Stayed for 1 night at this capsule hotel and it had everything I needed. The public bath is nice and since the hotel is small, there is a good chance you won't run into anyone using it at the same time. However my room lock was broken and didn't lock during my stay.

The beds/pods are standard. Comfortable enough and the staff are super helpful. The amenities were great. A hot communal bath, a dedicated area to get ready for the day, with everything you need and a lounge area. It's super close to public transport and attractions. Would have given 5 stars if bed and pillow was a bit more comfortable and the building is a bit tired.

I love this hotel, convenient and quiet location near Shibuya and even closer to Nakameguro💗 Second time staying. The only downside is the hand sanitizers and room soap were not replaced even when they were empty so couldnt use them when I needed to. Also the front desk staff is not available most of the time when you need assistance. Other than that it's a cute little place to stay if you are on a budget and still need to get around Tokyo. Ppl staying usually keep a quiet atmosphere. Thank you Hotel Nadeshiko!

This hotel was lovely! The location is about 7~10min walking distance from Shibuya Station. A bit of a climbing walk so it felt longer with a luggage and a back pack but not bad at all! The carpet floor of my room wasn't so clean and I wished there were slippers available inside the room but other than that the beddings, towels, public bath, and the capsule rooms were kept very clean. There is a fan inside each room so that really helped to keep the air circulating. The only inconvenience I experienced were the noise, absence of the reception staffs, and the shower. The ppl in my room were generally quiet but you can basically hear every movement. There was a girl who had her alarm ring at 5am and didnt wake up till 5:40.. kept pressing snooze every 10min then 5min, then at 2min interval.. Woke everyone up.. so expect these things to happen. The front desk staffs weren't available for most of the time (there was no one at the reception for the most part other than the time I checked in) but the cleaning staff was so kind and helpful when I needed her assistant. Thank you!🙏🏻 The hot water tab was out of order in one of the shower booths so at peak bath hours some ppl had to wait for their turn. Anyhow, I went there in the winter and the room was warm and cozy! Oh and loved the Yukata! Would def revisit :)

First the most complicated. Especially for foreigners. It's incredibly difficult to contact someone for service without a Japanese phone. The reception doesn't open until 4 or 5 p.m. Even if you should respect the check in times, you may want to put your suitcases down beforehand or you may have questions. This is very difficult to do. There is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, you have to carry it up many narrow steps. Unfortunately, my capsule wasn't really clean. There were strange hairs and dust in the corners. The beds were thin and very hard. But the capsule itself is well equipped. The light in the room is always on. Even at night. So it's never really dark. There is no privacy with the showers. It's like a public onsen. You have to reckon with that. Use the showers at good times. Then you are alone. The location is really very good. A bit away from Shibuya Station. I think the price is too high for the lack of service and inconvenience. Everyone tries to do a good job. But more work needs to be done on cleanliness and service so that the price is justified.

A capsule hotel is just a hostel. I like a good hostel and I love a Japanese public bath, so picked this place. Overall experience was good and I would stay again, but I wasn't bowled over so it's a solid 4 stars. The good: - The location is both quiet and convenient. There are few hotels around Shibuya and they are bad value, so I'd much rather stay at Nadeshiko that at a much pricier depressing business hotel. - THE BATH! Read up on Japanese baths if you don't know what to expect, but I think it's such a nice and relaxing experience and definitely beats the absolutely tiny shower you'd get at one of the cheaper hotels. Hard to beat a hot bath after walking around all day. - Temperature and humidity in the dorm were perfect and there was plenty of room for suitcases. - There is a convenience store 1 minute away and a launderette on the ground floor. - There are useful amenities like yukata bathrobes, good hairdryers, curling irons, skincare sets, plentiful towels, toothbrush kits etc. - The guests were a quiet, friendly and respectful crowd. The not so good: - The building is a bit more tired than it looks online and the corridors/landings are effectively outside, as is common in older Japanese buildings. That said, it is clean and functional. - The reception is only staffed between 16:00 and 22:00, so if you want to store your luggage before then (or if there's any issue with your key card etc.), you need to get hold of them on the phone. What they don't realise is that tourists all have data only SIMs (I'm not even sure you can buy a tourist SIM with voice calls). This is a big oversight on their part and creates many issues. I've helped several people get in and call the hotel. Be ready to MacGyver something with a VoIP service. - The bath and "getting ready" area with vanities and sinks is closed for cleaning after 10 and until late afternoon. That seems excessive. - Bedding could be better but it didn't bother me. - The launderette doesn't sell laundry detergent (but you can buy a small pack from the convenience store!)

This was my first capsule experience. Aside from the ridiculously hard bed (side sleeper and it hurt my hips), resulting in poor sleep, I did enjoy the experience. The problems are as follows: was hard to drop my bag before checkin, checkin is at 5pm (def would not have booked if I knew that), and the onsen and powder rooms are completely closed from 10a-4pm, so plan on showering and getting ready in those time frames; and it competition with all other guests (only 4 showers total; 5 powder room seats). Location is 10 min from Shibuya station and crossing on foot, quiet street. Onsen DOES allow tattoos. :D

Place is 1km walk (note: uphill slopes) from shibuya mrt. Pros: There are only 24 capsules. Very small and quiet place. There is a lawson convenient right beside. Onsen is great! There was nobody when I was using it, basically private. They are also cute floral robes to be used. I was lucky to be on the 3rd floor so there were only 6 capsules in a room. There is a private toilet in the room. Cons: No lifts, you might want to request lvl 3 capsules. Lounge is ridiculously small. 5pm check-in and 10am check-out time is a scam. You don’t need 7hrs to clean such a small place. Pillows are pathetic. A place to stay if you like onsen, but I prefer not to stay again. Stayed 3d2n to tour shibuya.

Yelp
I loved this place! This was my first ever capsule hotel experience. My girlfriend and I liked the fact that it was near Shibuya station (a 13 minute walk that passed quickly) and that it was females only. I'm not sure how this capsule hotel would compare with a mixed gender hotel, but we were extremely surprised at how nice the capsule hotel was. It felt almost like a spa - everyone was respectfully quiet toward one another, it smelled really nice and felt incredibly relaxing. There is one big shared bathroom with two shower stalls, three of the seated shower seats you'd normally see at a spa, two individual sized hot tubs and one large hot tub. There is a separate area for people to use hair dryers/put on makeup. It was a lot more glamorous than we expected. Additionally, on the sleeping floors, there are two separate toilet rooms with a sink outside. The capsule itself feels private but I will admit the mattress is extremely thin - practically like sleeping on a wooden crate - and you can hear people shuffling around as they sleep. It was not a great sleep by any means, but as I was only there one day, and it was an experience, I didn't mind it. My recommendation would be to have thicker mattresses. The blankets and pillows are very nice though. And within the capsule there is a personal light and outlets for charging. When you pull the screen down for your capsule, you can't tell at all that there is a light on outside of your capsule. There is even a lounge area with computers, tea and snacks that you can sit in, which I took advantage of. WiFi here worked great. Though it seemed like the capsule hotel was pretty fully booked, it still felt private and quiet. Receptionist was very nice, spoke good English, and helpful. Overall, I felt like the capsule hotel was really well thought out to service/accommodate its customers. Another thing we LOVED about the place was at night, on our walk to Shibuya, the street came alive with all these super cute, small but not crowded restaurants. We ended up eating at two places, By the Sea (seafood) and a pizza place and loved both. I likened it to the Nob Hill area of SF. It was a great atmosphere outside of the craziness of the more popular areas. Each night stay in a capsule was ¥7300 and is best used for individual traveling. Despite the uncomfortable bed, I'd prefer staying here over an American motel - it's much better value.
