The hotel lobby is on the 15th floor of the building and it is conveniently located adjacent to the JR line subway. The rooms are however a little dated and does not have great views. The tablet in the room does not work. Thankfully, there are manual switches to control the lighting. Despite that, the rooms were large in size and the beds were comfortable. The food in the lounge was decent but there were not many options. Service was decent with every staff politely helping us to their best of the abilities. For a convenient short term stay in Nagoya, the Marriott Associa is one of the best choices around.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful stay! My husband was on a business trip to Nagoya for a week and we stayed in this lovely hotel! First of all, this hotel is ideally situated above the Nagoya train/metro station, the wonderful Takashimaya department store and also a large choice of dining options in the tower, as well as dining options in the hotel. Our room was a great size with lots of storage so we could unpack suitcases. The gym is a good size with a yoga studio that offers classes and there's a pool and spa. For now you have to use an elevator outside the hotel to access the gym. We had access to the Concierge lounge on the reception level. They only have a Japanese breakfast in the mornings but it's delicious and beautifully presented! The buffet breakfast in the main dining restaurant is also delicious and extensive in it's choices. We found all the staff to be so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would consider this a luxury hotel and if you can afford it, a stay here is simply wonderful!

I had an amazing stay at the Nagoya Marriott Hotel! The location is unbeatable, with direct access to malls and the train station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The staff was exceptional—courteous, efficient, and always willing to go the extra mile. I was particularly grateful for the early check-in, which was a pleasant surprise after my early arrival. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and offered stunning views. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

Conveniently located right above the train station so easy access to convenience store, shopping mall and walkable distance to nearby bus Center. There is a need to change lifts at the lobby(Level 15) to get to the pick up point. (Room lift travels from Level 15-52) There is a need to tap your room card to open the entrance door on the room level which ensures safety. Staff were polite and able to communicate in English. Rooms were clean and size was good. Enjoyed the view of trains right below the hotel from the room window. Breakfast buffet spread was great and had a good view.

Lovely hotel. Loved the view of Nagoya from our room which was pretty at night. The rooms were very clean when we first arrived and subsequently the days after due to the impeccable room service. It’s close to Nagoya station allowing people to have easy transport. However, the highlight is the morning buffet in which the selection was very wide with the best food there being the Eggs Benedict.

Right above the Shinkansen station and linked direct to high rise shopping and restaurants. There truly is no better location in Nagoya:||1. Check in was the fastest I have had at any Marriott property in a long time. There was a dedicated Elite desk (am Titanium Elite) and the staff member knew exactly where to pull all necessary details from my profile. I literally had the keys to my room handed to me with a big smile within 120seconds of pulling up to her desk. |2. The rooms have unbeatable views as the hotel floors start well above those of surrounding buildings. No matter what room type you select, no other property in Nagoya can compete with these. Rooms were also spacious and very well maintained. This is not the newest property in Nagoya, so I was a little concerned prior to arriving, but need not have worried. The state of the room, bedding and bathroom fittings were all good.|3. The Executive Lounge has great views as well, but does get crowded at times. Food selection was not large, but of good quality. I especially enjoyed their pear tart, which was even available during daytime.|4. The breakfast was another area that could be improved. The welcome amenity for Titaniums does not include breakfast at the main restaurant buffet and I had to pay a surcharge to use this. Selection was then underwhelming on both the Japanese and European options. I think this should be looked at, since a good breakfast experience will be important to many guests.|5. Hotspring and pool access was complimentary for Titanium and Ambassador level Bonvoy members, which was great! This was however the only area where staff were unfriendly, with all other hotel areas featuring staff that went above and beyond in making their guests feel welcome.|6. There are dozens of restaurants and shops in the two skytowers that are linked to the hotel. Incredibly convenient, especially on bad weather days where one might not want to leave the hotel area at all.

Outstanding experience yet again! I love, love, love this hotel. Such excellent service, staff, cleanliness, and the location is perfect. I always look forward to staying here, and I love the executive lounge. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its staff. Highly recommend.

Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel is located at midst of Nagoya City and just directly above the Nagoya Station. You are basically can go anywhere from there by intercity trains to remote locations or by metro subways to local nearby point of interests (POI) and it is super convenience. There are lot of shopping malls and good F&B / sake shops around and you will never feeling tired to try and explore. The guest room hygiene is good as expected and I liked the hot water supply and temperature inside the bathtub. I found that the hot water supply and temperature in those Marriott-series hotel is far more better than those nowadays contemporary / modern hotels, which is so important to a tourist like me to take a relax after a whole-day travel visit in different POIs.

Yelp
This by far the most convenient place to stay in Nagoya. We hopped off the bullet train and got to the hotel in no time, literally. The lobby was very busy - just like the train itself - when we were there. However, the room was quiet and a good escape from all the noise and people. We love the convenience and the decent room setup. The services were pretty good too. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here should we come back to Nagoya.

Yelp
Our recent stay here was very good. Clean, convenient, and good customer service, also kinda bougie. I appreciated that even when they bell staff brought our luggage up to our hotel room, they removed their shoes before entering the hotel room. The staff was helpful in English, so no worries in communication. Getting off the Shinkansen, I loved how I can see signs for our hotel since it was attached to the station. There are a few entrances to the hotel elevators, so it is accessible separately from the station as well. Right out front, you're greeted with "luxury lane", if you're into that. The hotel itself is kept up really well, and had a great experience here. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
As a Bonvoy holder for over 8 years, I am ready to switch my AmEx product based on simple customer service flaws that in 2023 are intolerable. Let's begin: 1. I am appalled by the fact that I made a simple mistake and was treated like a pauper. My family and I planned on going to Nagano this weekend for the holiday, however, everything was booked because when Japan has a holiday, everyone goes on holiday. I was on Expedia trying to find available hotels, and I found the Nagoya Marriott Associa. I booked quickly because as I said everything was quickly selling out due to the holiday weekend. The fact that it wasn't should have given me pause. Our rush to make this last-minute weekend happen was absolutely the reason for my spacing out on what hotel we were staying at until we were checking in and I saw the Marriott Bonvoy elite line. My immediate thought was oh that's me. I brought up my card and then was told no, we actually can't give you any perks because we booked Expedia. And while I understand that that is the policy, a) mistakes happen and b)I also had my card with me which I used on Expedia‍. I tried to explain the situation, but none of that appeased them into allowing us early check in or access to the lounge, which are cardholder perks we hardly ever get to experience so would have been great to have today. 2. Adding to my pauper feeling, there was hair on the bed as well as on the bathroom floor. If I see it, housekeeping saw it, but apparently it wasn't important enough to be addressed. But we're just talking about what I see. My youngest child went under the bed and was put straight in the shower based on what he came out with. Deep shudder. 3. Speaking of that, we have two small children with us; in what universe would placing our room right by the elevator make sense? 4. The rooms are a decent size so they have that going for them, however, the decor is a bit early 2000s, which feels a bit dated in 2023. 5. If you'd like to swim, it's ¥3300 per person per day. In what universe would I, as a paying guest, want to pay more to use an amenity that was one of the main reasons I booked a stay at your hotel? Wild. 6. Lastly, I had a really long week, as many people often do. After rushing around trying to get to our destination, it's hard to continually hear "nai" for basic requests. I'm hoping this wasn't a case of Japanese othering but I would encourage the team to review policy when the implications are greater than the reward. As an aside, calling Marriott didn't help. In fact, only AmEx wanted to take action and help us get some satisfaction so they were more than happy to help me change my card to a different product if I decide to do so. 2.5 stars is generous but I think the ruination of my weekend with trite attitudes warrants a round down to 2. Please do better.

Yelp
For our Spring 2022 Japan trip, we decided to fly from Hawaii to Tokyo, then take the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Nagoya before going to our final destination of Gifu. Why the long trip? Well you save hundreds of dollars flying with ZIPAIR to Tokyo (NRT) instead of direct to Nagoya (NGO). The only downside of course is including the flight time, we travelled for more than 12 hours. We were due to arrive at the hotel at around 8PM, which is well past the standard 3PM check in time. The hotel is directly connected to Nagoya Station, so it is easy to find and also a great place to stay to access many train lines in the city, as well as the bullet train to take day trips to other cities. The lobby is located on the 15th floor. You'll take a left towards what I believe was one of their lounges and a nice little fountain you can enjoy. Then, you will take a right, which will either be a hallway leading to some of the first shops that you will see, or the second set of elevators that would take you to the guest rooms, additional facilities such as the gym and restaurants, as well as the Elite Lounge, which is only available for Titanium, Platinum and Ambassador level (I'm a Gold only, so I thought I should at least ask them lol) The lobby is very spacious and there are so many ways to access it since, again, it is connected to the city's main station. The front desk has both a general check in line, as well as a clearly marked Elite Member line. Arriving in the evening, there was practically no one there. But the other days when we passed by around 4PM, it looks like you could wait for a little bit before getting serviced. The staff that assisted us didn't seem to all speak fluent English, but it was definetly good enough to get you through check in and any basic help you might need. If you have their Marriott Bonvoy app, you could chat with the front desk and ask them any questions you might have or request for something in the room. I would recommend getting the app for that purpose. I believe most other Marriott properties offer that ability to chat, it's free to become a member, and you also gain points for every stay, so it doesn't hurt to become a member. Even if you purchase your tickets through a travel agency or Hotels.com or something like that, you should be able to give them your member number at check in to still get the points and receive assistance. As a gold, the drinks in the mini bar were free. It wasn't much, but better it was still appreciated. We also received a late check out at 2PM. Lastly, I'm not sure if it's because of my status, but we were given a corner room! The view was great from the 30th floor. You can enjoy views of the city, the trains passing through, as well as some of the mountains. If you're a light sleeper, I don't think you would have any trouble sleeping if you're facing the station. The room has a tablet that allows you to control the lights, look at the room service menu, check out some of the amenities and more. There is a desk with enough space to do some work. TV is large and has all the channels that you can find on any other Japanese TV, from dramas, news, some foreign programs, and occasionally interesting game shows or variety programs that we are so used to seeing online. These amenities are more than enough if you just plan to stay in the room for resting at the end of the day, but I feel it is also enough if you plan to spend your day in the room as well. The bathroom is spacious, includes all the needed toiletries, and has a decent sized tub that fills up pretty fast as well. You could also play the audio in the bathroom for "privacy" while you're using it, or just to enjoy your programs while soaking in the tub. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here when staying in Nagoya! Fairly priced, good amenities, and good location.

Yelp
Excellent hotel located next to the JR station in Nagoya. The rooms are very nice and the staff are always very friendly/helpful. Everyone at the hotel speaks English, so that is a big plus for travelers. If you have a Marriott Gold membership, the experience is well worth it. You get to check in on the 36th (?) floor for personalized check-in and check-out experience. They will also upgrade your room at no charge. They will also take your bags to your room for you while you enjoy the dining/drinks located on the same floor. I also discovered that they provide you with umbrellas which you can borrow if you forgot yours. Just be sure to return it to them before you leave!

Yelp
This has become my go to hotel when I stop by Nagoya. Its super convenient because the Shinkansen and the Meitetsu are five minutes away. Room is clean and comfy as expected. We were upgraded for this trip and had access to the lounge and complimentary breakfast. Staff and front desk were beyond friendly and helpful which is another reason why we enjoy staying here.

Yelp
For almost all westerners coming to visit Nagoya this is the only hotel in the area. In fact companies like Boeing occupies some floors and pay under $100/n to stay, since they all live in the hotel doing their own thing. I have stayed here past ten years and same people are still working in concierge and kitchen (don't ask why I know kitchen crew), some remembers me which is nice. With ten years in service, many things started showing age, but with meticulous maintenance rooms are still looking good, in fact far better than some hotels half the age in America. I've tried many restaurants in the building, and I could say they are all for show. I would rather hit street and have local meals. Breakfast buffet is overpriced and quite frankly waste, maybe you try once and decide. Fitness center has been remodeled this year, new cardio machine and free weights. Personal trainers are not hovering around Anymore which is welcome news. The access to the fitness center, however, is major pain for hotel guests. Because the fitness center is open to the public, compromise was made for hotel guests to take down the elevator from the room to 15th floor, walk across the front and cafe area, and back up to the fitness floor level....and you have to sign a document each time. The pool is very nice though. Concierge is nice, though usually packed all day. Back room with big screen is usually taken by big group. Breakfast there is nice with Japanese and some western style (hot and cold) items....and free. Overall this is a superb hotel and probably one of the best western brand hotel tailored perfectly for western guests in Japan.

Yelp
The hotel is clean and in an extremely convenient location but had problems with the staff and not entirely sure if it was due to communication problems or just laziness. Based on other reviews I would hope it's the former but given it was multiple instances I can't say.

Yelp
***This nice Marriott hotel (the Marriott Nagoya Associa hotel) has unbelievably polite and friendly service and is conveniently located next to a JR station where you can take many commuter trains to get around Nagoya and the neighboring cities as well as the Shinkansen (bullet train) to get to faraway big cities like Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo*** This Marriott occupies the top floors of two tall towers (52 floors) and is part of a massive complex that is also home to Nagoya's main train station, the JR Takashimaya Department Store (many floors), a mall of restaurants from reasonably priced Japanese fare like udon and tempura shops to French, Italian and many other non-Japanese restaurants (a Din Tai Fung is even located here). While Nagoya is not Osaka, Kyoto or Tokyo, this Marriott really puts you in an area where there is a lot to do within the hotel (a lot to eat as well) and convenient and frequently departing trains to get you to neighboring cities quickly and major cities like Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo in around two hours or less. The JR Takashimaya Department Store is fun to explore as it has moderate to upscale clothing options and accessories (lots of western brands) as well as all kinds of home goods and office goods. You will find great pens and office accessories, art, kitchen appliances and supplies, toys, model cars, and much more. The bottom floor of the JR Takashimaya Department Store features artisan patisseries and chocolate boutiques where you can purchase beautiful and delicious gourmet food gifts for friends and families. Many of these gifts are very pricey, but you will find some good deals here and there. There are many restaurants in this complex from moderately priced and quick places to nicer sit-down restaurants. This Marriott has several restaurants too. Next to the lobby is a big and open restaurant called Pergola that provides great views of the city. Pergola features a breakfast buffet that is Vegas casino breakfast buffet worthy with western options like eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, and potatoes as well as Japanese breakfast options like fish, rice, miso soup, seaweed, pickles, natto, and dumplings; you will also find lots of breakfast pastries, cereals, really great fresh fruit (including fruit that is not easily found in the U.S.), great cheeses, and an excellent made-to-order eggs station featuring a very personable and polite chef. There is also a lavishly decorated restaurant that offers afternoon tea as well as a formal French restaurant called Mikuni Nagoya. As mentioned, this Marriott is also next to Nagoya's main train station where you will find many commuter trains to take you to neighboring cities as well as the Shinkansen (bullet train) to get to Tokyo very quickly (the ticket to Tokyo is expensive though). The train station houses a wide variety of shops, convenience stores and order-at-the-counter eateries to pick up a quick bite, a drink or a fun snack. The hotel itself is also quite nice. The best part of the hotel is the service, which is unbelievably friendly, professional and polite (easily the best service I've experienced at any hotel). The rooms are comfortable and very clean though the decor feels dated like a lot of Marriotts (some of the views are nice though). Most rooms feature small double beds. The room temperature is comfortable and the bathroom is nice (toiletries like toothbrushes and hairbrushes are included with your stay). The bathroom is equipped with a bidet toilet too. The room does not come with an iron / ironing board, but you can request one for the duration of your stay (at no cost). The hotel has an on-site fitness center, but it requires an additional fee. I did not try much of the food in the hotel's Concierge Lounge, which is open to Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum members, but their desserts included a great variety of mini (cocktail party-like) dessert bites that are beautiful and tasty. Their desserts are much better than most of the desserts I've had at other Marriott brand Concierge Lounges. Room rates are not that bad. A hotel of similar quality would be much more expensive in Tokyo; of course, Nagoya is not the attraction that Tokyo is. As mentioned, service is incredible as every staff member delivers consistently polite, professional, warm, and friendly service. If you are visiting Nagoya for business or pleasure, the Marriott Nagoya Associa is a nice hotel that has a very convenient location with so many shops and restaurants as well as a train station that can get you anywhere in the country (quick and cheap trains to the airport too). While the rooms could be more luxurious given the hotel's nice lobby, restaurants and surroundings, I think you will be very satisfied with your stay at the Marriott Nagoya Associa. This hotel offers parking, but I am not sure what the parking rates are.

Yelp
Great hotel in Nagoya located at train station. Rooms have been recently updated and beds are comfy. The bath products are great. We had access to concierge lounge which is open all day. Indoor pool is huge and workout facilities are typical. Spa looked nice even though I didn't use it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed on 40th floor with a wonderful view. I would stay here again if in the area. It is close to nail salons, shopping, dining, and train station/metro.

Yelp
I am a Marriott Platinum member and this is the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. First they charge me extra for having my wife with me -- none of the other Japanese properties do that. Second the hotel is catered for Japanese. Even the remote is in Japanese. The staff does not care about your concerns - primarily because they do not understand how pissed off I was when I complained! I come to Japan often but am not likely to stay here again. I can get better service at many hotels here and not the crap the front desk here!!
