Incredibly thoughtful and beautiful place that has a various arrays of brushes and day to day utensils. The lady that was working there was very lovely and respectful and I would highly recommend this shop for well-made items.

Beautifully made brushes for artists, woodblock printmakers, home use etc. Prices are reasonable/similar to other shops around the city. I was served by a gentle grandma who was always smiling

A beautiful, long-established shop (run in the family tradition for more than 200 years) where you can buy very good hand-made brushes and brooms. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and gave us very good advice. I will come back and buy something again when I am in Kyoto.

We came by this beautiful store by pure coincidence on our Kyoto holiday and bought a small brush for 2600 yen. The quality of the craftsmanship is exquisite. The product seems very well made and the owner is very kind and explained to us how to use the brush.

A great place to buy natural fiber brushes and brooms. The scrubbing brushes are inexpensive and make a nice modest gift. Historic business as is the rice cracker shop next door.
