The best experiences in Singapore's Serangoon neighbourhood - SilverKris

"A cosy three-level community mall in Serangoon Gardens focused on everyday conveniences and neighbourhood dining, where residents find banks, a well-stocked supermarket and services alongside a compact but enticing cluster of eateries and local boutiques for brunch, tonkatsu, Thai food and Wagyu bowls as well as gifts, jewellery and coffee paraphernalia." - SilverKris Magazine

❇️ Been to MyVillage mall many times over the years. ● Nice mall, small and compact, Toilets are clean. 🌳🌳 This mall has a lovely roof-top wooden deck garden where I always like to take photos of the sunset from here. ● They have the basic amenities here. A premium NTUC supermarket + Little Farms supermkt, hairdresser, cafes and bakeries, ice cream shops etc.

The architecture design of MyVillage is a little cram but cosy setup from MyVillage, think this is the only mall here. Not your typical mall, akin to King Albert park mall

A quaint mini mall that sits on a small road, or u can call it a picturesque mall, or whichever u define it, as it is has that alluring feel to it. 😀 It has quite a few restaurants in it and has concierge at level 2, which sits facing the escalator leading to the rooftop. A very well maintained mall despite the looks and many aesthetic works of art around. All u need to do is jz slowly walk and breathe while observing everything around. U will realise that there are creative simple designs that makes the place pleasing to look at. The layout is simple with 4 floors to boast at the very least. There are practical and creative designs of art outside as well. Walk along the walls and u will realise this, something that some may not have realised. Talk a slow walk n chill with friends on d coolness of this mall. It is definitely not the best of malls, but it serves the purpose fully. Worth a visit at least once.. Google
A tiny yet charming mall right in the heart of Serangoon Gardens. Well it certainly serves the immediate needs of the residents in the neighbourhood. The anchor tenant here is Fairprice Finest and rightfully so considering the upmarket neighbourhood. A couple of restaurants like iSteaks adorn the mall. Is the mall worth a visit ? I would not make my way here if only to visit this mall. Like i said earlier it serves the immediate needs of the neighbourhood and it is a nice mall.

Small mall around the serangoon garden. It has few eateries inside and few small shops. There is fair price finest here and indostop where you can buy Indonesia's stuffs here. The shop was in the corner at fairprice, I only noticed it after I went for fairprice to shop. There are few restaurants at second floor but iSteak seems good because there was quite a number of people queueing at there. Didn't manage to try it. Maybe next time. I tried korean chicken stall at b1, it was crispy and good. The staff was friendly and patiently explaining me about the food on menu. Order the garlic taste and it was good. Might try again other taste next time. Came twice to the store before and after shopping my groceries, still remember what I asked for the first time not to put chili on the food which I forgot to mention when I ordered. Here also has coffee shop which caught my attention, only sell coffee related stuff like the machine, grinding, etc.

Rather nice and quiet shopping Center with essentials inside and quite a few food options.

I’m quite pleased with this mall - dinner at isteak, coffee ( Toast Box ), and groceries shopping at NTUC supermarket. Mall is pretty small, however , it has met my basic needs-

My Village is a small boutique kind of mall in Serangoon Gardens. There is a FairPrice Finest, gifting shops, apparel boutiques and nail salons. There is food court with decent options as well. It’s situated on Maju Ave opposite Tiong Bahru Bakery. I like to go here for casual shopping when I’m around this area.

Yelp
A small shopping mall located at the heart of Serangoon Gardens Neighbourhood. The walk from the bus stop to the mall is less than 5 minutes. The road leading to the mall is the direction opposite Chomp Chomp Food Centre. So finding it shouldn't be a problem. The mall has a few eating places, a getaway from the rain and heat if you don't feel like eating at the nearby food Centres and coffee shops. Choices are limited though but there are a few favourite cafes of mine such as Udders and Coffee Bean. Often hang out at these two outlets to grab some cold to cool my body down from the blazing heat! The mall also has a supermarket and some useful shops such as bakery, bank, money changer and hardware shop. If you are driving, it can be a nightmare as there is the underground and street parking lots are limited. The mall provides free wifi but is available only at certain part of it. (Coffee bean area there). You can hang out at this cafe to enjoy some coffee and do your work (with wifi). Overall, it's a quiet mall and an alternative for those prefer avoiding the crowd.

Yelp
Just a smallish nice neighborhood mall to meet the basic needs of people living in the area - grocery, money changer, bakery, bank, hardware store, dry-cleaner and plenty of restaurants/cafes. Besides street parking which can be a nightmare, there is also underground parking inside the mall which is so much more convenient. Unless you are enamored by certain food stalls here or in the area, there is really no compelling reason to head over here as most of the stuff is also available elsewhere. When I am in the area, I will get stuff from Chinta Manis or Bakerzin, have a foot massage at Chen Kang Wellness, get some grocery from the NTUC or get foreign currency from the money changer (rate is not as good as those in town but when you are changing a small amount, it does not make a drastic difference). There is also yoga at the rooftop on certain days. Da Paolo Gastronomia is no longer there which is quite a pity as I like getting the packs of pasta sauces and salad and desserts. It is also not super crowded when I am there, usually on weekend late morning to afternoon, making it quite a nice place to chill with a cuppa joe from Coffee Bean or Relish. Yelp
myVillage takes the place of what was a rather languishing building complex that housed a great NTUC Fairprice outlet for a long time. It's new, airconditioned and has a car park with huge lots so no difficulties parking here! Small parking though, The NTUC Fairprice here has been converted into a 'finest', which is rather unfortunate because it's smaller than the previous one, so residents have to pop by to Nex or Ang Mo Kio Hub for some serious grocery shopping. There's also quite a range of dining options here for a small place - for brunch options you can head for the Western stuff - Coffee Bean, Da Paolo Gastronomia, Bakerzin and Relish by Wild Rocket. I love that Udders has an outlet here, and for chinese food, Old Hong Kong upstairs is a good option too. Overall a great place to pop by on weekends for those living around the area!

Yelp
Thank you Mr Security for your chocolate treat to our kiddos! Because your love for children, Jewel & Vera received your graciousness and generosity. You are a Godsend Benediction and Blessing to my family, our hearts are filled with gratitude. We were there at the supermarket at 11pm on 25th April 2019. Mr security a tall indian gentlement was so kind and generous. His positive energy deserves a feedback and compliment from us. He is a nice worker and a person who deserves to be rewarded.

Yelp
Small neighborhood mall that serves the purpose. Great for running errands (24 hr Fairprice) and DBS branch. The other bonus is that it provides PARKING! For the parking hell otherwise known as Serangoon Gardens.

Yelp
I love the rooftop concept which allows people to take the escalator up and chill there whilst at the same time overlooking the entire of Serangoon Estate. myVillage has almost everything you need, from Japanese Food, Western Food (cedele/subway), Coffee Joints to work at (Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf), surf-clothes shop, NTUC fairprice, Guardian (pharmacist) and more. I personally like going to this Coffee bean outlet to work as there is both an indoor and outdoor segment. The atmosphere is relaxed, and is definitely one of my favourite places to work at. What I like about this place is the understated elegance of its black finishings and interior design. Another thing to give praise to is their lovely toilets, which have a modern touch. They are clean and dry at all times.
