Really beautiful architecture. No tickets required! I didn't know and felt a bit lost as the security guard did not speak English. But I did a quick online check and realised I could just walk around freely. There are exhibits in some of the rooms at the upper levels and basement.

An hour is probably enough to see everything.
There are well preserved rooms like courtrooms and holding cells to get a glimpse of what it may look like when it was still in use

Well preserved historical building. You can enter freely with no ticket. Self guided tour although displays are accompanied with descriptions in Japanese only.

In the basement, you can see solitary & group cells. We saw a lot of couples doing wedding photoshoots… so cute!

Very cool place to visit in Nagoya!! Absolutely stunning architecture! The building also used to serve as the police barracks and city jail.

I think they’re not really catering to foreign visitors. There weren’t many signs in English. Nor were there captions or explanations in English. The building itself, though, was beautiful.

Very cool judicial building from 1922! Free to visit. A good place to reflect on Japan's adoption of European-style law and how they reflected societal change in architecture.
Thorough and interesting exhibits (Japanese only), focusing on Taisho-era architecture in Nagoya, judicial architecture throughout Japan, plus the development of Nagoya over time.

It was a good place, however not perfect.
Honestly 99.9% of the information is NOT English. You can watch photos, books, things but without understating a single word.
From 3 floors, only 1 was used. The other two were inactive.
The place was quite cozy, so was a good experience, but has a lot to improve.
