Nai Ek Roll Noodle

The street food restaurant Nai Ek Roll Noodle is located on the main street of Bangkok's Chinatown district. We discovered it while strolling down the street looking for a place to dine. The restaurant seemed authentic from the first moment. We had to wait a few minutes in line before getting a table, but during the wait they gave us a menu so we could already get an idea of what we wanted to eat. Once seated, we were quickly taken our order and in no time our steaming plates arrived. In the soup with roll noodles you can choose up to 3 cuts of the pork, I preferred to limit myself to 2 (the crispy pork is really good!).

Went there in the morning, so there was no line. Seated right away. Strongly recommended the roast pork and combination noodle. The roast pork surprised me, so crunchy and flavorful. The pork in the soup tastes so fresh and tender. The noodle are different from others and rarely see this type. The soup has a strong white pepper flavor may feel a bit spicy if you can’t handle it.

We rocked up about 2330 and they are still fairly busy. Ordered a roast pork rice and roast pork noodle soup. The pork was light and crunchy skin. Not too salty but every flavourful. Rice also came with greens and they were not over cooked at all as most places blanch it first to save time. This is a complete surprise find and I am glad I walked in here.

First taste of Thai kway chap, which offers a bowl of rice rolls in a peppery and herbal soup, topped with different pork parts. The crispy pork is a winner here, deserve a standalone order! The queue system is very efficient, order and pay before you are seated, and the dishes come within minutes. Very well-oiled machine.

The hype is justified! The roll noodles were very tasty, the broth was rich and the noodles were chewy. Crispy pork was very crispy and one of the best I've tried. The pork ribs and bamboo pith soup was hearty. My favorite has to be the braised pork rump though, just melts in your mouth. Highly recommended!! We went a little past midday and waited about 5 minutes.

i arrived in Chinatown, so we ran right away. I was wondering what it tasted like. There was no smell of pig intestines. Overall, it tasted clean. Everything was good, except the store was a little hot

Michelin bin gourmand winner 2018/2019 and still completely reasonable. They do every dish with perfection. Go for the tender, perfectly crispy pork belly and the fall off the bone stewed pork with rice and pickled greens. Nothing you order here will disappoint you.

We found this restaurant through an Instagram reel—someone reviewed it, and since we love crispy pork, we just had to try it. We came around 10 AM, no queue at all. Got seated right away, ordered, and the food came pretty quickly. Here’s what we ordered: 1. Deep Fried Crispy Pork ✨ 2. Pork Spareribs with Chinese Herbs ✨ 3. Roll Noodle Soup with Minced and Crispy Pork ✨ 4. Pork Spareribs Stew The crispy pork was insanely good—possibly the best we’ve ever had in our lives. Seriously, it stayed crispy even after being soaked in the noodle soup. That’s some magic right there. And none of the pork dishes had that unpleasant “porky” smell. Hard to explain, but you’ll get what we mean once you try it 🫶 Only downside for me was the chrysanthemum tea—it was way too sweet, but I personally don’t like sweet drinks, so take that with a grain of salt 🥲 Price-wise, everything felt fair for the portion, quality, and flavor. We ended up eating here four times during this trip. It’s officially on our must-visit list every time we’re in Bangkok 🥰
