Namaqua National Park

Camped in the coastal section recently - still a beautiful, well run park. I see the marine sea life recovering in the protected areas, as well as an increase in the sighting of small buck and other wildlife. They are very tame and not scared of a vehicle, which adds to a great experience. The eco-loos are also meticulously cleaned on a daily basis during the season, and is another feather in the cap of management.

Strongly recommend visiting with a 4x4 to experience as much of the park as possible. Beautiful scenery! Many varied landscapes and vegetation types

It is a beautiful park. Unfortunately we chose the wrong day to visit the park as it was a very very windy day. Enjoyed a beautiful luncheon at Soebatsfontein Guest House. Also saw some beautiful handmade items by the locals and very reasonably priced. Something for everyone to remember your holiday.

Once at the Namaqua National park, the orange turns electric and is a real spectacle for as far as the eyes can see. It was truly magical and brought me to tears. I’ve seen pictures of course, but to see them in person is almost unbelievable.

Epic flower viewing in early September 2023. Our first visit to see the epic wild flowers in bloom. An amazing experience. The dirt roads are well maintained and you can travel in a normal vehicle although it's best in a 4x4 or high rise vehicle so you can see the flowers better. Entrance fee is R52 pp when we went. Toilets only at the reception area. Take your own food and drinks. We did the Korhaan walk which was an easy 3km loop from reception area.

What an absolutely amazing park in the Northern Cape. Stunning flowers and well marked walking paths.

A somewhat desolated place with a section next to the beach and some more inland. The roads are mainly gravel and thick sand where 4x4 is needed. Not many animals but huge patches of flowers during August and September. Camping sites have no water or electricity. An ecotoilet on each site though.
