Been here quite a lot, cause of the food, atmosphere, and most important of all, the people.
Staff is friendly and boss is frank and open. Unlike other business owner or chef who most likely put up many different masks to please customer.
Food and drink is good, esp shōchū, guessed is one of the few in SG that serve many variety of shōchū, and yes Japanese shōchū, not Korean one, always get "offended" when other said shōchū is Korean...lol...
Some said is pricy but I think is subjective. There are omakase at $400 or $500 and there are some charging lesser than $100. When you compare quality and service, you will find the reason why. Nagomi does not serve just Omakase. You can order from the menu if you can read Japanese, or just tell the chef what you want to eat, like i always do.
Nagomi has been around for more than 15 years or approaching 20? Long standing for good reasons, seeing many other restaurants came and gone. Few to survived the toughest time during Covid. Hoped to have another good 20 years or more, where I can go to have comfort and nice food plus drink...
