Namaste Bungalows

My boyfriend and I are living on the Gili island but we spent a holiday month at Namaste Bungalow on Nusa Penida, and it was just amazing. The place is surrounded by nature, monkeys, and friendly dogs—it truly feels like a little paradise. The staff are wonderfully kind, and the owner, Sarah, is an honest, strong, and very communicative woman who makes you feel right at home. The restaurant serves delicious food and offers one of the most breathtaking jungle views, where you can watch monkeys while you eat. There’s also a pool, and the location is perfect—just minutes away from the famous Crystal Bay Beach. Everything was perfect: clean, beautiful, relaxing, and friendly. We’ll definitely be back. 🌿Relative price and good value. I've stayed in much more expensive hotels with very less value, so I'm very pleased with my stay here. We stayed in the family room and it was just what we needed — spacious, clean, and well-equipped with comfy beds, AC, Wi-Fi, and even a jungle-view the kids loved! Tucked away in the forest, this place is a peaceful escape from the city. The Staff is very nice. They are welcome and also have a welcome drink. Lovely!! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, and it felt like a home away from home. 🍳 Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming — made us feel like part of the family. 💰 Great value for the price. Highly recommended for families looking to stay close to nature without giving up comfort! 🌳💚

An absolute gem in Nusa Penida! ( best quality price) Namaste Bungalow is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience of peace, nature, and warm hospitality. The bungalows are beautifully crafted with a perfect balance of comfort and charm, surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere that invites you to truly relax. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it's organizing transport, sharing local tips, or just chatting over coffee, they make you feel right at home. The location is ideal — quiet yet conveniently close to some of the island’s best spots. Watching the stars at night from your bungalow’s terrace is pure magic. It is located in the top the hill in a very quiet area and 10 minutes drive to Crystal bay . Nice little Bungalows in a cute garden . Rooms are nice and cozy but unfortunately a bit noisy because you hear the neighbors very clearly .restaurant very nice with the jungle view

OUR BEST HOTEL during our holidays.The hotel is calm , the atmosphere is really peaceful , hotel is well maintained with attentive staff, the restaurant with the amazing nature's view was also excellent with a huge choice of dishes. Can also rent motorbike direct in hotel for go around.Will definitely return when we'll visit Nusa Penida again!

I spent 4 nights with my partner here, and we absolutely loved it. Rooms are spacious, service is excellent and the view from the restaurant is absolutely breathtaking. We also got to enjoy yoga sessions offered at the hotel, a tour on land and a snorkeling trip. We saw Manta Ray's for the first time, it was awesome. We highly recommend Namaste Bungalows if you plan on staying in Nusa Penida!!

I hate to give this such a low rating, but while staying here, the amount of minor inconveniences just kept adding up. The bed broke when I sat in it. The water tastes disgusting. The chair outside was broken. The bed is extremely hard. There are Tokay Geckos inside the rooms. (You should look up the sounds they make, at night). The curtain that covers the bathroom fell off. The toilet is very loose. There is mouse poop on top of the mirror and in the windows covered with dust. I had to lift up the door to lock it up. They did not explain anything while introducing us to the place, for example, where the card is that indicates that they are allowed to clean, or which can be put on don’t disturb. This was on don’t disturb from the start, and since we did not see it, our room was not cleaned the first day. They also forgot to explain that you can collect swimming towels at the reception. The power dies about once every day. And to top it all off, the restaurant is horrible. I will explain this in detail in my review for the restaurant itself. Luckily the location is stunning, you are in the middle of nature. The pool is rather small but nice. There is also a possibility for doing yoga in the mornings.

The hotel in itself is quite nice. Bungalows are beautiful (even if it’s really noisy as you can hear all the conversations of your neighbours). However, the reception and taxi/driver/shuttle service was TERRIBLE ! A real disaster. We first booked a private tour for the day but the hotel staff allocated us a driver who couldn’t speak and understand English. It was impossible to communicate with him. Besides these communication problems, the driver was ARROGANT (laughing at us) rude, and refused many times to stop to buy some water. Furthermore, after having shared this problem with the reception of the hotel, we saw that they DIDN’T CARE about the problem as they decided to give us the SAME driver for the next day to go to the Harbor. We booked this transfer the day before at 7.45am for 6 people with luggages. The receptionnist told us at 8am that it was not possible for us to all go with the taxi (even if we precised all the information the day before). He started to laugh and told us to « find a solution by our own way because it was not his problem ». We finally left the hotel 30 minutes late and when we arrived at the place, both drivers tried to scam us by asking more money that the amount already paid at the hotel. When we refused to give it to them, they started to ATTACK us physically. WE ARE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED about the service provided By the hotel and find that this situation is UNACCEPTABLE. We are really surprised about the lack of action of the hotel when we told them the problem. For these reasons, WE DON’T ADVICE this hotel.
