Nailed It Fish and Chips

Good sized portion of fish and chips. They have their own sauce (no tartar sauce unfortunately- not sure if this is typical in Iceland or the rest of Europe?). Also the inside is very cute with different furniture and decor, makes for a nice spot to eat as your take a break from exploring.

Honestly this is probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. We got a fish and chips for two. It happened to be so good we ordered another basket of just fish. The cod was cooked perfectly, still held together but flakey. The batter wasn’t too thick or even oily. The fries were also quite good. Seriously great value for the money with a nicely done interior that is clean and comfortable. Service was quick and the staff friendly.

The best fish and chips I had on our entire trip ~ so perfect, fresh, salty and crispy! Highly recommend to anyone staying or passing through Höfn. The gentleman who took our order was so kind and cheerful, he made me feel like a local customer. Thank you so much! 🩵

This is a cute little local seafood restarant in Hofn, Iceland that makes delicious fish and chips. The cod was sweet and delicious. I asked for ketchup for my fries and was snickered at with a response of .."not in Iceland!". Im happy to report they were just as tasty without the ketchup. If you get a chance, the Icelandic fish is delicious and very fresh, give it a try. The meal for two isnt really a full meal for two if you are very hungry but its perfect as a mid day hold over before dinner. 4,400 ISK As a quirky aside, the men's room here is wall to wall basketball cards...who woulda thought! 🤣 Definitely not something you see everyday! Just a block away is a really cool basalt column carved into a horn.

There’s just something special about using fresh caught fish to make fish and chips. Especially when it’s not pre-prepared! The most tender and flavorful fish and chips you’ll likely find anywhere! Also the service is phenomenal! Well done lads!!

After reading so many positive reviews we waited 1 hour( Please check opening hours) for Nailed it to open. It was totally worth it. Amazing fish and really good chips. Cozy place and friendly owner.

A very cozy little restaurant. Lovingly decorated. The friendly chef cooks here himself. The fish and chips were delicious. Plastic-free is also worth mentioning. We'll definitely stop by again on our next stop in Höfn.
