My wife and I went to visit the pinball museum in Myrtle Beach on Saturday (10/25/2025). We had a great time and enjoyed the old pinball games. The machines were in great shape, clean, and operated well. We can highly recommend the experience.
As an older long-time player of pinball and video games, I relished the opportunity to play some old pinball machines. So, we invested an hour and some cash and played some pinball.
The way the museum operates is that you pay for a certain amount of time in the museum, and you can play the machines without further payment. The pinball machines are all set up with the maximum amount of credits, so you just have to push a button to start playing. You can just wander around and play machines that look interesting.
They have a variety of machines from what look like the early 1970s (or 1960s?) to the early 2000s. This gives a variety of types of machines, from the older two-flipper games with mechanical and electromagnetic targets to the more modern multi-level machines with some multi-ball action and multiple flippers. My wife and I had a blast playing some machines in multi-player mode, and others in just single-player mode.
They limit the number of people who play at one time, so that there are not long lines (if any) for the various machines. I did not count the number of pinball machines, but I’d estimate they have about 2-3 dozen machines.
We had a fun time playing pinball, and would definitely recommend this pinball museum.
