Nam Giao offers a solid selection of authentic Huế-style Vietnamese dishes, especially classics like bánh bèo, bánh nậm, ram ít, and bún thịt nướng. The flavors are traditional and comforting, and the use of herbs and dipping sauces feels true to Central Vietnamese cuisine. That said, while the food is clearly authentic, I’ve had better versions of Huế dishes elsewhere, with slightly more depth and refinement in flavor. Still, Nam Giao remains a reliable place for those looking to experience classic Huế food in Ho Chi Minh City.

A Vietnam F&B stall which has been around for a long time and manage to sustain their business through Covid. Many locals and tourists eat there since it is just next to Ben Thanh market and their price are reasonable. You can get your taste of local food in this cafe and motorbike parking is easily available. Surrounded by nail salons, you do have to cross the "jungle" of salon touts before reaching the cafe.

I came back to this place after a very long time (may be some 15-20 years). The same "old" charm, service and atmosphere. The bánh ích ram was disappointing, lacked the crispiness of the fried part. The bánh bèo and the bánh canh were good.

The staff were welcoming to our table, they cleaned up after checking that we finished our dishes. I was able to converse with people at my table, no complaints about the noise level. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered Bun Bo Hue and a few other dishes. We enjoyed the dishes thoroughly and were satisfied with both the meal and portion size.

A quiet place to e joy authentic Vietnamese food with good selection. A hidden alley unless is being told. Food is great taste.

Very delicious Hue-style food. Love the broth of Bun Bo Hue and Banh Canh here. The broth of Bun Bo Hue has a rich flavor from the bones and is seasoned just right. Other dishes like bite-sized dishes banh beo, bot loc, banh nam, banh uot, cuon, nem ... (Hue-style dim sum) are great too!

Visited 16/01/2024 Humid Tuesday Evening. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience. Had this many years back before covid. Now we are back again to Vietnam 🇻🇳 HCMC to try out their food again. Food was nice. Standard more or less maintained but I can’t say the same for their service. Service staff not friendly at all and always in a rush to clear our cutlery even before we finish our food. Overall a 3 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Visited this restaurant last month and tried the banh beo, grilled pork rolls, and a dessert. The food was just okay—nothing too special, but it was a good experience trying something new. The place is nice and cozy, and the service was good with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, too.
