The Nairobi Animal Orphanage, established in 1964, is a wildlife rehabilitation center situated within Nairobi National Park, approximately 7 kilometers from the city center. It serves as a sanctuary for orphaned, injured, and abandoned animals, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, monkeys, and various bird species, providing them with medical care and shelter with the aim of eventual reintroduction into the wild. Beyond its conservation efforts, the orphanage offers educational programs to raise public awareness about wildlife protection and biodiversity.
As of 2025, the entrance fees are as follows:
Kenyan Citizens and Residents: Ksh 215 for adults and Ksh 125 for children
Non-Residents: $22 for adults and $13 for children
