Naksan Beach Hotel is a fitting representative of the town it's in: generally dull, lacking charm, and with few offerings for guests.||Our room was fine with a nice view of some pine trees and the water, and the hotel has a staircase that leads almost directly to the lovely Naksan Beach. But beyond that, there's not much to cheer about. All communication is in Korean, so if there are facilities for foreign guests, we missed them.||The same goes for the town. It's clearly intended for domestic tourism. Since Koreans neither sunbathe nor swim, and since they don't seem bothered by drab concrete buildings, there's really nothing here for a discerning Western traveler.||Just in time, we discovered why so many people stay at and frequent this hotel. Only 5 minutes away lies one of South Korea's most beautiful and famous sanctuaries, Naksansa Temple. This wonderful and still very active temple truly justifies choosing this hotel.

Next to the temple attraction which was awesome||Nicely renovated and modern rooms at this hotel ||Kids club was really cool but didn't open until 2pm and closed at 8pmish approx - this is not cool!||Spa - additional cost and I didn't use||Roof top with amazing views has so much potential but was unused. No chairs, no bar no nothing.||Breakfast - loved the fresh sashimi, coffee was terrible, dont recall tea options, a few fresh fruits options, some pastries, couple of cereals, eggs on request or scrambled in self serve, lots of Korean condiments. Everything was topped up regularly and nice and clean but I honestly didn't love it. Not bad but not great either.||||Room - mountain view room was just the back of the hotel that looked onto a bunch of trees on a small hill above the driveway. A total let down if you are expecting a beautiful mountain view.||Towels smelt horrible like bleach. A couple had holes in them and shouldn't be used for guests in a place like this.||Pillows were very high. Beds comfy.||Drain grates really smelled (plumbing) so we kept bathroom door closed and put wet towels over them.||Housekeeping refused more than 2 bottles of water even though we booked a double room for 2 adults and kids||Our booking came with free breakfast for two adults. Kids under 5 and over 2 are 13$usd approx. price is higher for kids over 5yrs from memory. This is a strange set up. ||||Overall a nice hotel but I wouldn't stay here again. ||||Staff don't smile here. Thy could try to be a bit more friendly which is such a nice exchange when you enter a hotel / are travelling. It felt a bit cold and sterile. This is just my opinion based on 3/4 nights here and I travel a fair bit internationally.

We stayed as family of 4, booked 2 twin rooms. One day before received reconfirmation call and to check arrival time which was nice touch. |Staffs: not highly impressive but also not disappointing, just very average. They were kind and polite but not overly excited to go extra miles.|Room: very clean and overall hotel is very well maintained. Room was small but perfect for 2 and had everything needed in compactable size. We had mountain view which we already expected no view. We were out from morning and back in the evening so this didnt bother us at all. Mountain view is basically looking at loading bay but was very well kept clean n tidy. ||Sauna/spa: very clean and worth to try.|Location: right next to/walking distance to Naksan temple and close to city and beach. Excellent location.|||We will definately go back and hopefully will try sea view next time.

The Naksan Beach Hotel was much better than I had expected, I used to live in YangYang and I knew the hotel as being in a beautiful location, but run down. They've remodeled it somewhat recently and it's pretty nice. I would strongly recommend that you get at least a second floor ocean view room. We got a junior suite on the fourth and the view is excellent, I'm sure the 'mountain view' is fine, but you just see the trees on the hillside, not any mountains. The breakfast buffet has a mix of Korean and western style food options, nothing amazing but nice and filling, I had a good experience with all the staff workers here. The parking lot is a bit small for the amount of cars though, and there is a public lot just outside of the hotel that is filled with people going to the nearby temple. As such there can be a line of cars waiting on the small road to the hotel during the day, it wasn't a big issue for me,but I felt it should be noted for others.

Great location and very good hotel. Coffee and Latte were good at the front lobby. But the coffee shop attendant was in foul mood and he seemed to be rude. He was reading a book at one corner where no one can see him until you poke your head into.

Before booking i already read that this hotel have no privacy but i like the location so i still went ahead n try it , really loved this hotel , counter staff can't really speak English but they trying their best to help me, is indeed there is no privacy as u can see from the picture , once curtains is pulled , everything can be seen but i am ok with it , ondol room is quite spacious for a solo traveller , i can open one big luggage & 2 bags , Pro - u can see the beach once u stepped out of hotel There's a temple nearby ,within 5mins walk. Spacious & bed is comfortable. Con - floor dirty. Not much food stall nearby Overall i really loved this hotel will be back again

Pros: spacious and very comfortable, lots of facilities, large sofa and bathtub, fantastic view (we stayed at the junior suite with ocean view). It is literally next to Naksan Temple AND the beach. Room service was quite tasty tho not varied in menu, it was better than any other restaurant in the area if you don’t like seafood. Cons: Housekeeping needs improvement. Coffee packets were not replaced and the tables were not wiped down at all. Also while I was grateful there was a gym at all, it was clearly designed by someone who doesn’t know fitness—no squat rack OR smith machine, no cable machine of any sort, and tons of machines for legs shoulder and chest but absolutely nothing for back day (need to do with dumbbells and barbell+bench since no squat rack). But I guess if you’re not going for workouts it’s not a big deal lol. Overall I could recommend and am thinking of going again when it’s summer!
