The entry ticket for Indian adults is reasonably priced at ₹52, with different rates applicable for international tourists and students. Tickets can also be conveniently booked online through the official government website. One can hire a tour guide at Rs.150, though it is not required. The approach to the fort is via a broad and well-maintained walkway that leads you to the impressive main architecture. At the entrance, the Sheesh Mahal is located to the left, though visiting it requires a separate ticket. The fort’s architecture is dominated by a grand palace and a spacious terrace offering panoramic views of Jaipur. Several sunset points are perfect for capturing the magical hues of the evening sky. One of the highlights is the opportunity to enjoy the Pink City’s lights from the fort after sunset, as it remains open until 8 PM. While the fort itself could benefit from some maintenance, the surroundings are kept clean, and basic amenities such as toilets are available. Ample parking space is provided, making it convenient for visitors. The views on the way to Nahargarh Fort are amazing, especially during the rainy season or winter when the greenery and clouds make the scenery beautiful. From the top, you can see both the city and nature at their best. I went by 2-wheeler and found that the shorter route shown on Google Maps was very steep and tricky in the rain — the longer road was much easier and safer.

Perched atop a ridge in the Aravalli Hills, Nahargarh Fort serves as a striking northern backdrop to the Jaipur city. Nahargarh, which means the abode of tigers, provided a formidable defence against the enemies in the olden days. Today, the palace remains a popular spot for local picnics and a major tourist attraction. The palace features 12 identical boudoirs for the queens and a suite for the king, all connected by corridors and adorned with intricate murals. The fort looks splendid especially when illuminated at night and offers dazzling view of the city lights below.

The most mesmerizing part, though, is the view from the fort's terrace, where you can see all of Jaipur sprawled beneath you. The sunset from here is particularly beautiful and worth the hike up…🌆 Inside, you can also visit the museum that gives you a deeper insight into the fort’s history, along with several lovely spots for photos. Whether you're a history buff, nature lover, or just someone who enjoys exploring, Nahargarh Fort is a must-visit.

Visited Nahargarh Fort recently and had a great time. The entry ticket is very reasonably priced at just ₹52 per person. The fort is open from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore at your own pace. We booked our own bike to get there — cost about ₹50 for parking, which is also fair considering the location and security. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, especially during sunset. The fort itself is well-maintained and offers a mix of history, architecture, and panoramic city views. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Jaipur! Would recommend bringing water and wearing comfortable shoes, especially if you plan to walk around a lot. Overall, a memorable and budget-friendly experience. 👍

Yet another symbol of Rajasthan's proud history, Nahargarh is a gem of a monument. A must visit for all who travel to Jaipur, it will prove to be an essential visit for lovers of history. We visited in Mid Sept 2025 and although the weather was far from conducive to a trek around the fort premises, the visit was made easier by the cool evening breeze as we waited for the Sunset. Apart from being another one of an incredibly crowded attraction, it does have its own charm. Along with a mesmerizing sunset over the city of Jaipur, you will also be treated to a particularly beautifully maintained architecture.

Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur is a must-visit place, especially for nature and view lovers. Jaipur is known as the Pink City, and people here are very humble and helpful. Bargarh Fort is a great spot to visit in the evening, as the view of the whole Jaipur city from the top looks amazing. You can feel the true Jaipur vibes while enjoying the sunset and beautiful city lights. The atmosphere is peaceful, and it gives a perfect place to relax and click great pictures.
