One of experiences no.one should miss at Japan is to visit tea store, taste different teas and maby buy favorite one. Perfect place for that is this little tea shop. The girl working there was very helpful, spoke not perfect English, but she was very nice, polite and answered to all questions. There You can smell all their teas, and taste a small samples upon request. We tasted 4 different. The girl was even nice enough to demonstrate how to make the tea. All their tea seemed to be grown by the same family that runs the store (since 1919 apparently), and the locations where all the teas were from are posted. The teas vary in price, from around 800 to 3000 yen, so there’s things available in every price range, as well as kits with teapots and cups, and variety packs. Tey have old style cans. Whole atmosphere was wonderfull with beautiful interior. We spent there around one hour and saw that local people from neighborhood buy the tea there. Finally we bought Hogigha tea, string one.
