If you’re looking for a good bowl of bum bo hue. Then this is your spot in Saigon. Been hunting for a good bowl for years. Finally found one.

Visited this restaurant last month and tried the banh beo, grilled pork rolls, and a dessert. The food was just okay—nothing too special, but it was a good experience trying something new. The place is nice and cozy, and the service was good with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, too.

Perfect little diner that serves Hue cuisine, nostalgic old Vietnamese background music.

I enjoyed my visit to this eatery and had some tasty dishes hailed from Hue in Central Vietnam for the first time. Most of the items in the pictorial menu looked very tempting. I finally decided on three dishes, a generous order, considering I was dining alone. The mustard leaf rolls were a refreshing and crunchy choice to start with. The sauteed baby clams with crispy rice paper was an incredible palate explosion. The sweetness of the clams, when paired with the crispbread-like rice paper, was an instant hit with me. The crab paste noodle soup was nice but not especially outstanding. The restaurant ambience was cosy until one made a trip to its toilet. Due to space constraints, the kitchen shared a common space with the toilet. The kitchen crew was literally preparing food ingredients on the floor directly outside the toilet. It was an unsightly scene of dubious food hygiene practice. If I had not seen this, I might return to try more of their dishes.

Bun Bo Hue was good! The coffee was good! The Bo luot Cham mam Tom was good as well. Overall food were good, but the auntie serving us was rude. Though I can’t understand what she said (my wife was handling her in Vietnamese), but her tone was un-customer service.

Visited 16/01/2024 Humid Tuesday Evening. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience. Had this many years back before covid. Now we are back again to Vietnam 🇻🇳 HCMC to try out their food again. Food was nice. Standard more or less maintained but I can’t say the same for their service. Service staff not friendly at all and always in a rush to clear our cutlery even before we finish our food. Overall a 3 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Very traditionally Hue cuisine, the taste is just right. They also have vegetarian options available. Small restaurant but decoration is cute.
