Naksan Beach Hotel is a fitting representative of the town it's in: generally dull, lacking charm, and with few offerings for guests.||Our room was fine with a nice view of some pine trees and the water, and the hotel has a staircase that leads almost directly to the lovely Naksan Beach. But beyond that, there's not much to cheer about. All communication is in Korean, so if there are facilities for foreign guests, we missed them.||The same goes for the town. It's clearly intended for domestic tourism. Since Koreans neither sunbathe nor swim, and since they don't seem bothered by drab concrete buildings, there's really nothing here for a discerning Western traveler.||Just in time, we discovered why so many people stay at and frequent this hotel. Only 5 minutes away lies one of South Korea's most beautiful and famous sanctuaries, Naksansa Temple. This wonderful and still very active temple truly justifies choosing this hotel.
