my life, too!

A little leery based on other reviews, but our experience was great. The staff was gracious and the meals came out quickly (did take a while to get a check though). We had the fried oysters that were as good or better than any I've have elsewhere, including in Abbeville. Will go back for the crawfish another time as we saw several tables loaded up with them and folks there really seemed to enjoy them.

Love Myrans everything is great. Boiled crawfish when in season or Boiled shrimp. There homemade onion rings or awsome!!Great service. Ask for Ms Marie she is our fav waitress. Kid friendly and also a great choice!!

Then try the best boiled shrimp, Salads, fried seafood, chicken and much more. The seasonings, dip, ranch and everything is home made. so u can't get better then that. Come on by and eat great for a low price. If ur looking for lunch call for the daily lunch plates and enjoy!!!

Yes the service is not the fastest, but why would you ever want to leave this place with all the great food and and great scenery. We sat out on the deck, which is practically built over the bayou, and had the catfish and 4 pound crawfish plate. The catfish was perfect and the crawfish were big and tasty. If you want to be treated like a king, probably not the place for you, but if you want to eat like a one, don't miss this place. Relax, slow down, and enjoy the southern pace.
