Buyer beware! I We found earrings and a necklace that we loved at Nakai. I decided to wear the jewelry. Unfortunately, the post fell off the earring as I put it on. The salesperson said, "This happens sometimes, but we can fix it." I paused for a minute or two getting up my courage to say that I wasn't comfortable buying expensive brand new jewelry that was already falling apart. When I told the salesperson that I wasn't comfortable with buying the set. She replied, "Oh, but we don't do refunds." I was a bit startled. After waiting about thirty minutes, the owner arrived. He also refused to give us a refund. In contradiction to the salesperson, he said this never has happened before. He alternated between saying it never happens, accusing me of breaking the earring, and and saying "stuff happens." He said that he had "resolved it" by repairing the earring or offering me a different necklace (not my taste). I left the store without the items. As I left the owner was saying that he was going to reverse the charges, but I would charge me 5% for the purchase and 5% for return. This awful experience left us with no desire to shop anywhere else.
