Naledi Lodges

The location of the lodge on the Olifant River is fantastic. We stayed there for six days. Between the morning and evening game drives, you can watch the wildlife from the pool. The lodge is furnished with great attention to detail and taste and offers every luxury you can imagine. Excellent service combined with the warm hospitality of the lodge team. If you want to experience the unique sensations of the bush (light, smells, sounds, animals and plants) and leave everyday life behind, this is the place for you. The food is excellent, but don't step on the scales for the first few days after you get home. 😉

What an amazing experience! From minute 1 to the end we were spoiled with beautiful smiles, amazing food, great sights and also information in our safaris. We also went on a walk and loved the info shared! You can see and feel the passion of all in their work. Every single staff (owners included) treated us with great respect at all times and made sure our requests were met. Everyone is always in good spirits and shared great sense of humour. The welcome back after each safari is so nice! The facilities are clean and well divided. We stayed in 3 at Marula room and were blessed by birds calls in the mornings and also the cheeky monkeys in the arvos. The other member of our family could see baboons and elephants from the varanda of their rooms... It felt like home, away from home. I would come back again and again! Wow - where to even begin. We stayed at Naledi for 5 days / 4 nights and had the absolute most wonderful experience. I had been on safari before in Kruger and other parts of Africa, but it was my fiance's first time so we opted for a private reserve where we could be driven off road to see hopefully more animals. ||||The Reserve: We saw EVERYTHING the reserve is absolutely wonderful, there is a diverse range of terrain, you go for a morning and evening 3 hour game drive each day so you can only really get so far from the lodge in each direction but we saw leopards multiple times, prides of lions, families of rhinos, heards of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so much more. The game spotting was absolutely phenomenal. One note - the reserve does have some private homes located within it, so its not as remote as being in the middle of the safari, you do every now and then pass another lodge or private home, but this doesn't degrade the experience whatsoever. ||||The Lodge: the lodge is gorgeous. Its such a cozy size for having only 4 suites. The pool and bar area is wonderfully decorated, with tons of books for reading about what exists out in the safari, the upper lounge area is great for viewing the animals with some binoculars, and the boma outside made for a lovely fireside dinner area. ||||The Activities: the best part of our trip BY FAR was the day we went to the hide by the watering hole. It was incredibly hot, near 95 degrees so we opted for the hide over a bush walk, we were dropped off there with a cooler of drinks and sat as multiple heards of elephants passed through -- drinking and swimming in the watering hole. It was amazing - i HIGHLY recommend doing a hide during your stay. ||||The Team: our safari guides (Opa and Excellent) were fantastic, they were so knowledgeable about the reserve and all of the animals individually -- telling us about the history behind the prides of lions that were on the reserve, telling us which leopard this was, knowing what animal/bird made each sound we heard. It was so cool to be learning all of these things while on safari. ||||The Food: one quick note on the food, I am gluten free and every single meal was delicious. The chef made muffins, waffles, pasta, breaded calamari, tempura fried veggie, banana bread, all gluten free. It was delicious and not once was I unable to eat something that was on the menu - there was always a gluten free version available. ||||Overall we had a 10/10 experience!

We just returned from five unforgettable days at Naledi Lodge, where we celebrated a very special anniversary. The entire team—Marise, Sally, Lilian, Decide, and Chef Dudu and everyone behind the scenes—went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Every meal was perfectly done and high level; the Paperbark suite was spotless and so comfortable, and the extra touches for our anniversary and even a favorite dessert made the stay magical. The staff is beyond incredible and made us feel so special and took care of every detail from transfers to private dinners – AMAZING! Thank you!||The majority of our visit was spent out on the reserve with Vuyani, our guide, and Donald, our tracker. Their knowledge, skill, and genuine passion and enthusiasm made every game drive an incredible experience and we couldn’t wait for the next one. We saw a staggering variety of wildlife — way too many to list – and for those who count – of course the big five. We went with no expectations - and lived in the moment and the intense beauty of this unique part of the world. Every day was utterly amazing from the early morning sunrises to fiery red sun sets in a gorgeous untamed landscape – how beautiful!||Naledi is intimate, warm, and truly world-class and a "must do." We left with lifelong memories, and a special place in our hearts that we will carry with us forever.

Our stay at Naledi Game Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way possible. When we booked this trip we did not realize we would not be in the actual Kruger National Park. Staying outside the park on a game reserve and getting to off-road with guides who are highly skilled in tracking animals allowed us to see and learn about far more animals than we otherwise would have, including multiple sightings of the Big Five. The Rock Fig room at the lodge allowed us to watch giraffes and elephants while sitting on our back deck or in the pool. How cool is that?!! Every meal was 5-star and the staff so accommodating. We even had the opportunity to listen to them sing native songs and dance as part of their Heritage Day celebration. All in all it was a trip of a lifetime!

Staying at Naledi was a wonderful experience, with personalized attention and care that exceeded my expectations. The game drives were fantastic; the rangers are very knowledgeable and focused on what the guests hope to see, which allowed us to spot many animals.

Magical place with wonderful rooms , lovely food but most important amazing staff. We had 3 days , 6 safari drives and saw every possible animal (including the big 5 many times over). We booked direct and then they organised transfers from hoedspruit airport, super well organised and great value!

What a fabulous start to our Kruger trip we had at Naledi staying in the Leadwood Suite.|We were spoilt with choices to relax around in-between game drives & meals, starting with our room with its stunning deck with sunbeds, plunge pool and open views of the park - we had an elephant come up to the fence line & wander along grazing.|The main area has multiple areas around the pool, our favourite was the upper deck with hammocks & lounges & views out over the busy waterhole - could have sat there forever!|The staff were very welcoming, friendly and had a great sense of humour.|Finally our game drives were superb! Vuyani & Donald made it their mission to give us such amazing sightings, while also making the drives such fun and we had so many laughs. We saw everything, but an adult male lion giving us a demonstration of his roaring prowess left us in awe & was something that is etched in our memories forever!!|Thank you Naledi
