|We recently stayed at the Serena Nairobi with our family of five (two energetic youngsters and a teenager) and it was our home base at both the start and finish of our Kenya trip. The hotel's classic colonial design, beautifully blended with authentic African decor, feels calm and comfortable. Our adjoining rooms were spotless and comfy, which is a big plus when you're traveling with a crew. Plus, the location was super convenient, offering easy access to the expressway and getting around Nairobi (get a chauffeur service). The kids loved the pool and gym, but the real highlight for them was the buffet with a great variety, from fresh fruit to a great mix of local and British fare. There are also lots of nooks indoors or by the pool to enjoy drinks and snacks.||But honestly, what truly made our stay were the people. We were so grateful for all the help from Alex, Priscah, Calvin Momanyi, Augustus, Jennifer, and Ann at the front desk—they were all fantastic. Irene Kilesi from Guest Relations was incredibly thoughtful and always checked in on us, which we really appreciated. And Robert Onyango at Concierge was a lifesaver with all our planning questions (and helping print boarding passes). Ambrose Ndambuki made mealtimes a breeze, and Carol from the bakery whipped up some seriously delicious treats. Finally, Angellah Machayo, Boniface Kyalo, and Makau at the bar created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. All in all, it was a genuinely pleasant and easy stay, perfectly suited for a traveling with family. We'll definitely return.|

I have stayed many times in the standard rooms at Nairobi Serena and the service has always been superb. This time however I stayed in one of the suites - absolutely fantastic in terms of setting, decor and ambience. I very much appreciated the set up of my working desk and the Espresso machine! The room and bathroom were well lit and spacious. The complementary bottle of wine was a lovely touch - and the vintage quite enjoyable. All in all it was a relaxing & productive environment in all ways. Great setup for work and indulgence!

We spent one night at this hotel. The location close to the airport is excellent, and from the start you can feel the luxury of the place. We tried room service with club sandwiches, but unfortunately they were disappointing, especially considering the high price. Breakfast, on the other hand, fully met our expectations. We really appreciated the late check-out, which was very convenient for our return flight, as well as the concierge’s helpful directions to find the Maasai market.

We began and ended our safari at the Serena. The common spaces were inviting and immaculate. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with excellent HVAC and showers. The pool area was very nice. We had a few meals on site. The buffets were very good, as was the restaurant. A charming and comfortable hotel.

Second time at this hotel and I wouldn't (given a choice) stay anywhere else in Nairobi. All the staff (and there are many, I was told 3000) are extremely friendly but polite, large rooms, very comfy bed, great pool (warm and clean), spa and good gym. Everything extremely clean The food is on the pricier side, but very good (I stuck to their curries which were excellent, can't vouch for the rest though the breakfast buffet is extremely expansive). The decor is very tasteful and some interesting, and beautiful, old artefacts in the lobby. Highly recommend

I was the logistics lead for a global encounter camp in Nairobi and we planned to lock Serena Nairobi for accomodation of 100 participants and staffs members from around the world for 20 days. |It was such a wise and thoughtful decision and we never for a moment regretted it. |Serena Nairobi treated each and every participant with so much respect and dignity. They also allowed us to use their ball rooms for our sessions. The food was spot on with timely snacks. The chef was so so considerate with all our requests , be it allergies or choices. ||The whole staff of Nairobi Serena is our friend now. We had tears leaving the place. ||We hope to see them again with another batch of people from around the world. ||Special thanks to Elizebeth, Loice and the chef, who literally answered all our calls and entertained us so well and listened patiently. ||Thank you so much to all the Serena team. |Bravo 👏 |July 2025.

Nairobi Serena Hotel is truly one of those gems in the city that never disappoints. Whether you're looking to enjoy a quiet romantic evening, a classy hangout with friends, or a wholesome family outing, Serena delivers every time. The ambiance is elegant and serene, with lush gardens, beautiful interiors, and a warm, welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home. One of the highlights is the live music—smooth, soulful, and perfectly curated to elevate your evening without overpowering your conversations. The food and drinks are top-notch, and there’s something for every palate. Whether you're just stopping by for a glass of wine or planning a full dinner, the quality remains consistent. It’s the kind of place where memories are made—perfect for special occasions or just a spontaneous night out. Highly recommend it!
