This attraction was a last minute addition to our itinerary. We had a hired car so I was just looking for an interesting place to bring the wife at night that isn't located in downtown Nagoya. From our hotel it was an hour away. Wifey was immediately keen when I showed her photos so we hit the road.
There's a huge parking lot (no charges) opposite the park entrance. Although entry to the park isn't free, dining and shopping vouchers are included in the ticket. I saw a few restaurants inside the park, so if you're here during lunch/dinner hours, the vouchers might be handy.
We came after dark fell so there were a crowd of people, some leaving, some just arriving like us. We walked through the light tunnel, saw a colorful show inside a greenhouse, and caught a laser show as well. In terms of illuminated garden attraction, I thought this was one of the better ones. Wifey seemed to like it, so it worked out well.
There's a ride inside called Island Fuji. It costs 800Yen per head. We thought it'd be a nice idea and took the last ride for the night. However, the ride was very short. After reaching maximum height, it will rotate one round and start descending. The plexiglass windows had scratches and stains, so picture quality was affected. If you asked me, I'd say keep the 800Yen for something else.
