Na Nirand Resort

Incredible peace sanctuary along the river, a bit off town, where we could properly relax and enjoy! Staff was so nice and discret, food was out of this world, drinks and happy hours very appreciated! The pool is very nice too. Room is amazing, very comfortable!! I wish I would spend more than one night. Also cute surprise with delicious cake and fruits for our anniversary.

I have stayed in a few elegant places over the years, but this one had a more intimate feel, and the personalized service was over the top. I had a medical issue in Chiang Mai and when I returned the concern of the staff was genuine and they continued to ask how how I was doing (because they knew i was returning later in the morning and had missed breakfast, they actually opened the kitchen up for me). Because I wanted to see some things that were rather far out of town, they arranged a car for hire to take me wherever I wanted. One special draw for this place, though is the quality of the food. I went to some nice places in Chiang Mai, but the hotel food at Na Nirand was the best I had in Thailand. Even the presentation was magnificent, with each course being garnished with its own flower (see photos). In the evening, there is always a musician playing traditional Thai music. The hotel is located next to a small, older temple, and a branch of the river flows by the back. One of the large night markets is up the street.

Absolutely stunning resort with amazing customer service. We stayed here for our honeymoon and our room got upgraded and they even made us a cake for the occasion! The room itself was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. Loved the addition of the bath! The free breakfast was delicious and there was so much to choose from. The pool is beautiful and the spa was very relaxing. The staff here are exceptional - they went above and beyond and they made our visit to Chiang Mai so special and one we'll never forget. 100% recommend!!

Our stay at Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the breathtaking beauty of the grounds. ​What truly sets this resort apart, however, is the incredible staff. Their warmth and attention to detail are world-class. A special highlight was how they handled my husband’s birthday; even though his actual birthday was a few days after our arrival, they had a beautiful birthday cake ready and waiting to celebrate. It’s those thoughtful, personal touches that turn a great vacation into an unforgettable memory. ​The accommodation was stunning, blending traditional charm with modern luxury, and the service was consistently friendly and professional. If you are looking for an intimate, high-end escape in Chiang Mai with staff that genuinely cares about your experience, look no further.

This is a beautiful and thoughtfully run boutique hotel. Below are the pros and cons, as well as some suggestions for improvement. ✅Pros Good breakfast selection. The dining environment and service are excellent. It’s comfortable dining by the river, and all the food is covered with protective lids to keep insects away, which is very reassuring. The bed is very large, with just the right balance of firmness and softness， very comfortable to sleep on. The staff are constantly cleaning, and there is a small gift left for guests in the evening. Staff welcome you at the hotel entrance at all times, making you us truly at home. ❌Room for Improvement A full-length mirror is needed. We couldn’t find one in the wardrobe, bathroom, or near the entrance door. The soundproofing of the windows is very poor. The wooden windows cannot block out the loud music from nearby bars at night, nor the garbage trucks and birds in the morning. The hotel should consider installing soundproof glass or providing earplugs for guests. I usually go to bed around 10 p.m., but it was extremely noisy. The wooden windows open by sliding and rotating panels, but there are no mosquito screens. Even when closed, there are gaps, and mosquitoes are attracted to the light and come inside. It’s quite scary worrying about being bitten and disturbed by the buzzing sound. Fortunately, we managed to kill three of them 😅 If the minibar is not complimentary, it would be better to empty the fridge so guests can store their own drinks or fruit. I suggest just providing bottled water or, like another hotel we stayed at in Chiang Mai, simply offering a few complimentary sodas. Trust me, very few guests actually use the minibar. Housekeeping informed us that the room needed to be inspected before checkout. We agreed and left our luggage in the lobby while we went to breakfast. We briefly returned to use the bathroom before leaving again and did not use any amenities or disturb the room. However, we were told that because we re-entered, another inspection was required. This felt unnecessarily rigid and inconvenient, especially after we had fully cooperated. A quick bathroom visit should not require a second inspection. Unfortunately, this left us with an unpleasant final impression and overshadowed what had otherwise been a positive stay in Chiangmai.

This is a quaint resort with excellent service. Our room was really nice with what seemed like an updated bathroom etc. the bed was very hard but that has been my experience most places we visited on SE Asia. The turn down service was quite nice. They left little surprises which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good but we got GI sick From dinner on our first night. Drinks and bartender good. Someone tried to charge drinks to our room and they made us prove it wasn’t our signature upon check out. They took it off the bill. At night there was loud music. I think from across the river.

Wonderful staff. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast buffet has a delicious variety of Thai and western food. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Massages at the spa were great and very good value. A true boutique hotel experience. The only thing it’s missing is a proper fitness center but they do have a treadmill and elliptical. Not a place for small children.
