Celine did my nails today and they are perfect! Exactly what I wanted and asked for and she was very patient and attentive. The flower work is so delicate and sweet. She really took her time selecting colors and creating a soft yet elegant look for me. I’m very happy with what I got and appreciate Celine so much!!!

Edit: update 3/29 - after the salons response, I had to come back twice within the 7 days because the acrylic broke in three nails and the paint was chipping. The second time I came in, I was sat with the original lady. It was clear she did not want to work on me, soaked my hand (for no reason it seemed) and walked away, leaving me alone for about 15 minutes.. anyways, Lily and Terri were both fantastic and fixed the issues that were clearly the First woman’s mistakes. Adding a stat for the salons response and Terri and Lily. I’ve been coming here off/on for a year and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. 0 stars for 1st woman but Sarah (D.) deserves 5 stars. Came in at 2pm to get a full set. I wish I’d gotten the 1st woman’s name but she was horrible. While “applying” the monomer, she was literally splashing all over my finger and was using a brush that was entirely too large and using so much acrylic. After this, I noticed there were so many gaps between the acrylic and my cuticle (1st picture). When I pointed it out, she asked “oh do you want more?” And I responded yeah, I’ll need a refill within the hour??? After this interaction, I figured she’d use a smaller brush but nope, pulls out another large brush. I stopped her then and said I wanted to get someone else. I will say I’m pleased by Sarah’s work and correction, she did phenomenal and was very sweet. However, I’m beyond shocked they still charged me full price ($75) after being there for 2.5 hours and having to request to have someone else and even more they tried to get me to do a pedicure same day.. I’ve already spent too much of my Sunday being irritated, annoyed and upset during an appointment that was meant to help all of that. My skin has chemical irritation from the first’s application (3rd picture) and under the nails theres so much acrylic build up.(2nd picture). AND a nail has already chipped, 15 mins after being home! (4th picture) All in all, I doubt I’ll be back unless I work only with Sarah. She is the saving grace there. Sarah did the best with what she could with the first person’s horrendous ground work.The actual nails look extremely pretty and I’m pleased with her work. I could only imagine the amazing work Sarah can do without being given the mess of someone else’s.

Came in with a friend to get pedicures, the salon was clean and they have a good selection of polish. The water in my foot bath was cold when I sat down, she added a small amount of hot water but that barely brought it to a lukewarm temperature. The jets also were not working. In my opinion, the service was sloppy. Nail polish not applied evenly and not applied to the edge of my nails. I asked for the big toes to be re-done since they were the most obvious. Unfortunately, they did not re-do the polish and only added an extremely thick layer to the polish already on. This still did not fix the gaps on the edge of my nails that I pointed out. See the photos attached to this review where polish is not applied to the edge of my nails. Overall dissatisfied with this place and probably won’t return. Extra frustrating because the friend I came in with had a much better job done on her pedicure and her foot bath had hot water with working jets.

Helen was amazing! It was my first time and always get very detailed designs. I was so impressed with everything! Helen’s Jurassic Park nails are epic. I got a whole new set because it was time.

I’ve done all of my nail sets with Betty, and she does a great job every time! Betty is the best in the biz. Always so creative with her artwork and just a great time to spend a good 1-2 hours with. I always feel leaving satisfied after a nail sesh with Betty! She deserves all the praise in the world 🙌 the pictures don’t do justice to how amazing the nails look irl

Having just moved to the neighborhood I wanted to get my nails done and chose this nail salon as it offers a plethora of options and its fairly popular. The first time I went I was paired with Derrick, who gave me a full set and beautiful Disney designs. Upon my second visit, I chose to try someone else because you always need to have options. Rubi V may be a lovely person but she was extremely slow. I showed her some designs and while she tried replicating, which wasn't bad, it definitely could have been better. This review is not meant to bash this salon because I had NO detrimental issue with staff nor location and totally plan on returning. Trial and error is the name of the game. I'll try every nail artist in this shop until I have my favs, lol.

Betty E is the absolute best!! She is so talented and does the most amazing nail art, but also kills it if you just go basic. She also has been able to keep my nails so healthy that I am able to keep my natural nails long without needing tips. I won’t let anyone else touch my nails!!!

The process of booking an appointment was easy. The front desk staff was welcoming and quick to service clients. My nail tech was very rough and did not pay attention to detail (gel polish not cleaned up). When I got home I noticed that I had a long cut from what I assumed was the foot file being too rough. I would have appreciated at least an apology for an acknowledgement of the accident. Overall definitely NOT worth 75 for a standard pedicure.

Emily did a great mani and pedi with Dazzel Dry. My feet are extremely sensitive and Emily was very gentle with my feet. The nail salon was very clean and relaxing.

Lily was fantastic. 10/10 recommend. She was amazing and a expert on her craft. I would come back here 1000 times over!

I got my nails done by angel- half way through my no chip acrylic manicure I told her that a couple of the tips were super crooked. She then proceeded to tell me that my fingers were crooked and it wasn't the nail. I then asked for a manager (who wasn't onsite) but Terri stepped in and trying to help out. She did the best she could to help me without taking off the entire set. I ended up being there for over 1.5 hours. I told them I didn't want to pay for the service because of how horrible it looked and it was not what I wanted at all. I even said l'd be happy to tip Terri the entire bill because of how nice she was. They then processed to tell me that I had to pay for the mani still even though they looked horrible and it's NOT what I wanted at all. The front desk girl who was short and had black hair was nothing but RUDE and would barely give me the mangers name and email. I will NEVER be returning and will tell all of my friends who live in the area my experience.

Just tried here for my first time! I love the space! The guy working the front desk was awesome, he brought me tea!! I went to Marisa, I love the color of my nails. I got tips, there was a lot of trouble putting them on and I have nail glue on the back of my hands. I like the almond shape but these all seem to be different lengths. My nails are very streaky from the top coat, and some have chips/white streaks? I'm thinking from not allowing them to dry and putting on lotion too soon. I would like to try again to be able to have a better experience, I will need to try someone else.

I'm so glad I got a chance to stop by this location! I live in the South Loop but I heard so many great things about them I had to try them out for myself. The customer service is great; everyone is really nice and helpful. They have a wide range of colors and they're great with designs! I had designs on my toes and they were amazing. The place is really neat, friendly and very comfortable. They havea ATMATM that doesn't charge a fee. Please note that there is a fee if you use credit card thus the ATM. But I will be back again and you guys should definitely check them out. They'll confirm the design you want to see if that's something they could do beforehand and I really do appreciate that

I was able to get my nails done with Angel today during my lunch hour. Angel did a great job of removing my previous dip and did such a great job with the new set. I love the vibe of the salon and will be back again!

I've struggled with this spot. It's very hit or miss. I get my nails done every 4 weeks, I have been for years so I know when something isn't done properly. So if they don't seal your nail properly it will chip and if you get chrome it will come off if not sealed properly, which is the case for me. It's been less than two weeks and my nails are chipped. This happened to me one other time in another state and they recognized it was not sealed properly and had good customer services and fixed it free of charge. However, Nailacarte after 7 days will NOT fix their mistake free of charge. You have to pay for THEIR mistake. I already spent $70 to get them done. I do not feel I should spend another penny. Really disappointed, as I come here monthly. Spoken to many in this area who warned me about this location and had to see for myself I guess.

So disappointed. I got my nails done Monday night (hardening gel or whatever it is). The style I wanted was round. I received pointy nails with air bubbles and one nail already broke. Highly disappointed. Their pedicures are good. Will not come back

Dani did a phenomenal job. She took her time with my dip powder removal and cleaning of my nails. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she copied it to a T. Even the small details I barely saw in the design. I would highly recommended her. Price was definitely reasonable for the work that went into my nails.

What I wanted: Chrome full-set acrylic (oval medium length) and cuticles Price: $104 but 10% birthday discount Location: safe area, clean, aesthetically pleasing Would I go back: No, I literally wanted to cry after the shaping but I held it in and kept a smile. Although I didn't like the outcome of my nails and wanted to leave ASAP, the workers are nice. I don't think this is medium length, the shape and lengths are all over the place. With all that said, this was my personal experience and I don't think everyone's experience will be the same

Man this mani lasted me a month! I usually don't go so long, but after a certain point I just wanted to see how long they'd last. The polish did start chipping around week 3 and that's when I said it's time for a new set. Don't judge my ashy hands too hard but that was my hands right before walking into the salon. Came out brand new! Henry didn't remember me or anything so I didn't feel too special lol - I'm looking for a consistent nail tech though so maybe i'll try someone new. This time around we were watching Love is Blind: Brazil which was a vibe haha

I used to go here all the time until I started getting charged $5 plus $5 plus $5 more each time I went.. they started charging me to "shape my nails" when I have literal square nails. Also, there was paint (gel) absolutely EVERYWHERE under my nails. So disappointed and they charged me $100 last time for my nails that look like this! Probably not going back because of this.

Elizabeth This place started out amazing. Its in a great location and I desperately want this to be my nail spot. Found this awesome nail tech henry - and eventually he left. My nails were beautiful and would consistantly last 2 + weeks. Since then all my no chips have chipped in less than a week. i have been doing gel for years and never had that happen. when i asked the front desk they said no chips should only last 1 week...but they aren't even lasting a week. i found a new salon for nails and no chips are back to lasting 2 - 3 weeks. On my membership - i have tried to cancel - 3x, twice over email (no response) and once in person (the front desk isn't able to cancel)....i am not sure how I get out of this! Recently walked in for a pedicure - at 8:30 am on a weekday to full blown loud club music (which i had never ever experienced there in prior visits). it was so loud that i could hear it through noise cancelling headphones + my music playing....i asked twice to have it turned down and i was told the owner likes it that loud (but not sure where the owner was, i was the only person in the store besides the front desk and nail tech). By the time i left, the music had returned to a more typical level but it was pretty miserable to listen to loud dance music at 8:30 am when you just want to relax.. Feels they have lost their way.

I paid 31.20$ for a short set acrylic removal . The acrylic isn't even fully off of my nails. I understand it takes a while to remove & removals are tedious so I usually wouldn't complain if the acrylic wasn't fully off, but 31$ for removal is very expensive. The service received doesn't match the cost I had to pay.

Book with Betty E for the best nail art and best gel x application I've ever seen! Betty is so creative and skilled with nail art and every set she's done on me is perfectly applied and lasts forever. The retention is unbelievable. Betty is also super friendly, chill, and fun to talk to. I look forward to every appointment because I know I'm gonna have fun and leave with beautiful art on my nails.

So I came to visit the first time and my experience was okay. I had an appointment with Sunny and what I wanted done was gel x and a pedicure. I told her I wanted a narrow look but I kinda didnt get that but I was okay with it. There were a few nails I wanted her to correct and i literally was told "your finger is crooked". I didn't say anything cause i don't like being a sore person like that. However, after I left I realized how bad and crooked my nails looked. You can see some of the pics that I took. I had no chip on my toe nails and I was charged $5 for it to be removed which I get but I never got charged for something like that before. You would think they would want to remove it to do their service but just thought I'd let my fellow yelpers know that you'll have to pay to remove it. In addition, if you pay with card, there is a 4% surcharge so make sure you bring cash. As for parking, it's metered on the street so know you'll need to fork that up too. I really wanted to enjoy the experience but the work I got, I was NOT happy. I was even told I would have to pay extra for an "experienced technician" but the work I got, is that really someone who is experienced? Idk if she was having a bad mood cause she wasn't as personable as well but regardless, the work was horrible. I'd like to come back to give it a try with another technician but I'm on the fence.

Consistency is a bit lacking here. I love that they are so accommodating, and when they're good, they're good. But I've had a few bad experiences now that have left me not wanting to go back. Sometimes it feels that the work is rushed and as someone who enjoys getting the matching dip and no chip combo, the colors seem to not match most times and a lot of times the two colors are not even close.

Such a pleasant and efficient experience! I had a simultaneous appt and the nail techs made sure I was comfortable the entire appt, all while doing an amazing job on my mani + pedi. Daniela & Gigi were both very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the simultaneous appt if you want to save yourself a lot of time! It only took an hour for removal & reapplying no-chip gel!

Visited for the first time today and for a first timer, here are my thoughts: 1. Customer Service 5/5 - the staff was very friendly and polite. I was running behind by 5 minutes and they were super understanding and accommodating and advised me to take my time. This might seem simple but idk how many businesses threaten the 15 minute grace period in response so I really appreciated the understanding. 2. Ambience 4/5 - the salon was clean, spacious, chairs were comfy. Really all that you'd expect and nothing too crazy. 3. Nail Tech 5/5 - I honestly forget her name but she didn't a great job! When I called to book they initially asked who I wanted to go with but I had no clue. They rest assured me that it really didn't matter because all of their techs come very skilled. With that, I let them choose for me and she did exactly what I asked. I showed her a photo and the rest was magic. 4. Price 2/5 - this is why I can't give 5 stars. The prices online aren't totally accurate. I came in with gel x already and an almond shape. I requested gel x fill with a design which I showed her a photo of. On the website the fill and the nail design prices were quoted, so I already had my expectations set pricing wise. When I was done and saw the bill, I was . The price of the fill in was the only thing that didn't come by surprise. They charged for my length which I don't consider long by the way. They charged for my shape, my nails were already almond shape. The tech asked if I wanted to keep my shape and I said yes but asked her to clean it up a little. They charged $40 for nail art which was the most shocking... online they quoted $5 for less than 3 colors. I guess I didn't realize it was $5 per nail, but even then, $40 didn't make sense considering all 10 fingers had designs. When I asked the front desk they told me they charged me for a French and nail design and that's how they came up with $40. It's fine but I'd appreciate more transparency when it comes to costs. I did ask if I should expect the same pricing next time and the receptionist said she doesn't know, it just depends so there goes that. With that, I would love to try it one more time, maybe without designs to see if their pricing aligns with what's online. The thing is, I have no problem paying the price, as long as I am getting what I ask for AND there's transparency into costs. In this case, I got what I asked for but felt a bit bamboozled by the cost.

I made my first visit to nailacarte recently and sadly do not think I'll be returning. I got a dip manicure done a few weeks ago here and the technicians were friendly. I did have to wait a bit after my scheduled appointment time, but they were pretty busy so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After one week of my nails being done, one of the nails completely popped off. This was my first dip manicure, but I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. I also got the dip manicure on my natural nails. I was able to go back and get it redone for an additional $5. When I went back all of the dip techs were booked, but the tech at the front said she would do it quickly so I didn't have to come back, which I appreciated. Then the next day another nail cracked and eventually popped off as well. Not sure if my original tech didn't do a good job or what happened here. I'm not very rough with my hands, so I was surprised at how quickly they started wearing down. Unfortunately wouldn't recommend a dip manicure here.

when I made my appointment. I specifically asked for a certain person. I made my appointment for that time slot. when I arrived I was told someone else would be doing my nails. I asked for the person I requested and was told it would be a long wait. well I got my nails done by a random and they look terrible. she hurt me a couple times. for $110 I'm extremely disappointed. if the person doing nails is fairly new or doesn't know how to do good nails why would you charge full price? I would have said something when I was there but it took her almost 2 hours. My nails look bulgy, uneven and the gel is hanging over my skin. I had expected to be treated better when you book an appointment with someone... what was the point of having the option??

Angel was amazing! she did a french nail for me and it was amazing. very clean and she has an eye for detail.

DO NOT go here for a manicure. I've been twice, with two different techs, and both times I've walked away with a horrible manicure. This last time was the last straw for me as I left with nail polish all over my fingers, my nails cut down to stubs, cuticles massacred, and the most uneven polish with some thick spots and some totally see through spots on each and every nail. When the tech was checking me out I realized I hadn't even been with the tech who I made the appointment with. I had chosen that tech based on her reviews. When I complained to management that said that their system "moves appointments around depending on availability so we suggest texting or calling us if you have a request for a specific tech." So even if you book online and choose a specific tech, you still have to call them to ensure you actually get them, which seems crazy to me.

Emely did a wonderful job. I came into the shop for a gel manicure. I absolutely loved my experience with her. The shape was perfect and my polish application was even better. Thank you Emely!

The only reason I'm hesitant to post this review is because I don't want my main guy, Brian, to get booked up, lol. Selfishness aside- NailaCarte is overdue for a Kelcie review. I'm very particular about my nails (sorry, Brian) but I always leave NaC stunned that the nails I'm looking at are actually mine. I've started getting dip manicures, and when I say my nails have never been better.....! Brian is a master at his craft, and takes his time shaping my nails to perfection. Dip manicures can have a tendency to look like "dinosaur eggs" because of the thickness, but not in Brian's house! My nails feel strong, and I've never gotten more compliments on my nails since I've started going to NailaCarte. Thank you Brian and team for making me feel like a queen!

This salon is very clean and professional. From the front desk gals to the techs, truly it's a welcoming place. BUT BUT BUT... my nail tech Betty is truly the best. She's super skilled and her creativity shines with her nail designs. But I keep coming back because she is also very patient with me just wanting simple designs too. My natural nails are growing strongly and that's thanks to Betty!

Michael did a perfect job and he found the exact color I was looking for. He paid attention very close to detail and worked well with what I wanted. Will definitely go back for a re-fill! Good pricing too.

Hands down the best nail salon in Chicago, and the fact that they have 4 locations makes them even better! Travis took really good care of me, I had gotten dip at Orleans nail spa in river north and they cracked literally a day after getting them done. They refused to fix my nails or do anything for me after being a loyal customer for over 3 years, but I got lucky for finding NAILaCarte. Travis came to the rescue, they right away greeted me with a glass of wine when I first walked in, they have great music and everyone is very energetic and friendly. the vibes there is amazing. I didn't want to leave, I will definitely be coming back.

Betty has done my nails multiple times and I always get so many compliments on them. I bite my nails and she is very gentle and has helped me grow them out. Love her!

Lost a customer today. The only good thing about this place is Terry and the fact that they play reality TV. You get a new nail tech every time no matter who you book with, different people for pedicures and manicures, and just sloppy work. I'll be taking my money elsewhere and encouraging anyone I know to go somewhere else. My nails have truly never looked worse

Friendly, professional and talented I never had someone I went to consistently to get my nails done before, but she is the only one I have been seeing since chancing upon her over 6 months ago. I was determined to find a new nail salon in the area, and this one caught my eye with the positive 4 and 5-star Yelp reviews. I called to book an appointment and great news, the date and time I gave them worked perfectly. There's meter parking in front and close nearby. When I arrived in the salon, I went to the front desk to check-in. It took a few minutes for me to get checked in as there was a mix of customers trying to pay at the desk and others like me who were arriving for an appointment. Nonetheless, I waited about 5 minutes and was told to choose a color. My favorite part about this experience was the relaxing, (mostly) quiet environment and the nail technicians attention to detail when doing my pedicure. Overall, I paid $40 for my service which I would say is pretty average for the location. This salon did live up to my expectations. I will be back!

My favorite nail salon in the city! Such a clean and beautiful environment and the staff and service are incredible. I always leave with the most beautiful long lasting nails! The selection of colors is incredible and the technicians are all incredible artists.

Quick update: I got a dip mani and my nails have already cracked. Total waste of money.

I live in the neighborhood and decided to check out this nail salon for a last minute gel mani, when I couldn't get into my usual spot. I called in to book an appointment and they were great fitting me in. I arrived for my appointment on time but ended up having to wait 10-15 minutes. There's a large selection of polish choices, so that's a plus. Julie / Julz was my nail tech and she did a great job listening to what I wanted and helped me decide. She was meticulous with my french and left my nails looking great! I also love that I can Venmo / Zelle for tips. Pricing is reasonable for the area and my mani lasted at least 2 weeks. I also appreciated that I wasn't pushed about a membership...TBH no one even asked.

Would not recommend, the technician never asked me how I liked it or what I wanted for my acrylic full set. Once the set was done, I could also see numerous skill errors once I could look closer and it's more expensive than other salons in Chicago. Not worth it

Worst manicure ever! My no chip mani is already chipping & breaking after one week! I had a really bad experience from the moment I walked in. The front desk girl didn't tell me where the no chip polish was so I wasted five minutes looking at the wrong polish. Then, the nail tech I had answered a personal phone call while doing my nails super unprofessional. She didn't even file my nails they are all uneven she only filed one. Lastly, I couldn't believe they didn't even offer a hand massage with lotion at the end this was not a relaxing experience at all. Honestly I want my money back.

I've been getting a classic mani-pedi here for the last two months and I am extremely happy with the service. The salon is nice, staff is super friendly and timely and my nails always look great. Highly recommend!
