Nailed It Fish and Chips

Simple menu. Fish and chips, fish only or chips only. Ordered the fish and chips. Succulent taste. Friendly husband and wife owner. The place resembles an american style diner, even the washrooms are decorated with those old NBA basketball cards of the 80s, nice touch! Prices are the around the normal range for a eat-out in Iceland. Would recommend this joint.

The BEST fish and chips I’ve ever had. The cod was perfectly cooked (moist, flaky, hot!), tasted really fresh, and the batter had a crisp, shattering quality that melts in your mouth beautifully with this huge chunk of cod. Have to add the red seasoning too! My one criticism is I would’ve preferred a lemon wedge to squeeze on the fish, but that’s personal preference and the meal was still incredible. Be sure to stop by here if you’re in the area!

100% they actually Nailed it!! Hands down the best fish and chips we had in Iceland. We had fish and chips from few other spots along the ring road, but this was above all. The owners are very sweet and excellent service.

We got fish & chips from here as our dinner, and oh my god. I’m not exaggerating here but it is the best fish & chips I’ve ever had in my life! The seasoning, the sauce, the chips, and the fish all incredible. I assume the fish is freshly caught because I’ve never had fish of that quality before… Portion size is good, just about right though I wouldn’t complain with a little more, and of course the price is to be expected as it’s Iceland! Good sized portion of fish and chips. They have their own sauce (no tartar sauce unfortunately- not sure if this is typical in Iceland or the rest of Europe?). Also the inside is very cute with different furniture and decor, makes for a nice spot to eat as your take a break from exploring.

In Australia we do fish and chips pretty well, but this was the best fish and chips I've ever had. Golden, crunchy, delicious. The service was so warm and friendly as well. If you're in Hofn; do yourself a favour after a long day and stop in

A surprisingly amazing fish and chip restaurant. The fish was fresh, crisp on the outside, and juicy on the inside. You decide how much salt you want to add. This was really great for me as I don't like salty food.

Hands down. Best Fish and Chips!!! Chef Karl was very friendly and personally recommended sweet chilli sauce to go with the best fish and chips!!!. He was quick and gave my order im less than 5 mins. Super hot food in super cold place by Super cool Chef Karl. Thank you Chef Karl.
