Nairobi Tented Camp

Lovely experience! Right in the heart of the park. Even as it rained, the atmosphere was magical and we could hear so many cool birds and creatures. The food was excellent and staff was so kind and gave us a first class hospitality experience. The hot water bottles in bed at night were the kind of attention to detail that blew me away. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

An incredible place to stay. The food and service are amazing, and the cabins are absolutely charming and comfortable. You can wake up in the morning to a pot of coffee delivered to your tent and watch monkeys in the trees above and butterflies all around you. It feels like a dream. We took a half day safari and saw hippos, giraffes, rhino, and many other wildlife, you can’t believe you’re a few miles from the city centre. I think this is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed.

The staff are very friendly, good food. A very good place to unwind away from hustles and bustles of Nairobi. The tents are also classic fully equipped with all the amenities you need. George was also a very good waiter. Loved everything about this place. You actually feel like you are in The Mara. Great work!

What a fabulous surprise this was. An oasis on the edge of Nairobi. We stayed two nights, and were looked after so so well. The food was delicious and our lunch table was laid in a couple of different places under trees. Such a peaceful location. Daniel took us on drives and we saw an amazing number of animals. Many thanks to Poul and all his team.

A Porini group hotel with 9 tents around a central dining room and lounge tent. Lovely situation in a forest in Nairobi National Park. Food is good. Food allergies are catered for. Accommodation is very spacious, comfortable, clean and private. Staff are all friendly. They offer game drives in the park but we didn't use that facility as we had our own vehicle.

What an incredible place. Luxurious tents right inside the National Park where you sleep to the sounds of animals around you (you’re escorted back to your tents every night by Masai for safety), amazing food and super helpful kind and friendly staff. A special mention to camp manager Maurice for whom nothing was too much trouble and for our game driver Gordon and his ‘spotter’ Ben, who got us in front of some amazing wildlife while we were with them. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a safari experience near Nairobi.

Stayed one night before leaving Kenya. Was friendly people who did the little extra to make our stay the best. Went on two game drives through the hotel which was the best par. The driver var 5/5!! Also the food was really good and worth the prise even if it felt expensive from the beginning.

This is a wonderful place to start your stay in Kenya. It is in the National Park within the city but you feel a world away. It was a most comfortable stay, true glamping experience. The staff is extremely attentive. Our first stop was the main meeting area with a lounge and the dining room adjacent. The restroom had a glorious amount of fresh roses. When we got to our tent, the bed also had rose petals on it. Such a nice touch. How often do you have an ensuite inside a tent? The quaint finding was that you have to plan ahead for a shower as they have to tote the hot water up the hill to your tent. We enjoyed all the food we ate while there as well. Did an afternoon drive and a morning drive. Just fantastic. I plan to start every trip to Kenya at the Nairobi Tented Camp.
