Nothing bad to say other than to do your due diligence in scouting out your camp site because some are quite tight with all the trees. But that is what we love is all the trees - absolutely beautiful! Very clean place. Fairly quiet except for the planes going and coming (right next to the airport). Also, we noticed some of the sewer hookups were quite high and some ppl had trouble getting to drain - ours was a lower one thankfully. We love it here and will definitely be back again.

Google
There are a good variety of sites, most have good spacing between them and are level. Traffic noise if near the main road, occasional air plane maybe 10 or 15 per day. Great beach with easy access. Lots of tourist things to do in the area. There is a bike trail near the ticket office that leads to the food Lion (grocery store) and traffic light to cross over to the bike path along the main road. Well staffed with pleasant people.

Beautiful park with great camping facilities.. we camped here as part of a scouting trip and had a fantastic experience! Beware of the raccoons.. They are fearless and will rip open backpacks or tents if you leave food in them!! The little gift shop next to park is run by nice folks.

Google
Quickly becoming my favorite beach vacation spot! I love that this relatively quiet state park is basically on the beach! From my campsite to the beach is less than a 5 minute walk! You can beat being able to sleep in a tent and listen to the waves crashing at night! The biggest downfall is how close it is to the airport, so there is a fairly constant stream of airplane takeoff noise (LOUD!), but I found I quickly got used to it. The campsite itself is beautiful, well shaded and well maintained. As a single solo female tent camper, I never felt in danger and had friendly neighbors each time I've been there! It's nice to see more tents popping up each time I go! The park is also dog friendly! The biggest tip I would give anyone, is if you're in a tent or need to stake anything down, BRING A HAMMER! The ground is rock solid! Also, ants, bring bug stuff! It is nice to be able to be at a quiet camp and beach, and still be able to drive just 15 minutes north and be at the boardwalk with all the stuff for kids and family to do, or drive 15 minutes south and visit Litchfield Beach to find an abundance of whelks shells!

Google
Fantastic little State Park with endless beach front to walk on. Search for shells and sharkteethvon the beach, photograph birds and wildflowers and stroll along the fishing pier. Park entrance is $8 per adult plus $8 to fish on the pier. Walking on the pier is free. Also handy is a small gift and sundries shop complete with fishing poles reels and gear as well as gifts and snacks. Coffee at the shop is a bonus on the cold days. Camping is also available. Visit the nature centre especially if you have brought found children, or enjoy the nature trails for hiking.

Google
We really enjoyed our stay here on site 212. There's a lot for families to do here; playgrounds, nature walks, the beach, a pier, etc. The bathhouse was clean and the shower was decent. Full hookups with 50 amp service. I would have given 5 stars, but the airplanes taking off and landing. Very loud, even inside the camper.

Google
Beautiful park walking distance to the ocean. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Trails throughout park. Sites and restrooms are clean and nice. Big general store. The MB Intn’l airport is nearby so you will hear the planes

Google
Amazing state park! All the amenities, great sites and only a short walk or bike ride to the beach. Would highly recommend this location!

Yelp
Wow - what an awesome park and absolutely beautiful big beach! We had an amazing time with our hosts and a beach (Chinese take out) picnic! The three pups were with us and are used to this dream life. Beautiful sunset and views! (I think you pay only $99/year and have access to all of the parks).

Amanda M.

Yelp
Clean and quiet just what I like at the beach. The weather has been very nice this week. I've only come for beach access but drove around the campground sites and they were nice and shady. The women's restrooms were clean. Lots of picnic tables to enjoy a meal with friends and family.

Jessica S.

Yelp
We drove from Michigan for a six night stay. The campground is a nice quick walk to the beach and the Myrtle Beach area offers a tons of stuff to do and restaurants. The campground itself needs some major improvements. The bathrooms didn't get cleaned the entire weekend. We had to shower with the same dead cockroaches and globs of hair for days. The men's restrooms ran out of toilet paper and were never refilled. The worst part was the raccoons. My kids were stuck in inside as soon as it got dark because they were attacking us. Roasting marshmallows isn't an option here, the raccoons come right up to you and hiss. We contacted the park ranger and we were instructed to not eat outside. This place needs some serious animal control help!

Yelp
My stay at this campground was a positive one however I think they could improve on some things. I do like how the staff at the store worked with me so I could stay last minute instead of having to leave, stay at another site, and come back. The staff was very generous and helpful the whole time. The overflow side is not labeled with a sign on the primary road so if you are really trying to find it for the first time, you have to look for it in the map. The one lady at the store office didn't even know where it was. I don't expect much from campground bathrooms but the knobs on the showers need work. Other than that no complaints. Cleanliness is about an 8. I don't like how the road isn't paved like it is on the main campground. I do like how close this side is to the beach. I was able to walk and took 5 min tops. Generally speaking the whole campground is close to the beach. Cell service is very weak, especially on the overflow side and the Wi-Fi wasn't working over there either however it did work on the main side but you will lose it from time to time and have to login again. Only reason I feel this is important is if you have an emergency. Another frustrating thing is when it comes to staying additional nights, the people at the desk only tell you what's available on the in the system. Well what's in the system isn't always what reality is. They said there was no vacancy full capacity but the camper beside me said there were about 2 or 3 sites untouched. It's frustrating when you tell people what's truly going on and they'll believe a computer before a human being. Also there was atleast 1 maybe 2 sites across from me in the overflow lot that did not have a soul in them the whole weekend. Not that I'm complaining because it was less people for me to deal with, but I know if Im trying to get a site and their telling me there's no vacancy when there is I'll probably take my business somewhere else. This severely needs work. Another scenario is if check out is at noon and you reserve the next day for a check in time of 2pm, they will not entertain the idea of checking in earlier so you have to kill 2 hrs. So part of that is my own fault for booking last minute, but it's still frustrating. I'm just going to address the elephant in the room by saying there is a night and day difference between the main campground and the overflow lot. Not only in appearance but the vibe is so much different. An example is when I stayed in the main lot which is $80 a night. I had water and electric for a tent. More importantly my neighbor, which was a retired military pilot, RV owner, very nice one, came over said hello and we had about a 20 min conversation. In addition to this the people driving by waved and said hello. I'm kinda new to camping but like any other hobby I'm sure there's a hierarchy. I didn't feel that on the main side at all, although I know it exists. I stayed in the overflow side over a week and never had an interaction with any of the neighbors. People will stare when you walk by though. Just sayin! According to the people at the store counter the changes are driven by reviews and the survey so I would truly take time to complete this.

Yelp
Great beach , always a great time , the pier is nice little store is great if you forgot anything , slush cart on beach to get your favorite slushie

Sylvie C.

Yelp
A nice clean state park to visit with ample parking and friendly locals. There are multiple bathrooms and water hosing stations to get ourselves and pooches cleaned up. They do not give discounts for entry for AD Military. Something to keep in mind. They do give discounts or free entry for all other entities such as Coast and National Guards, etc. I wouldn't mind visiting again during off-peak season but I can definitely imagine this park being completely packed during the summer.

Rondel G.

Yelp
Absolute enjoyed my 4 day stay here in cabin 6. Hopefully be back next year. Enjoyed being surrounded by nature and having a fire at the beach. All staff were excellent and friendly.

Tara R.

Yelp
My friends and I spent a couple hours on the beach last Friday. The park is well maintained and clean. There was ample parking. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely return!

Teressa L.

Yelp
We camped here 3 nights end of July/early August. Reservations were made online and it was easy to see options for the dates we wanted. Price is affordable. We did get a full hookup site on circle 3. Upon arrival they direct you to the camping check in at the back of the park. The little check in booth is staffed by volunteers and our gentleman was super friendly and gave us all the info we needed. Our site was clean and we had plenty of room. We were close to 2 bathhouses with one also having laundry available. There is a nice camp store. Firewood was $10. Ice $3. There is parking closer to the beach so you don't have to carry all your beach supplies from the camp spots which is appreciated. Showers at the beach for rinsing off. We did see a lifeguard come by a few times. Beach is clean and people were respectful. No one had super loud music or groups being obnoxious. Good family camping location. There is a nature center, walking trail, and pier with another store on site as well. Plus there is a path you can walk/bike/golf cart to the food lion just outside the park. We had a wonderful experience here. Will be back!

Denise M.

Yelp
Very nice park, lots of sea shells. The price was high for seniors out of state. You can reenter and use your pass for Huntington Beach on the same day if you would like.

April L.

Yelp
The Ranger at the entrance was super nice and this is a beautiful park with wooded walking trails, picnic areas, the ocean and beach. We even saw horseback riding. You can easily spend all day here exploring and relaxing. We hope to stay at their campground someday.

R B.

Yelp
Cabin 3 was subpar. Non-working AC, painted-shut windows, lighting too low to play a game after dark, and a bathtub ready to fall through the floor. All this for $200 per night! Oh, and added to this is a requirement that you do most of the cleaning crew's work before you leave. I think $50 per night would be a fair charge instead.

Samantha L.

Yelp
We stayed in cabin 5 in April. The cabin itself was very clean and well equipped. We had lots of towels and wash cloths. There were extra blankets and the beds were comfortable. There are two rooms and each has a full size bed. There is also a pull out couch. The cabin is secluded and somewhat far from campsites. We wanted to hang with our camper owning family but definitely felt separated. The beach is very convenient. I loved having a screened in porch. The playgrounds were fun for my kids. The pier offers gorgeous views. All the rangers I encountered were kind and helpful. If you come make sure you have paper towels, salt, pepper, all those little things you take for granted for having on hand at home. There are dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc but not other consumable basics. My only complaints are small. My reservation email mentioned calling if you wanted early check in. I realized we were going to arrive about 90 minutes before the 4PM checkin. I called hours before to ask if I could come early and was immediately told no with no request for more details. We ended up stopping at South of the Border to kill time. I then arrived at 3:45 PM and was told not to go directly to the cabin and to wait until 4. It felt petty. The checkin already super late and the checkout is early at 10AM. You're expected to wash all the dishes, clean the cabin, and strip the beds but nothing too extreme as far as checkout. Next, it's right by the airport and the planes are loud all hours. Finally, I found the campsite area confusing and hard to maneuver. It's fairly expensive to stay ($566 for three nights) but compared to other accommodations in the area you really can't beat it. Location is close to all the major attractions. I love that I could hear the waves crashing once the campground went quiet for the night. I would definitely come back!

Sable S.

Yelp
This is such a great location! We love visiting the State Park each time we visit Myrtle Beach. There is a per person admission gate fee, but if you plan to spend a few hours it's worth the entry fee! It's got a beautiful beach area and fishing pier. Lots of picnic areas, a great shop at the pier and a nice little nature center. Those are all of the things we've experienced so far. But we definitely love coming to this beautiful park for a relaxing afternoon searching for shells, taking beautiful beach and ocean photography and enjoying nature!! They even had horseback riding the day we visited. I believe they allow this only certain days, so it was neat to see! Clean bathrooms are also located near the shop at the pier!

Avery S.

Yelp
The beach itself is nice and wide although rather a dull color, The park did not have the usual atmosphere of a state park, it was more open and crowded feeling. The bathrooms were big and nice and the was a laundry room.

Victor M.

Yelp
Came for the first time to this park in 2017 it hasn't changed anything. Sites are ok maybe a little too close to each other but at the end of the day we come here for the beach so we put up with that This time I noticed a ramp for loading and unloading the golf cart, a very cool addition for those who choose to bring the golf cart Dogs are not allowed on the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 10AM to 5PM

Neha K.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! We loved This park with its expansive beach stretching for long walks, bird watching, people fishing! The bathrooms were SUPER cool and Covid protocols were spot on! There is plenty of parking and picnic tables. Come prepared for a wonderful day of fun. Of course when we went it was too cold to hit the water but it didn't take away the 'walk and play on the beach' experience. There is an entry fee and for the dollar amount, it was well worth our time. Will be back!

Brandon N.

Yelp
This maybe one of the most beautiful places to take pictures in the US especially for the cost (or lack there of) ESPECIALLY at night and sunset!!! I went on a day a wedding was being held and it was literally AMAZING!!

Margie L.

Yelp
Front guy at entry was grumpy asked him a couple of simple questions and he shot back with "I don't know. " he seems very angry. The lady in the information house was sweet and friendly. Overall nice place to walk around but nothing special. I have more fun walking around the dog park and going to the beach for free outside of my bnb.

Terri H.

Yelp
We came here to walk our dog on the trails. The trails were very nice but we had to walk them very quickly. The mosquitoes here are rough and if you stopped they would get you. I get bit a lot but my husband doesn't usually and he had several bites. It would have been smart of us to use the Off that was back at the hotel. After our quick trail walk it was early enough to take our dog on the beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach before 10AM and after 5PM this time of year. We walked along the beach and then my husband stopped in the gift shop to get a park sticker. It was a nice visit.

David G.

Yelp
Our site was 20b right in front of the store .. this place was packed and some other sites are pretty close to each other .. plus side the beach was pretty close

Kendra C.

Yelp
Two things here. The park itself is really nice, it's clean, mostly well kept and easy beach access. The campground however is a different story, it's very very outdated, small, very narrow one way streets that aren't big rig friendly. Most of the spots are small, with lots of trees to maneuver around. Needs some updating and some trees taken out.

Stefanie R.

Yelp
We just bought our first RV and took our first trip to myrtle beach. We chose to stay at the state park campground and we are so glad we did. The sites have a lot of nature preserved so it feels so much more like camping. They have bathrooms / bath houses all over the campground so they're close to any site and didn't seem crowded. There are also trash and recycling stations positioned all around. I really liked the beach access spots, the trail parallel to the beach, and the state park gift shop. I had to get a tshirt and a bumper sticker for the RV. We had our dog with us so we couldn't walk down the pier, but the gift shop and the pier are a short walk from the campground. We arrived after midnight on Friday night and since they close at 10pm, we were nervous we wouldn't be able to get to our reserved spot but luckily they had a very helpful and pleasant staff member stationed at the gate that let us in and gave us directions to our site. We will definitely come back as often as we can.

Penny R.

Yelp
Today was another beach day while on vacation! We are notorious beach hoppers. While chatting with some locals the day earlier, we learned the state park had a great beach and was likely less crowded than the other beaches. There is a small cost to enter and park, however once inside you can wander through the park. We went straight to the back which opened up to the beach. There were shelters everywhere and easy access to bathroom and outdoor showers. The beach was clean and not very populated. There were signs to watch for the rip tides and alerts were elevated this day so we stayed near the sand. We spent and hour watching a storm coming in and took for granted how quickly it would get to us so there was some running and screaming at some point. The storm was gone as quickly as it came. We had such a a great time!!!!!

Colleen D.

Yelp
Best place in Myrtle Beach to visit and camp. I've been visiting for 42 years, and I look forward to it every time.

Alissa D.

Yelp
We just came back from a 4 night stay at Myrtle Beach State Park and I do feel like although it's definitely a 5 star experience there are a few things that must be noted. When we checked in this time, the park hostess reminded us of 3 rules. No alcohol, lock food away because the raccoons will eat it and wear closed toed shoes at night because of snakes. 1.) The raccoons were not a joke, one was out and about at 2:30 in the afternoon smelling and checking out campsites. And even when we cooked an early dinner around 4, he came over and we had a hard time getting rid of him. So just something to keep in mind, don't leave food at all anytime, and be watchful for sneaky ones! 2.) Our first night my husband and I walked to bathrooms and on the way back we spotted a baby copperhead in the woods. We were wearing appropriate shoes, but woke us up, since we didn't see any last time. Also 2 days later we took a walk on the paths in the park and we did encounter a copperhead again, this time an adult. (if you don't know, copperheads are different from most snakes that they don't take off they freeze where they are and are venomous). A picture of him is attached. It shouldn't deter you from any adventures, just something to keep in mind and be careful wearing sandals! They have signs about proper footwear by the bathrooms. And last thing to be noted 3.) While swimming at the beach in the appropriate areas we did see a fin go by. And later when on the pier the sharks were all the buzz! The park was aware, and the "marine life" flag was not up. So DO NOT SWIM ANYWHERE NEAR THE FISHING PIER! These are just reminders that if you are camping and going to the area without having been there are some things to keep in mind. It is definitely the best of both worlds you can camp, enjoy nature and enjoy the beautiful beach. The fishing pier is relaxing even if you don't fish (if you do $5 for fishing license for day). Also a huge bonus, you get to go to Huntington State Beach park for free during the day with your camping pass. Definitely worth a check out they have features that are worth it (beach, nature boardwalks, and Atalaya ($2 a person))

kathleen p.

Yelp
$8 per person is outrageous. I went with my family of 4 at 7pm. The park closes at 9pm. $32 dollars?! Not being from this state I questioned the amount. I'n my state we pay per car. I guess that was the wrong thing to do as the older gentleman just shook his head at me and acted like I was annoying him. Then I saw a sign that children were $4, which I had two with me. So I asked him and he again just kept shaking his head at me stating I should have mentioned that because there were 4 signs on my way in that stated the prices. He gave me some money back while rolling his eyes at me. Not at all welcoming, and I will not be back. If you don't like your job, then quit.

Garrett Z.

Yelp
Since I live in Minnesota, I have never been to a state park that boasts such a beautiful beachfront property before! We came here while just walking down the beach and happened to come upon the pier, which you can actually walk on for free! You can also obtain a fishing license and equipment to go fishing off the pier if you would like. If you want to see a shark, they love to hang out under the pier eating the fishermen's scraps, very cool to see! We talked to some of the locals and found out that you can catch a good variety of fish. You also have amazing chances to see dolphins, sharks, jellyfish, and sea turtles in their natural habitats from off of the pier. All of the locals on the pier were very friendly and we could have chatted to them for hours if we had the time but we had to keep moving to see all of the sites. If you moved off of the beach, there was also a few walking trails that would take you through an example of a wild beachside Carolina forest. We were able to watch a White Heron hunt in a swampy section of the trail and saw a couple of local bird and reptile species while on the walk. Lots of fun, interactive information is displayed throughout the area including a good bit about sea turtles. I guess a lot of turtles call this beach home during the summer season. If you are wanting to shop or feel like ice cream, the gift shop onsite will have you covered. Very fun little stop on the south side of Myrtle Beach that is worth a visit, especially with the great views you can get from the pier.

Ashley G.

Yelp
Bathrooms were clean and nice for beach bathrooms. Pricing is per person not per car and this does not include the pier that cost extra. On the beach no tents, including infant sun canopies, be prepared. Umbrellas are allowed but it was very windy and didn't seem safe to have them up. I have been to a lot state parks and this one just didn't feel family friendly and more geared to retired locals living in the area.

Evan G.

Yelp
Myrtle Beach State Park on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach is a beautiful and well managed state park that has much to offer from a beach with a cool pier to trails and a nature center. They are well worth a visit to appreciate the beach and a maritime forest. The staff here is very friendly and makes sure that you have everything you need.

George G.

Yelp
Great park ,nice beach.togo spot in myrtle beach. Been here many time with family and friends, you can grill , fish at the pier or just relax at the beach.

Alexander M.

Yelp
Top notch location and maintained campground. Parking is tight but adequate. Camp sites are very nice and lush green. Only gripe is the location of the camp site sewer dumps. They were immediately proximal to picnic tables. Airport is nearby but quiet at night. The beach is family friendly and even when as busy as it was over the weekend it's still calm and family fun. Lifeguards were active protecting swimmers. Really good place!! Get in early for a shaded parking spot if not camping.

Linda D.

Yelp
Absolute peace of heaven. Seems like a hidden GEM. Serenity, nature untouched. They have an option for rental cabin, but you still have to pay individual admissions each day. Well worth a day spend.

Katherine C.

Yelp
The campground is pretty nice... the bath houses aren't exactly located in the best locations but they were reasonably clean at least. The beach access is awesome and I love all the perks of this campground like the picnic tables all over the place with different views. I would definitely stay here again.

Tony M.

Yelp
One of my favorite places! If you haven't been here get your calendar out now and plan today

Shelda B.

Yelp
This campground is located right on beachfront property. While in the campground you would think you were in a WV campground with all the shade and trees, but you walk out of the trees on to the beach. It's very clean, but the campsites are super close and privacy is hard to obtain. The camp rangers roll by at least every 10 minutes glaring at each site....perhaps monitoring for alcohol. Alcohol is strictly prohibited. You must sign an agreement to not drink while camping. If privacy is what you want bring extra tarps or blankets to hang on your dining tent. That's what we did and it doubles for extra shade from the sun. Firewood is also strictly monitored. Buying firewood in the park is $6 a bundle, but we found that the local Walmart sells it for $4.87 for a larger bundle. The park seems to stay at nearly full capacity so I would suggest making reservations.

Todd L.

Yelp
Park is big and pretty decent but very crowded and lots and lots of kids and dogs. Staff is very friendly. Easy walk to the beach. No discounts given for Good Sam, AAA, disabled, or anything else. The only discounts they give are to local residents. heavy warning on the copperhead snake in this campground which is venomous.

Brandi Y.

Yelp
My husband & I got married in June at Myrtle Beach State Park beside the pier on the beach, it was absolutely stunning as a huge Carolina Beach girl I LOVED it! The park is well kept & beautiful! We will always return yearly now for our anniversary trips to remember our special day! What a wonderful memory at a stunning location!

Michael T.

Yelp
Overall good place to go for nature hikes and beaches. There are nice accommodations for parking and rest areas for bathroom and changing. There is a nice boardwalk on the beach which is nice to walk to see the ocean without getting your feet dirty. Overall the beach and water is ok but the accommodations are great

Yvonne A.

Yelp
The only thing there is the beach. It is a lot of walking but nothing exciting to see.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
We loved this low key campground! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Great value to be so close to the beach. Gorgeous park, well kept. Nice level sites with lots of shade.

James S.

Yelp
We have been coming to this state park for many, many years and have camped here as well. We have not been here for a while but since we vacationing in the area we had to visit. The park sits on 312 acres of what is one of the last maritime forests of SC. Its like stepping into another world away from all of the hustle and bustle of the Grand Strand. Plenty of picnic areas with grills, walking trails, a nature center with programs, playgrounds ect. Then the forest opens up and and your on the beach! Lots of campsites with some cabins as well but they are almost impossible to rent as they are reserved up to a year in advance. Wife and I along with the daughter, son-in law and granddaughter spent two nights here fishing on the pier. I like this pier because its just a fishing pier, not a bar, night club, arcade and restaurant as so many other piers in the area have become. The only thing I was disappointed about was the admission fees have really gone up since our last visit. It used to be one price per vehicle, now its $8 per person and $4 per child. The lady taking the admission fees both days we visited was super friendly. Like the wife says though all the fees goes back into the park, not some CEO's bank account. Myrtle Beach state park is one our favorite state parks in North or South Carolina and we highly recommend it.

Cynthia D.

Yelp
DO NOT RESERVE SPOT 308 We reserved a site that was 50 amp. It was for a 45-50 ft camper. It was spot 308. It's not meant for 20 ft camper. The layout of the trees are so bad that our 35 ft camper barely fit. It was a bitch to get in. So...when we went to get out of our very tight spot two of the trees was in the way where we got our camper stuck. The Park Rangers came to the site to see if they could help us. We asked the Park Rangers to use the tracker to help pull the camper to the side so we could get it out. They said they couldn't use the tracker on civilian property. (Our taxes paid for the tracker) Then they said we'll be back to check on you. (No help from them) Btw they NEVER showed back up. THANK GOD for our neighbors, they pulled together to helped us get the camper out. After about an hour we were unstuck. The WIFI was terrible. You couldn't use it unless you were near the office. You had to call the office to get the WiFi password and she was an idiot. She told me it was welcometosc. It didn't work. So I called back and she said I don't know what you're doing wrong, it's welcome the number 2 sc. I said you never said there was a number in it. Not sure I'd stay here again.

Bohemian D.

Yelp
This is a very pretty beach and a beautiful park and not that crowded which is really nice. I am only giving this 3 stars though because it said lifeguard on duty.. but I have been wondering where he is for the last 1/2 hour and it is the middle of the day. Also dogs in the water and on the beach while I'm swimming is just not something I am fond of. If there were no pets and a lifeguard I would definitely give this 4-5 stars as the water and beach are very clean and it is a relaxing and pretty venue.....

Robert S.

Yelp
This is a great little state park joint. The price is right to keep out clodhoppers zombies and sidewinders .The beach and picnic areas were clean. Like what I said no sidewinders clodhoppers and zombies in the area. Daughters reported that bathroom were dirty, not like someone ate at Taco Bell. I used them and I felt secure: No Sea Bass incident.

Yelp
Fishermen were very friendly and everybody was doing their part to keep the beach and pier clean. Lots of informational sights for visitors to the area. Boardwalk for walking behind the sand traps, and safety flags for beach goers. Free WiFi provided at the convenience store at the pier.

Yelp
Love this park!! We came every day and used our pass. Very clean. Close by facilities. Really pretty. Nice beaches and good quality sand. Really worth a beach pass here.

Yelp
We came here for day use. Beautiful area. This beach is amazing. Restrooms are clean. Plenty of parking and picnic area. Very inexpensive for day use. But the woman working at the pay shack up front was a total Butthead. For no reason. They had a red flag hanging up and the "key" explaining the flag colors was not fully visible. My husband asked does that mean we can't go in the water. She bit his head off. Wow. She's obviously working thru some inner turmoil. It's unfortunate that she is front and center representing the state park that day. We had no other interaction with other employees. But after that our family had a great time!

Yelp
Beautiful state park with thoughtful accessibility, parking, restrooms, shelters for picnicking! Nature trails and many plants marked with common names! We're here on a cloudy day, looking for geocaching boxes--there are quite a few here! Some are fairly mysterious. Nice shop with items I've not seen at tourist stores and staff is friendly and helpful. Well maintained.
