Nabi Spa

1 star is far too high of a rating. I booked a facial and massage for the first time at this spa and arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment. When I arrived I was told I was too early. I offered to come back and the individual who I presume is the owner and was going to be doing the facial and massage said it was okay but seemed very uncomfortable and continued to make backhanded comments about how early I had arrived. She said they only let people come 5 to 10 minutes before their appointment. I offered multiple times to simply come back. I was willing to stand outside for the extra 5 minutes. But in the same breath that she would complain she would also insist it was okay. At this point it became extremely uncomfortable for me and I said I'd prefer to come back. Again she said it was fine but continued to complain - she needed time to set up, no one else was there and more reasons kept being shared. It seemed to be very upsetting to her that I arrived early so I let her know it's my first time at her spa, the email confirmation and text reminder did not ask or state that clients are not allowed to show up more than 10 minutes before their appointment. As you can imagine this conversation did take up the 5 extra minutes I arrived. She continued to complain about me being there and also saying it was fine. Performing a facial and massage on someone you've made extremely uncomfortable would be a terrible experience. At this point I said I don't want to wait here, I'll come back in 10 minutes when my appointment was scheduled for knowing filling out the forms would cut into my time. She then grabbed my wrists and tried to pull me towards her. I have no idea why she felt this was okay. I left. And I will be pursuing some sort of action because assaulting me like that is completely unacceptable. The entire conversation while uncomfortable, was quite calm. I was caught completely off guard by the grabbing and I'm still disturbed by this experience.

I never cared about facials. You Young changed that. She is so gentle and dedicated and talented. Nabi spa facials are effective, energizing and relaxing. Every minute of the facial involves a different stimulation or pressure point or scent. It’s the best spa-type experience I have ever had and now I’m addicted!!

This was the best facial I’ve had. It combines extensive skin care and an amazing relaxing massage. I cannot recommend it enough

I booked the signature facial which was accompanied by a massage. When I walked in, I was given cozy slippers to wear. I noticed how clean the waiting and treatment rooms were; there were also air purifiers running. The bed was perfectly warm and the sheets were really soft. As this was my first facial experience, I didn't know what to expect. Youyoung very kindly offered me a complimentary acne treatment. The products used were all organic. Her hands are as soft as cotton. The massage was just the right amount of pressure and even though it wasn't 50 minutes, I felt relaxed. I have poor circulation, so Youyoung also massaged my feet. the hug at the end was a delightful surprise. I would highly recommend and return at the first opportunity.

I went to NABI Spa yesterday for the first time, through a recommendation from a friend who heard about it through a mom’s group she belongs to. Apparently everyone in the group was raving about the Young Signature Facial. I had had a particularly stressful month, both emotionally and physically, and felt like the combination of a facial and a back/shoulder massage was a perfect way to unwind and treat myself. ...And I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. First thing I noticed, upon settling into the room, that I immediately appreciated, was that the bed is heated, and set up in such a way so that your knees are slightly elevated. These two things made me feel more at ease, as I often get easily chilled in air conditioned rooms especially when wearing less clothing and lying still, and my lower back loves a good leg pillow :) These are important details, though often overlooked, and make me feel like my comfort is prioritized. Ever since I stepped in the door, til when I left, I felt so thoroughly cared for, literally from head to toe. The massage was far deeper and more comprehensive than I expected, and it was clear that YuYong had more training beyond that as an esthetician -- as I found out in conversation, she had also studied different healing/massage modalities like Meridians, and Swedish, not to mention she even has a background in psychotherapy. It is no wonder that I felt very relaxed and cared for in her healing presence. The facial consisted of more layers/steps than I could count, and it felt like YuYong gave every single one of my pores focused attention. The way she applies products, uses the instruments, and touches your face, is done with such exact precision and gentle care. I was very pleased to know that the products she uses are from a premium skincare line, all organic. She gave me a complimentary purifying treatment, and advised me on how to improve my skincare. I must say, usually, in hands-on treatments, I am not ready to wrap up the appointments as they come to an end, as it never feels enough, but with YuYong, I felt absolutely spoiled by the Young Signature Facial and was just grateful and satisfied to have received it. I left with far less tension in my body, and with my face glowing, It feels like I just got back from a mini vacation — Thank you YuYong!

The Youyoung signature facial was a dream! A high quality experience that left me with the softest skin and glowing smile. This was my very first facial/massage and I felt at ease thanks to the cozy space and Ms. Youyoung’s warm presence. I really appreciated her holistic approach, use of quality products, and genuine care! She kindly offered advice for my acne-prone skin and gave product recommendations without ever pushing to purchase. If I lived in Toronto, I’d be a regular! 너무 감사합니다🍥

High quality facial performed with the utmost care. Youyoung makes you feel welcomed and relaxed during her signature facial. It was 80 min of bliss! She uses primarily organic and vegan products that are gentle on the skin and leaves you glowing & feeling amazing (and smell good). Definitely will come back when I have the extra cash.

I absolutely loved my Youyoung signature facial with Youyoung herself. She took such good care of my skin and provided the best lymphatic massage. She’s also so sweet! Will definitely be back for more treatments in the future.

I came here for a facial after raving reviews on FB. I checked out the website and saw they have a variety of treatments. At the time there was a special for a well-aging facial, so I called to book. It was very easy. Youyoung, the spa's owner introduced herself and was so kind. The spa is located on the South side of the street on the second floor, above a Portugese restaurant. The stairwell up to the 2nd floor has nice touches such as stones along the staircase and smells like incense. When I entered, I was greeted by YouYoung who provided me with some slippers and brought me to the back to fill out my health forms and to talk about the treatment. The facial room was so relaxing. She had beautiful spa music, a trickling water fall, dim lighting and quiet surroundings. I was very comfortable and the bed was warm and cozy. YouYoung was very sweet and while she explained things, she didn't talk too much so that the experience was relaxing. I loved the pads that she used for cleansing. They were so soft! I was going to ask her what she used, and was surprised when I checked out she already had them on the counter to let me take home to use myself for up to 4 months! Her massage during the facial, as well as the arms, legs and shoulders was heavenly. It was the perfect amount of pressure. I find sometimes estheticians are too soft with the massages. We chatted afterwards and she told me how she studied Korean massage techniques in Korean and that's how she could tell where my stress and tension was. She really knows her stuff. The other thing I loved was that she really customizes the facial to what your skin needs at the time rather than following the same treatment for everybody. I even asked her afterwards which facial would be best now that she has seen my skin. She told me how it depends on the time of year and my skins needs, so that she will customize whenever I come. I rebooked a package of 3 facials right then and there. My face looked and felt so hydrated and refreshed for days afterwards. I can't wait to come back!

Yonyoung is very gifted but unfortunately, she was extremely condescending throughout the entire facial, and only perked up at the end when I gave her 20% on both the facial and product. As a client, I develop relationships with people (whether it's regarding my skin, my hair, my body) but Yonyoung constant microaggressions left a sour taste in my mounth (and I am a sweetheart!). The irony is I get compliments on my skin all the time.... even better after the facial here. However, the owner's combative attitude while handling my skin means I had to find a facialist closer to me in Yorkville that charges premium but treats me with respect--a price worth paying.

3 stars strictly for the manicure. For the amount I paid ($35 for shellac) I expected a better quality paint job than the one I received. The nail tech was perfectly gentle and nice, however, the polish coverage was uneven. She applied either too much shellac, so it spread past my nail bed onto the skin, or entirely missed parts of my nail bed and there are patches on my nail without any nail polish :| Honestly quite disappointing since I had high hopes for this place - the tone and mood of the spa is lovely, I just wished the quality of the manicure matched how much care is put into the setting. I'll likely try again with another nail tech and see what happens.

I took a flier on a local day spa and I was rewarded with so much more than I expected. I wanted a little perk for my skin after a long winter and decided on the You Young Signature Facial. It isn't just a facial- amazing massage and facial! I could barely speak I was so relaxed at the end. Very quiet environment. Clean. You Young was very kind. I will be going back again. I have some serious mother's day hints to drop now...

Went her for a spa pedicure and manicure. I was there for a little over 1.5 hours. The mani/pedi was okay, I've had better and worse. The atmosphere was nice and they had a decent selection of nail polish. I probably will go again because I haven't found any where better in this neighborhood.

Great facials here. The owner lady is very friendly and accommodating. Can't comment on mani/pedi services here as I've never gotten them. For facials, this is the place to go. Very relaxing and zen.

Nabi Spa s a gem in this neighbourhood. Very clean and wonderful atmosphere. The owner is pleasant, professional, and does an amazing job. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of services you receive. I come here for both facials and pedicures. If you live in the neighbourhood or closeby, I can't recommend this spa enough.

We went for a spa day for 2 and it was incredible. The atmosphere was peaceful and very clean. I had Sunita and she was gentle and knew what she was doing. I had the Nabi signature facial, the sugar scrub & a manicure & pedicure. All of the facial products smelled heavenly and although I have very sensitive skin, I didn't have any break outs or issues. My skin was glowing after and I will definitely come back again. I highly recommend this spa. The prices are also very reasonable.

Came here with a friend and called the day before to book 1 pedicure,2 eyebrow tinting, 1 express facial, they were very accommodating/nice over the phone and made our appointments. We went the next day and there were two women that were very nice and welcoming. The girl that did my pedi did a good job, though I had to get up a little before my pedi was finished to get my eyelashes tinted by another lady. Overall very nice place and enjoyed it there + very reasonable prices!

Came here with my 4 year old daughter for a little spa date. Youyoung and her massage therapist were absolutely amazing and welcoming. I was able to get a massage and a facial with my daughter present and she enjoyed her treatments as well. Youyoung was so patient with her and simply wonderful. I will definitely be back!!!

Had a lovely facial today from Esther - I highly recommend her and the spa. Super clean, no waiting, great products and my skin feels great!

I go here on a regular basis for Brazilian waxes, and it seems as it's gotten more popular they've hired more people. Youyoung (the owner) is the only one who works there that can do a proper wax. Everyone else I've had has done a terrible job and it's been really disappointing. I don't want to find another business to go to because the owner is really great, but if I can't get an appointment with her anymore, I'm not going to go.
