"Look to the top of Seoul’s 860-foot-tall Namsan Mountain and you’ll see the N Seoul Tower, which rises an additional 777 feet. This aerial perch is the highest point in the city and offers incredible views. Far below, Seoul sprawls out like a toy wonderland, while, on a clear day, North Korea lurks on the horizon. N Seoul Tower also boasts the world’s highest mailbox, so after taking in the views, buy a postcard and send it to someone special."

N Seoul Tower is one of those places you just have to visit when you’re in Seoul. It’s an iconic landmark for a reason. The views from the top are absolutely incredible — a full 360° panorama of the city that’s breathtaking both during the day and at night. Getting up there is part of the fun, especially if you take the Namsan Cable Car (though that part could use a refresh). Once you’re at the top, the area around the tower has a nice vibe — lively but not overwhelming. There are cafes, gift shops, and even a place to grab food or sit and chill while taking in the view. The observation deck is clean and well-maintained, and the experience feels organized from start to finish. You’ll also find the famous love locks area just outside, which makes for a fun stop whether you’re traveling solo or with someone. Even if you’re only in Seoul for a short time, make sure this is on your list. It’s touristy, sure — but totally worth it.

One might think that this is purely a tourist attraction, but it turns out that Koreans also love it very much. People come here just to walk around, look at the city from above, watch the dragonflies swirling in swarms, and, of course, hang their happiness locks on the staircase railings. For tourists, there are the best views of Seoul, an authentic Korean drumming show, and a large selection of souvenirs—everything tourists love. My wife and I took the cable car up to the tower, but many people prefer to walk up the long stairs—great cardio😉

I like the view of Seoul from the site. It is a remarkable view indeed. 😍 The love statue with the couple locks 🔒 ♥️ is everywhere. Better be here in spring or fall. We visited in July when the temperature rose to 94 and felt like 105. Still, the view is breathtaking 😍

A great spot. We went after dark on a clear day. I recommend going up an hour or two before dark, enjoy the area on the mountain which is beautiful, go up the tower before sunset and go up to the restaurant bar before sunset and drinks. Stay awhile so you can enjoy the lights of the city. They did a great job with this project. Lots to see up on the mountain and the tower provides amazing views.

Take the bus up to this scenic spot. A fee to use the observation platform but plenty of free views elsewhere. Hike back down to the city easily via a paved pathway with stairs.

I’ve visited this place countless times, and honestly, it never gets old—it’s just as fun every time! You can get here by cable car, bus, or even walk. Just a heads-up: the bus ride can be a bit wild since the drivers go pretty fast! It’s always packed, even when it rains, but with plenty of cafés and restaurants around, it’s easy to hang out and enjoy the vibe for hours.

Visited this iconic Seoul landmark on the penultimate day of our visit to South Korea. We took a couple of buses from the Dongdaemun area to reach the base area. The elevation provides an amazing view of Seoul city. Due to hazy conditions, we did not deem it worth riding up the tower due to the limited visibility on the day of our visit. There are lots and lots of people, young and old present to enjoy the view. Great place to bring the family for a picnic. There are designated areas where visitors have tied thousands, if not tens of thousands, of small locks. Well worth about half a day visit when in Seoul.

Try walking up instead of taking the cable car. You’ll need to walk uphill a bit to the cable car anyways, and then climb up some flights of steps at the top. The walk takes about 30min from Myeongdong to the top. It makes the view more worthwhile! Sunset views at the top is amazing,
