Google
Super cool place to go in Fitzroy! We were recommended to go here 2x…one by copilot and 2nd by the random lady we met at put put golf. Reservations highly recommended because this place gets very busy. We sat on the 4th floor indoors but there are also seats outside. Food was really tasty. We had a lot of food and everything was good. If you are a light eater it’s good but I wouldn’t recommend for a hungry family (it gets expensive). We would have enjoyed just going for drinks but dinner was good too. Service was a bit slow, I think due to the busy day but not so bad that I wouldn’t go back.

Google
The place certainly has a catchy name, and the décor, especially around the bathroom area, is very unusual and eye-catching. It is clearly a place people favour for drinks rather than food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which I really appreciated. The food itself was decent and the coffee was good. Despite the fact that the venue is far from what I would classify as a truly clean place, the ambience is still welcoming, and a lot of visitors make good use of the lovely balcony with its views. Overall, worth a visit if you are after cocktails, atmosphere, and a casual bite, rather than a spotless venue or a serious dining experience.

Google
We visited around noon for lunch. It wasn’t busy, and we took the elevator up to the rooftop, quite an interesting place with a nice view. I’m sure it looks amazing at night. As for the food, to be honest, I wasn’t very satisfied. It cost about 90 bucks — the chips were too oily, the chicken was fine, but the shrimp didn’t meet my expectations or past experiences.

Nina M.

Google
We have been here for lunch with friends on Wednesday. It wasn't busy that day. Great atmosphere, must be fantastic during night. Our friends have suggested it and they did make booking. Place is lovely, service is good but unfortunately food did not satisfy us. It was very avarage. But, I suppose people don't come just for food then for views and atmosphere.

Gee G.

Google
You come here for the dusk views and not necessarily for the food. Got a carafe of naked mule for $58 and it was ok but didn’t taste very strong. Ordered a serve of the croquettes at $16 which were tasty but the service was average. Had to go searching for plates and serviettes and by the time they brought them to the table, the croquettes were almost cold. It’s somewhere you bring visitors to Melbourne. I prefer Panama.

Google
Really vibey rooftop spot in Fitzroy. Amazing decorations, the furniture, wallpapers and stripped down factory interiors are really cool. Delicious drinks, but the food was okay, could be bigger servings for its price.

Google
This place has changed quite a bit and I believe it used to deserve 5 stars, but not any more. A lot of the old menu items had been removed and the list was very small now. There are no longer meatballs or squid on the menu and only one beef and one chicken dish which were skewers. The chicken for mains was not available. Service was very difficult to get but the food came out quite fast and was delicious, although it was all very much over priced. I used to count down the days til I came back here, but now I wouldn't dare suggest it.

ANSHULA V.

Google
Best place to go out with friends, amazing view and vibe. Food was amazing **"The food came out really fast, which was great! Just a heads-up — you have to go up and place your order yourself, as there's no table service for ordering."

Yelp
Cool place on good area. Top floor rooftop really good.drinks all with satan theme and good.

Yelp
I found this place on Yelp while searching for places in the area. I had messaged them a question on Instagram, and got a prompt reply! Talk about customer service without even being in the restaurant. On Mondays they have a special. $3 pizza with the purchase of any drink. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Being from NY, I am a pizza snob...and proud. I ordered the pork and fennel sausage pizza. It was very good! It had sausage, red onion and peppers. I would suggest that they cook it a little bit longer to get that "well done" taste. About 2-3 minutes more! There's an upstairs part of the restaurant also with a great view! The menu is a little different with a tapas style menu. I went upstairs after my meal and it was a great view! I came here for dinner around 430PM. It was very crowded when I left. Definitely the place to be!

Yelp
- funky decor - funky music - they have wifi - outdoor rooftop is nice and heated in the cooler weather - good drinks - spacious - friendly bartenders

Yelp
This place is downright bonkers. If you're looking for a very cool rooftop bar with awesome music, good vibes awesome service, great drink menu and great nibbles then this is the place for you. We opted to get a couple beers and a Coke. We thought we would only stay for drinks, but then saw everybody ordering food around us and it looked delicious so we opted to get two oysters, the leek croquettes and marinated olives. Everything was delicious. The leek croquettes, especially were outstanding. Service was so friendly and helpful since it was our first time. After we left, my adult kids went back for a second time because they had such a good time. Great views of the city. Heaters to keep you warm. Definitely would come back and recommend everybody.

Yelp
With a name like Naked for Satan, how can you go wrong? Well, I guess heading in for dinner the night before the whole city had off for the footy finals I guess. Because NFS was packed! We had no chance at all of sitting outside and taking in the views, and they were completely booked with reservations - our bad, we didn't know. We did luck out with a bar table fortunately! If you're not in the dining area, just place orders with the bar and they'll bring it to you. We had meatballs and chicken bites and both were tasty and reasonably priced. For drinks, they have a great cocktail list along with a really good wine list. Upstairs seems to much louder, livlier and chaotic where the downstairs bar is more low key. Either way, expect cheeky "naked" decor, friendly staff and reasonable prices. No question why they're clearly a local favorite.
google avatar

Susanna O.

Yelp
This place is everything. Downstairs is this rad looking joint with appetizers you can grab for almost no $$, bring your toothpicks up and thats how they charge you. Drinks are delishhhh. Go upstairs, and its a beautiful, vintage-esque looking joint. The service is great. Everyone is gorgeous, friendly, and sends out great vibes to make your visit better. "Satan in the sky" the outdoor rooftop bar, they walked around passing out watermelon. My drink from their cocktail menu was SO GOOD. Can I stay with Satan forever?!!? This is probably one of the "cool" places to go, and I can see why. It's great on the eyes, and tastes good in your mouth! Went during the day, so it wasn't too congested, definitely will be back again for a nighttime shindig!

Yelp
I had so much fun here! I was walking around the area, a little sad that it was rainy on my vacation, and we decided to take a gander in. This bar/restaurant combo has a few floors. The first floor has its own vibe, and I think it is technically a different business but they run jointly. They have a separate menu and you aren't able to take the food upstairs. The first floor - where we didn't order anything since we wanted to sit on the roof despite the rain - had some great bang for your buck deals, so I was sad I didn't get to try! But upstairs had an equally enticing menu with lots of interesting but not too wild tapas and decently priced drinks. There are a loooot of seats out on the rooftop deck. The view isn't much to boast about, but the vibe is really what you're looking for! It's chill, laid back, and low stress. I think they serve at different times in the day, but when I went everything was self serve.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I haven't visited a lot of rooftop bars in Melbourne but I honestly doubt I could find a better one than this. There are multiple levels and plenty of comfortable seating that are suitable for even solo travelers. Food and drink are acceptable, but the vibe is lovely. I don't like to be in the crowds so I came for a sunset view and caught the best sunset photos of the CBD. It was already packed on the rooftop but still enjoyable. The bathroom decoration is hilarious but also creepy.
google avatar

Jo L.

Yelp
Amazing views of Melbourne, tasty pintxos and wonderful service. The rooftop terrace is where it's at on a sunny day, although you have to order at the bar. We got the charcuterie plate, mushrooms, fried zucchini flowers, calamari, and meatballs between three people, and it was all delicious and freshly cooked when it arrived at our table. I would have liked more bread with the meal, since two bits of bread really won't go far when there is a whole bowl of delicious meatball sauce that needs sopping up. The portions are considerably bigger than what you probably would get for yourself downstairs at the buffet style pintxos, so you do end up spending a bit more. I think it is worth it though, since the trade off is a great view all the way out to Mount Macedon. Drinks are great too: the vodka infusions are definitely a must try. You can get a sampler of three, or an icebox which has six. The flavor options are pretty extensive. The house wheat beer/ale was also quite good (1 pint for $11.50), and there are a couple of cocktail options around the $20 mark. Parking is horrible in the area, although it's possible to find something in a side street, so snag the first park you can in a 4 block radius and walk.
google avatar

Ash R.

Yelp
Amazing view upstairs. You just can't go past it. Service however can be average. You can have a special night here. Drinks are great. Not sure about dinner.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
The view is definitely the winner here. Go for a drink up up high and gulp up all of Melbourne. I ordered a small bite from their menu (a meat kabob) and it wasn't anything special, in fact it was a little too pink for me, so I barely touched it, however the beer was quite refreshing and paired perfectly with the landscape.

Yelp
This is my favorite spot in Melbourne and perhaps the entire southern hemisphere! Why, you ask? Well, the look on my wife's face when I first said "We have to go to Naked for Satan!" was absolutely priceless. I didn't even know what or where the place was. I just thought, with a name like that it has to be different! Let's take a chance! You only live once! And, different it was! Plus, with innumerable flavors of vodka, I was a happy camper. Now, many years later, we managed to come back to wonderful Melbourne and the first place we went, after popping by the hotel, was here! Instead of just us and two other patrons, the place was packed! It's not our secret any more! Plus, there is an incredible roof top bar and restaurant that really surprised us! We can't wait to return. Don't miss it!

Yelp
Finding out a bit too late that Fitzroy is the district to do some thrift shopping, I only arrived at night with a couple of friends on a night out in Melbourne. Naked for Satan - a risque name - with even more risque wallpaper lining its walls, is a Spanish tapas bar known for its vodka. Go to their website to read about the story of how the name of this place came to be! It's actually quite entertaining. As is their wallpaper. The place was quite crowded at 8pm, with a small line waiting to enter the bar. Even with spacious floorspace and seats, lots of people crowded the bar - with a 20 minute wait to go up to their rooftop bar, Naked in the Sky. I ordered a mixed drink called "_____ Lovejuice" (if someone can fill me in) and had a couple of their 'buffet-style' bruschettas ($2 each), along with the croquettes being served by the waitresses. I liked the muscle with hummus one! They also taste better than they look! Another note is that Naked for Satan runs on a novel - and well, trusting system. You eat your fill, then you pay according to however many toothpicks you accumulate! Hah. I like it, although I can see lots of tipsy customers knocking over their toothpick cups... The mixed drink was good, but not very alcoholic, and a bit too sweet for me (which usually isn't the case). Their names are entertaining though! I really wanted hop nearby to The Everleigh, but we had to make our way to the city to meet another friend at Madame Brussels...
google avatar

Neha M.

Yelp
$1 Pintxos for HH (which is most of weekdays) drinks. It doesn't get better than that. We had both hot and cold pintxos - ham with apple chutney, beef empanada, deviled eggs, Spanish omelette with cauliflower cheese etc. I can't even remember them all but I know that they were all delicious. I had the pomegranate infused vodka drinks. They also have a good selection of wines, cocktails, beers. The vibe is amazing and the décor is eclectic. The rooftop offers sweeping views of the city and had heaters for those cold Melbourne evenings.
google avatar

Emilie C.

Yelp
OK, the view would deserve 5 stars, and is enough to make me come back! The tapas downstairs are pretty amazing, and I'm really appreciative of the vegetarian options. What bothers me a bit is the price of everything out there when it's not happy hour! I had a baked camembert, which was good, but came with only a little bit of bread, and cost me 16$ (and left me still hungry). A jug of sangria (filling just 4 regular glasses) was 38$... Maybe I'm not used to Fitzroy prices, but it hurt!
google avatar

Jamila N.

Yelp
Live this place as far as a rooftop in Melbourne goes. Looks out to the city and then out over Fitzroy. Weekdays they have a good happy hour from 6-8pm. Perfect for a sunny afternoon! Not the friendliest of service compared to other Fitzroy and Brunswick spots, but then it does have an ultra "hipster/trendy" vibe. Everyone in overalls, sneakers or funky jackets LOL
google avatar

Mandi A.

Yelp
Love love love their lunchtime rooftop specials. This is THE spot to bring your out of town visitors. It's got the view, it's got the weird Melbourne vibe (pics of naked ppl on the wall to get you salivating for more) and the food is all delish. The cheap pinchos downstairs are also good fun. Just watch out for the creepy AF bathroom - spooky!
google avatar

Luke B.

Yelp
A couple of refreshing things make Naked for Satan stand out from the crowd. A very impressive assortment of vodka cocktails and the choose your own adventure pintxos. II have found the cocktails to be so good, that I have pretty much worked my way through the entire list. So what are pintxos then? Pintxos include thinly sliced pieces of french stick accompanied by a variety of "gourmet" toppings. Salami, egg plant, salmon and dill and so on. Grab a plate and self serve from the counter. Warm varieties are also offered by the friendly staff, table service style. Although not the best for the carb conscious, they certainly do soak up the vodka. PS - The bathrooms are great here too.
google avatar

Donna D.

Yelp
Parking in this area can be a nightmare, but that is besides the point. After seeing so many highlights on Naked, it seemed like somewhere you have to see. Oh my, this place is crowded. Seats everywhere are filled, and the wait for the elevator to get upstairs creates a line for about 20-ish minutes or so. I'd say, get there early for an outside rooftop table. That way you can sit, relax and enjoy the view from up there. As if it hasn't been said before, a huge highlight here are the pintxos. And the homemade infused vodka, it's not too shabby. I don't think you can come here and not get something vodka.

Ngan Q.

Yelp
Continuing our food adventure in Melbourne, this place was perfect for a catch up with old friends over drinks and nibbles on a rooftop setting. Naked in the Sky is its official name for their rooftop bar and lounge. Packed to the max on a sunny Saturday, we were fortunate enough to get a seat for our ever growing party. Vodka and cocktails dominated the drinks menu on the roof. An exposed brick wall added character to the space. The only suggestion I would make is to have an area set aside for the non-smokers. Everyone enjoys being on the roof, but not everyone enjoys the secondhand smoke from other patrons. The entire interior space from the ground floor to the top boasts old vodka distilling equipment and funky art pieces which adds to the appeal in a quirky way. Specialising in Pinxtos (spanish tapas) and vodka is what this venue is known for. Really odd pairing if I say so myself, but it works. Tapas are $2.00 each and payment comes after when you surrender your toothpicks. The quality of the tapas exceeds the price you pay. Needless to say we tried all the tapas. Definitely a good venue for a fun catchup and a quick bite. This place appeals to a very broad demographic which is evident by its patrons. Will stop by again when I'm next in town.

Yelp
I've been to NFS twice now and both timesI've arrived way too close to closing time so haven't really been able to enjoy the place. But my drunken self would probably say 'hell yeah' to this joint. Rooftop bar. I mean, that's all you really need to know, right? There's a rooftop bar and rooftop bars are awesome. On a chilly Melbourne night - maybe not so much. But yeah this place is pretty good. I really need to come back at an early time and do a proper review of this place because by the looks of the other reviews it's pretty damn awesome. I'd say the only real downfall (could potentially be taken literally) would be that you have to go down stairs if you need the bathroom which is never a really great thing when alcohol is involved. But other than that it gets my drunken thumbs up.
google avatar

Yelp
When i first moved to Melbourne 'Naked For Satan' was one of the first places i ate out. The reason? The fact that it had 50 cent tapas! How could someone resist that? My housemate and I walked in and loved the interior. The tapas are out of this world and a big plus for them from me is because most of their items are vegetarian. The unique interior provides a great places for functions and events, every time i come here i make sure i sit upstairs in a small elevated section of venue. It's the perfect spot as the couch is comfortable and provides an intimate space for you and your friends. Naked for Satan even brew their own cider called 'Naked Cider', the cider is thirst quenching, a tad airy so be prepared to be burping the night away. Ps. The price of the tapas have gone up to 80 cents each but god damn, they are still worth it!
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
I really shouldn't like this place, it is overcrowded with early 20s hipsters and some even younger wanna be hipsters. The decor trys too hard, way too hard. Nevertheless, Naked in the Sky works for me. It has stellar views...being on top one of the tallest buildings in Fitzroy gives you panoramic views of the city and beyond. The extensive outdoor terrace allows you to drink and snack in the under the stars or summer sun. Naked in Sky has a great cocktail menu, and the bartenders know what they are doing. Try the unusual Bees Knees or go with a more traditional Paloma and you won't be disappointed. I thought the food would be sub-par given the crowd and the premium views, but the food surprised! The new to the menu duck confit, was perfectly cooked and the tender meat just fell off the bone. My dining companion raved about his braised wagyu intercostal....slow cooked and simply delicious. The desserts were a bit hit or miss. The whipped green apple sorbet was a refreshing delight while the olive oil cake with goats curd ice cream was a bit flat...huge portion but not as tasty. All in this was a great find and glad we stumbled upon it! One of the best rooftop dinning experiences in Fitzroy.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Pretty popular bar in Fitzroy that is worth a stop for. Drinks are affordable and I really liked the ambiance. There was a bit of a vintage/hipster feel which I really like. There's also an outdoor area where you can get a view of the streets below. This is by no means a true "rooftop" bar, since you're not that high up, but still a great place to chill.
google avatar

Elise W.

Yelp
"Naked in the sky" is the grown-up posher upstairs version of "Naked for satan". We've been coming to both regularly since opened. The booze menu is pretty much the same for both - but the food isn't, it's much better upstairs (but not cheap). Whilst the pintxos downstairs have deteriorated year by year (I won't eat them anymore) this kitchen makes fresh tasting good food. About the view... Going down Brunswick Street, the building doesn't look that high high and that makes it more of the surprise when you see it. It has Unhindered views for a long distance in all directions except west. I adore the "Naked Ale" or a glass of the Tempranillo, he likes the IGA or one of the vodka infusions. It gets very very busy (expect to queue and remain standing) on any warm weekend/ public holiday but it's worth it. I adore this place and will keep coming back.
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
Really surprised not to find this on Yelp. Very hip spot with bar restaurant and excellent rooftop bar - very popular spot. Eclectic furnishings, pintos and tapas makes for a great combination. Food is most excellent and comes very quickly. Highly recommend baked cheese and beef and padron skewers, but it was all good frankly. Staff were a bit surly - we had to ask twice to get or table wiped down satisfactorily otherwise might have scored 5 stars. Recommended!!
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
I have only been here on a warm sunny day where we sat on the roof enjoying the sun. You can eat and drink here. The view is beautiful! Its a nice hip place to hang out with a group. Not quite a "date" venue tho. The food has been more sharing plates which suits us.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
With a name like Naked for Satan you would be forgiven in thinking that this is some sort of strip club - it's not, but if nudity does offend I probably wouldn't recommend coming here (and no, it's not a topless bar either). Anyway, the rather interesting pictures that are plastered on the wall aside, this is one really cool bar. Actually, it is two bars, a ground floor which is 'Naked for Satan' and the rooftop bar which is called 'Naked on the Terrace' (though the only nudity I could see were the pictures of the wall of the stairwell). I've been here a couple of times if only for one thing - the view from the roof is nothing short of awesome. In fact you will find that most people end up making their way to the roof rather than remaining on the ground floor, though the elevator that takes you up there is really, really slow. Oh, it's also a vodka bar, meaning that there is like four pages of vodka on the menu. However, one thing that it is not is a restaurant, so if you want a decent feed you probably need to go somewhere else (they do serve food, but it is really small portions).
google avatar

Benji W.

Yelp
Wow. I absolutely love this place so much. I was taken here for a friend who we were staying with while in Melbourne and from the minute we walked in I could tell this was my sort of bar. It's a very trendy Spanish style tapas pixtos bar that has an awesome rooftop where you can sit and overlook the city, the staff are attentive and helpful and the food is ridiculous I can't wait until I get back to Melbourne and show this place off to my mates I Travel with
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
I'd heard rumours about the weekday $1 pintxos specials at Naked for Satan, but thought 'how good could it be'? I was a fool! The bar combines so many of my loves - sample sizes, things that cost $1, and vodka. For serve yourself $1 bar food the tapas were good quality. The snacks featured things like goat cheese & pistachio, duck & relish, and anchovies & olives. There are some vegetarian options available, but wouldn't recommend it for anyone on a gluten free diet as almost everything is served on bread slices. Naked for Satan also has trays of three 15ml vodka shots from their list of infused vodkas. (More sampling!) The surprise winner of the night was the salted caramel vodka. It's not just for gelato anymore!
google avatar

Linda I.

Yelp
I'll ignore the fact that my fingers smell of salmon from the pintxo I just finished because luckily, you wouldn't have even known. This is my second time in Melbourne and also my second time at Naked for Satan. It's just as good as I remember it with its copper-interior and music jamming in the background as I sip on my Tinto de Verano and nibble on the multiple pintxos I've selected from the bar. NFS, I'll always find the time for you.
google avatar

Allan B.

Yelp
1. 80cent tapas - multiple different types, all on bread, SO easy to fill up on them. Why would you have entrees anywhere else?! 2. Amazing Bloody Mary! 3. Home-made vodka flavours! Try the chocolate sugar. 4. The 'wallpaper' heading down to the bathrooms is beyond amusing; it's like pages out of nudie magazines from the 1950s, or as nude as they thought was appropriate back then. 5. The menus are made of the same magazines!
google avatar

Yelp
By far my favourite hangout in Melbourne!!! Awesome food, spectacular views, happening atmosphere & great staff blamed on even better owners:)!!!

Yelp
Naked for Satan is a great spot to grab a very cheap lunch during the week. It has to be rivaling Bimbo's for the cheapest lunch on Brunswick Street. You can get a range of different pintxos - originating from the Basque country they are delicious snacks served on French bread held together with a toothpick - at 80c a pop. My personal favourites include the pan tortilla served with aioli, the salmon and dill, and the almond crusted mushroom. It usually takes me about 8 or so pintxos to be full and if you have a drink, then you are looking at a cheap tasty lunch between $12 and $15. It's self-service for the cold pintxos but hot pintxos will be brought around as you dine. The design of Naked for Satan is a lot of fun from the eye catching brass pipes in the window to the unusual red leather couches to the semi-naked pictures of big tittied ladies and bronzed adonises everywhere you look. See if you can spot Sean Connery, James Dean, Elvis and Arnie at different stages of nakedness on the walls. Naked for Satan markets itself as primarily a bar and it has its own ales, infused vodkas, and a massive drinks list. I must admit I haven't really been here as a nightspot as the pintxos go up to $2 each (Thurs, Fri and Sat evenings). Once you've tasted 80c pintxos, $2 pintxos are hard to stomach for your wallet. The place has a great vibe so it could be a cool nightspot too...

Yelp
Great view of the city. Was initially underwhelmed by the cocktail and first plate. However, the clams came out and they were AMAZING. If you go there, do not leave without trying the clams. Later found out their entire menu is $9 during the lunch happy hour, which is an absolute steal for some of their dishes. Would definitely go back for a happy hour sometime and order a few plates to share.

Yelp
Love this place! We came quite late, around 9pm, and on a Monday night might I add. On a low turnover night like this, I expected the self-serve pinxtos to be less than fresh. Rounds of bread pinned with Mediterranean toppings rest on the bar, open to the stale-inducing elements. I was apprehensive. To my surprise they were totally delicious and unassumingly fresh! Salty, lemon-tinged octopus and garlicy chickpea spread, skewered on perfectly moist baguette. Yum! The bathrooms are some of the best i've seen inside a bar too. Clean, modern, interesting, spacious and some pretty high-tech hand-dryers. A pleasant preening experience between drinks. I wanna go back nowwww.

Yelp
Was checking out the shops at Brunswick st and stumbled across Naked for Satan. It looked a pretty interesting place, had a special lunch deal on the help yourself tapas bar. It was really enjoyable to be able to choose between all different little tapas dishes. I tried all! Some more than once and it was so cheap and delicious! The Naked for Satan Ale on tap was smooth and cold. Perfect! Next time in Melbourne will definitely go back.

Yelp
Get Naked for Satan! This cool rooftop bar specializes in vodka infusions. They soak their vodka on fruit, spices, herbs, or whatever else they can think of for weeks at a time. The vodka comes out colored and flavored like ginger, raspberries, or other stuff you normally don't see in vodka. They have a full bar, and a lengthy choice of vodka drinks. I opted for the chili pepper infused vodka with some cucumber, which was a nice juxtaposition of heat and coolness. There certainly could have been a lot more vodka in there, it seemed like it was mostly ice. But it was poured quickly, and not too expensive. The bartenders were happy to explain the vodka maceration process and made good recommendations. The decor is hip and vibrant with lots of interesting artwork to check out. I was surprised that the art wasn't all nudist satanic stuff. The bar is on two levels, the downstairs area where you can scope out the original pot still used to make vodka, and they serve appys. Then, you take an elevator up to where the action is on the rooftop, where you can get incredible views of the downtown Melbourne skyline. This was the best view of any bar I went to in Melbourne. They offer plenty of seating, covered areas permitting seating outdoors even if it's raining. The name comes from the original distiller's distrust of his employees. He made his employees work naked so that they wouldn't steal his vodka creations. The guy's last name is something like "Satanovich" which got shortened to "Satan"

Yelp
The view and atmosphere here are the clear winners, as the drinks were incredibly underwhelming. I will say that the view looking both into the city and around to the surrounding neighborhoods was spectacular. We did not try the food, so cannot comment on that. Naked for Satan came highly recommended and seems to have a quite good reputation, which maybe elevated our expectations. However, we tried multiple rounds of cocktails and found them all to be highly underwhelming. Cocktails were mostly ice, we finished them in a few sips. Tasted ok but nothing stood out and for the price it felt like we barely got any drink. Beer was the best thing we ordered here.

Yelp
Very interesting place. I am from New York and all my Melburnian friends told me that this was a place to stop. Loved the atmosphere. The staff was super accommodating and really warm. It is a heaven of hell.

Yelp
Went here for the $9 lunch special, $9 for any item which sounds like a great deal. Problem was, the food was very average. The scallops were way too salty, the toomba icecram dessert was plain bland, tasted like baked milk, and the octopus had so much salt it in, it was ruined. It seems their business model seems to be to get you in with the cheap food, get you thirsty and sell drinks. If we hadn't gone during happy hour lunch with those low food prices, my score would be a lot lower.

Yelp
I came here when it first opened and I haven't been back since. It just didn't do it for me. I was attracted by the novelty of the decor - the large copper vodka distilling monster. It was pretty cool to see it, but other than that, there's nothing special about the way this bar looks. Also the pintxos is ok. It's just a whole lot of bread with a bit of topping. As far as the snacking-whilst-drinking style of a night out goes, I'm more fond of izakaya dens. And the atmosphere was a bit drab and dull. There are so many great bars in Fitzroy with good vibes and nicely made drinks and that feel more comfortable and pleasant to spend a few hours in. For me, Naked for Satan just doesn't compete.

Yelp
Spectacular tapas plates on the roof after a drink and wide selection of bocadillos on the main floor, what a great set-up! The views are as good as the food & a glass of excellent Shiraz of course didn't hurt! Skip the baked Camembert and opt for one of the more creative offerings; my favorite was the lamb ribs. This is a must do for any visitor because the food is creative, affordable and quite good & the very cool Fitzroy neighborhood's interesting shops & architecture are very authentic and fun! A rare 5 stars for me.

Yelp
Naked for Satan is very Melbourne. It has an interesting decor downstairs, a whole lot of craft beers, wallpapers of topless people in an old style vintage fashion and a rooftop bar that gives a pretty decent view of the city. I have been here at least 6 times now and most of the time it's to sit on the rooftop, but sometimes it's for their little pintxos which early on Mon - thurs are only $1 each. These are not bad, a lot of the cold range are pretty bland and the bread they sit on steals away most of the flavour, but the hot ones are a bit better. I think they make these at around 6pm and bring around trays for you to grab. So you might want to sit a little closer to the kitchen to be the tables that get offered the fresh ones first. The house craft beers and ciders are pretty decent, last night I had a Naked in the Dark and it was actually pretty delicious, a bit chocolatey with a hint of coffee :) Prices start from around $9 a pot. The rooftop bar is nice and a very popular place, so if you're planning on getting a table, get there earlier as it gets busy and crowded fast, a lot of people stand around and can't wait to pounce on tables. It can also get a bit cool up there but it's not as noticeable if you are near their heaters. It's also a great place if you don't mind getting your chair constantly knocked by people walking by or people leaning over your table to get a picture of the city ;) Not a bad first date place if they have never been before, otherwise there are other places you could go.

Yelp
Firstly this bar has great naked photos on everything. Secondly the snacks here are 1 buck each, extremely tasty and you pay after. From baby squid to chocolate truffles. Super good idea and 6 bucks will get you a meal. Their red wine and coke is fantastic, great for a dirty lunch spot and I can imagine a swell place to hang with the friends and meet some sheilas.

Yelp
We wanted to visit the Brunswick St. area to take in some live music and asked the hotel cocierge if there was a local spot for dinner. She was enthusiastic about Naked for Satan so we entered the bar and went straight to the second floor. Grace came to greet us and while the restaurant was full, suggested that we enjoy the rooftop bar until a table became available. Everything worked out perfectly. Dinner was Bay Scallops, Spring Salad, Mushroom Pate and Beef Tartar served tapas style. Our server Kat was terrific and spent time chatting with us as well as providing top notch service. Cool, laid-back vibe and not as edgey as the name would imply.

Yelp
It's good here but it could be better. I haven't been here for a couple of years. The fitout is aging and feeling a bit dated to me. Not gone but getting close. It'd be a shame to fall fatally behind the rest of the scene. Hard to fault the food I reckon. Prawns, scallops, steak, olives, zucchini flowers, cheese platter - they were all good. Wines were good too. Nice dishes. Nice choice available. The cost was fine too. No complaints there. The main issue tonight was the service. The best I'd call it tonight would be remote, distant and occasionally bordering on contemptuous and dismissive. It didn't ruin our night because it became a talking point and something that unified our little group. But, it's something that needs to be looked at if customer service has any importance here. It's a 3.5 for me.

Yelp
Naked for Satan has stolen my heart in Melbourne. Reminiscent of rooftop bars in New York City, Naked for Satan has a delightful view of Melbourne, craft beers, strong cocktails, and what not. Granted, a cocktail here will run you about $20AUD, but what kind of place in Australia does not? FOOD: A variety of pinxtos are available here for $2AUD a pop. You keep the toothpicks and then pay when you are done eating them! With such variety and I presume rotating, you can never really get old of eating delicious Northern Spanish style tapas. Definitely visit the rooftop and admire the great view of Melbourne night or day. This is a great place to start (or even end) your evening in Fitzroy area of Melbourne!
