We ordered, Chicken Taas Set Jhol Chicken momo (Jhol on the side) Chicken chowmein (asked for chutney on the side) The restaurant was really neat and clean, including serving plates and utensils (not even a spot). Our server was very attentive and polite. The food portion was optimum for the price. Our favorite was the chicken chowmein with their chutney. Momo had the traditional taste of 'awesome' but the jhol texture could be a little smoother (it still tastes good). Chicken taas set had everything you need for a good meal. Overall, it's a spot to come back for as they seem to have a lot to offer on their menu. 5-stars for the clean spotless utensils & cleanliness.

Google
The place is good. If the food has to be a bit like Indian, ask for the dish to be extra hot spicy. The restaurant hosts are quite calm and hospitable. The washrooms are clean. Parking wise space is available. It's quite close to Indian food, when ordered with Extra hot Indian spicy. Both Vegetarian and non vegetarian cuisines are available. Highly recommended if you'd like some good food with decent prices.

Google
Amazing service and phenomenally delicious food! Reasonably priced and generous portions. They even were willing to accommodate my child’s special request. The milk tea was perfect.

Google
5/5 Food, service, atmosphere — everything was perfect. If you’re looking for a chill spot where you can enjoy your meal peacefully without loud noise or distractions, this is the place. Now, the food: it felt no less than dining at a fine restaurant. The flavors were rich and spot-on. Must-try dishes: • Chicken Tikka Masala • Paneer Tikka Masala (for vegetarians) • Samosa Chaat (appetizer) • Pork Chow Mein • Chili Momos Highly recommend!

Google
First time here, and this fixed our momo craving! Both the tandoori and chili momo were very good. Staff is friendly and attentive. The biryani is tasty as well, with good portion size! Tried the mustard green curry for the very first time and it was definitely interesting.

Barb H.

Yelp
Service was quick and our server was friendly. I ordered the vegetable biryani "a little bit spicy" and it was perfect. Usually, food ordered "a little bit spicy" in a restaurant either comes with NO spice or SUPER spicy so that was a nice surprise. It also came with raita which was nice - and unexpected. My friend ordered Chicken Saag and Garlic Naan and was happy with both of those. The place is clean, including the ladies' room.

Larry V.

Yelp
Great food and service. Menu has a variety of recipes all of which sounds delicious. Got a variety of Momo dumplings and naan. Everything was eaten

Yelp
You know how to tell the best ethnic restaurants? One good way is to see that the majority of the diners are members of that ethnic group. If it's good enough for them, it's definitely going to be my first choice too!! I lived and worked in this incredibly diverse corner of Columbus in the early 2000's, and try to get back there as often as possible to truly get an authentic taste of a lesser-known (to me!!) culture. The immigrant/refugee population I worked with in this area was primarily Somali, and while they're still here in large numbers, it appears Columbus has also opened its doors to a large number of Nepali refugees as well. Their food seems to be a wonderful mix of their geography and history...a delicious mix of Indian and Chinese. I sampled the delicious momo dumplings (veggie) which came with an interesting tomato-based sauce and a smaller sized plate of samosa chaat. Reasonable prices, wonderful flavors, and great service... Awesome!! So glad to have the opportunity to try this food, and to share a taste of this corner of the world. I'll be back... Namaste!!

Yelp
What a find! Visiting family in Columbus, OH and Namaste is so yummy for a great price. The waiter was so helpful and attentive, he took the time to explain the menu. We went when they just opened and the restaurant was comfy and quiet. They have a daily lunch special for $9.99 and in all honesty, you only need go up once! Glad I wore stretchy pants LOL

Zane B.

Yelp
Inconsistent locations open but the food is crazy amazing! We will follow them anywhere. Highly recommended aloo dum and chicken tikka masala. Ambience is comfortable and clean. Wait staff are knowledgeable and kind.

John B.

Yelp
I meet a new friend while on Yelp and he asked me to try food from his country. He told me he believes I would love it. So me being who I am I said YES! I will try it today. I told the wait staff to just bring me 3 of the dishes that most represents your culture and your taste. First let me save the staff was very helpful and wore hairnets. They also took the time to explain the entire menu to us. The Place was clean and had light music playing . If you read my reviews I like light music (NOT LOUD) playing that represents the culture of where the food comes from. I ordered to go... however the place was empty and I asked if I could change it to dine in and they allowed us. Chicken Thukpa is there version of a more flavorful chicken noddle soup with spaghett. The flavor and spice blended well. The chicken was tender. Enjoyable. Goat Biryani was a huge portion. the rice had robust flavor like I like. It was perfect. The goat had alot bones which is kinda common. I enjoyed it very much. If you like it really spicy they can turn it up and it will still keep it's flavor. Chicken momo is like a pot sticker. It has good flavor. Taste great when hot. We had so much good we let it get cold but I don't have any regrets. It was good. We didn't have to dip it because the flavor alone. Very satisfied. In closing the price is right and it was very delicious. I loved to hear their music and I couldn't understand a thing. The important part for me was it was their culture. would I bring a friend from out of town. YES! Large groups maybe cramped if it's 2 or more large parties.

Yushi N.

Yelp
I'm not sure what was ordered, but I think it was steamed momos, chicken tikka masala, aalo kopi, and naan. Literally so yummy. I loved the sauces that came with the momos and I loved the chicken curry

Jazeba A.

Yelp
The samosa was very good 10/10 The chicken in the chowmein was a little hard and the chatpate didn't have much salt Would definitely recommend the samosa!

Zag K.

Yelp
The food is really incredible. I came here for the first time because a friend referred me and I will be returning for sure. A small store with great food. The vibdaloo and tiki masala are 10/10. The Momo is out of this world. I will be returning here often, and bringing fiends. It's genuinely worth the trip.

Jared C.

Yelp
Came here while waiting for car repairs, and I don't regret it in the slightest. The food was amazing and, staff were super kind and helped recommend some dishes. And the place had a nice cozy vibe to it, along with some nice easy listening music playing in the background. Will probably try convincing my friends to try it sometime.

Jim K.

Yelp
Good food but sometimes takes awhile to be served. Quaint restaurant with friendly staff

Bill S.

Yelp
I got the chicken Thukpa and it was excellent! As others have said there not much to catch your eye about the location but service at lunch was competent and fairly quick. Definitely going back.

Goose R.

Yelp
Came to this place just out of luck. Came for the Saraga market and needed some vegan food. This place is right next to it. Advertise as Indian Nepali place. My wife and I came in, Friday at 4pm. There's no one in. We almost thought it was closed. After a minute or 2 a nice lady comes out to take care of us. She's the only one out here in the whole restaurant. We place 2 orders. An Aolo gundruk which is was extremely chewy and flavor wise was just ok. I got the Veg thukpa which is the nepali noodles. It was just like a soupy spaghetti, broth was ok but I was a little disappointed about the little amount of vegetables. I would come back to try their Indian selection but as far as Nepali ? It wasn't all that good

Abby S.

Yelp
Came here on a whim after the grocery store and man was I pleasantly surprised! The curry was so good it actually might be my new fav Indian place

Jennifer T.

Yelp
We ordered appetizers and several main dishes and all of the food was so flavorful and delicious. Even my baby was gobbling it up! To top it off the waiter was very friendly and even gave my toddler some candy on the way out.

Anuja T.

Yelp
I have not tried everything in the menu coz Everytime I get here I can't help but order momos and chowmein ... And believe me when I say .. "They are awesome " . Momo are good.. juicy and fit right into your mouth ..just like momos supposed to be ..and the aachar (the dip for Momo) is just the way I looove ... Thick enough that it sticks to momos and yet retains all the flavors .. and then the Chowmein ... What do I say Abt that .. it's Soo good my mother in law still talks about it and it's been 4 months since her last visit .... They have a bar now which is awesome and they have some international beer too .. The one thing that would make this place just awesome is if they had more natural light coming in .. if they did something Abt that it would definitely be a must visit in Columbus ... But hey the food enough is tasty if u wanted try .. worth the try I tell you

Casey G.

Yelp
My co-worker and I went to Namaste after we tried to go to Momo Ghar only to find it closed. Boy, were we glad we tried Namaste! I got the momo pork and some garlic butter naan. Orders take about 20+ minutes to make. It is well worth the wait, their food was so good! We actually liked it better than Momo Ghar. I know I will be recommending Namaste and definitely going back (soon)!

Gwen W.

Yelp
The inside is clean. Spacious. Some decorations on the walls. Our gentleman who served us was friendly. He described several dishes to us. It actually took Marlena and I longer than usual to order - the process of elimination was quite hard, seeing as so many good sounding options! Marlena and I shared their Chicken Momo dumplings. Good ginger and onion flavor. Bite into the dumpling. The dipping sauce was a bit too spicy for me, but I was loving them solo! The flavor profile of my dish was insanely good. Got their chicken and spinach entree (Kukhura Ra Saag). Spices were spot on. I chose the naan instead of the rice for a side. It was steaming hot, fresh outta the oven and 100% perfect for slopping up that broth. Goodness gracious, great balls of FLAVOR! I can't wait to get back here. Our gentleman waiter was thorough giving descriptions and plenty of time to narrow down our pickings. Based on past reviews, and my experience, this place is now on the fast track to getting a great reputation.

Shelby F.

Yelp
My co-worker and I were actually trying to go to Mo Mo Ghar but upon finding out it was closed decided to try Namaste! It was WONDERFUL! I cannot day enough good things. The Pork Momo and Garlic Naan were amazing. The momo sauce was a bit spicy, so if that isn't your thing I'd skip the sauce and just eat the potsticker part. I will definitely be back!!!! Thank you!!

Yelp
When we walked in the door we were kind of skeptical. No one greeted us, so we just took a booth. Eventually a lady came by and kind of tossed the menus at us. Maybe ten minutes later someone came by to ask us for our order. And probably another five or so minutes went by and we asked if we could get a water or something to drink. Not very impressed thus far. I ordered the Tika masala with a side of garlic naan, however, and it tasted delicious. The naan was flatter and crispier than I'd ever had it before but the flavor was still there. The tika masala had lots of green bell peppers in it which was different but added a different element to the dish. The rice was perfect and the server said if we wanted more to just ask. I felt like this place is more of a takeout type place. Sitting down, the atmosphere was severely lacking. The friends of the staff sat at the bar and were overly loud. Our meals were served in styrofoam bowls and paper plates with cheap plastic silverware, and maybe two tiny little napkins for each of us. So I give this place 3 stars, but only because my dish was great. Everything else about it kind of sucked

Sarah I.

Yelp
We had the Chicken saag and the momo. It was sooooo amazingly delicious. The medium spice saag had a zing it yoy arw sensitive to spicy food. Cannot say how much this food was delicious.

Janie R.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner here this evening after we hit up the international grocery store. The flavors were delicious and the staff was friendly. They're using disposable plates and utensils as part of their covid 19 protocol. All of the staff wore masks, but not gloves. We had a chicken appetizer...was supposed to be wings, but they gave us drumsticks instead...they were supposed to be grilled, but were fried. They were still quite good. For our main course, we shared beef curry and shrimp curry. I loved both of them, but I preferred the spiciness of the shrimp a bit more. The beef was a bit mild and sweet for me. My husband loved the beef, but not so much with the shrimp. The naan was also tasty. If you're in the neighborhood, give it a try.

David F.

Yelp
This is a decent little place. We were the only people there at first, and we thought this could be a bad omen. However, despite the fact the place is dark, it is comfortable and the service is very good. the food was a little 'odd'. we started with Indian bread, which was very good. Then we ordered samosas. they were okay but not great. Then, we had the main course. I ordered vegetable korma. it was thin but had decent flavor. My wife ordered lamb curry. It was also thin and had, again, a slightly odd flavor. We love good Indian food, and while this was reasonably good (though somewhat expensive) it just didn't hit the spot. Following the meal, we both felt like we had eaten bowling balls. Namaste should have been better and, going by the majority of reviewers it normally is. maybe we'll give it another shot in the future.

Lily F.

Yelp
Got a few takeout dishes here. The veggie chow mein was the best - the spicing was well-balanced and tasted really unique compared to the chow mein I'm used to. The Aalo Taama and Aalo Matar were just okay, and tasted very similar (maybe all the veggie curries taste similar?). The flavoring didn't feel as balanced as the chow mein. The restaurant itself also felt a little crowded, so we waited for takeout outside. I still like this place and would try it again, but maybe after the pandemic passes.

Julie C.

Yelp
This place is out of this world! It will ruin any other Nepalese or Indian food you try in our city. The flavors were perfect.

Mark K.

Yelp
I've had this bookmarked for a while now, and wish I'd come sooner. Why didn't I? Well, it seemed out of my way, and the reviews were hit and miss, not looking great overall. Turns out it is pretty close to the highway if you're over this way, and the food was awesome. It's small, and plain, and it looks like there's not a huge selection on the buffet. I'll come back and try that. But the menu is extensive, covering most of the usual Indian dishes plus some Nepali. I'd had Nepali before, in Madison, WI, so I had a slight idea what to expect. Plus I love Indian, so I was set. It's a bit hard to find, tucked away in a mundane strip mall near a phone store. It's across Morse from Huong. And once you get inside, it's not impressive. But who needs impressive? I want good food, not fancy decor. It's plain, it's clean, it's not very big. Oh, and since they have Indian food, a lot of it is spicy. I started with pakora, something familiar. It was pretty good- a bit heavy but not greasy, with a mild sauce. Next I had "Chicken 65," which is small bits of chicken, marinated and battered before frying, with scallions, etc., as a nod to healthy eating... It was amazing. Perfect texture, great flavor. Moderately spicy, the kind of heat that builds but not to intolerable levels. It came out super hot, so I ate most of the pakora, then tried to alternate so the spice didn't get too crazy for my tongue. For dessert I had kheer, something familiar again, and it was a good version: creamy, sweet, plenty of rice. A pleasant end to a nice meal. There's not much in the way of service- order and they bring it out- but the server was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back for the buffet and some of the other menu items.

Sameh A.

Yelp
Good Indian option in the area , fairly cheap and very flavorful food , I ordered the lamb Biryani and it was pretty good and well seasoned. The inside of the restaurants isn't look that great with small seating space and an oddly placed bar next to the cashier so I wasn't a fan of the inside but I would get more of the food next time. It's also not in the greatest area so delivery may be best but plenty of parking spaces.

Valerie K.

Yelp
Amazing food! My husband and I were in the Columbus area shopping for international groceries and Namaste happened to catch our eye. Curry lamb, palak paneer, and many other photos of delicious looking food on the front windows. Let me just say, some of the absolute best indo-napali foods we've ever had! We visited Saturday for a late lunch, and returned today, Monday to take their deliciously amazing food home with us back to Niagara Falls NY. I cant say enough how good the food is. Go! You wont regret it!

Teri S.

Yelp
We started with chicken momo, a traditional dumpling similar to Taiwanese gyoza. These are a MUST order. The aloo saag, a potato and mustard leaf stew, had novel flavor combinations - it was light and a good companion to the goat curry. The meat was a little stringy, and I would go with the lamb next time. Because of this, I almost rated the place 4 stars instead of 5 stars. But, the naan bread was perfect and made up for it. As we are driving home, my husband is saying that he would love to go back tomorrow night!

Maya B.

Yelp
I was disappointed with lack of seasoning as far as salt goes. The rice was not aromatic or salted and the sauce was too sweet for the tikka masala. The samosa chaat was tasty though but that is it.

Richard P.

Yelp
Namaste is under new management, so any review older than Dennis L.'s should probably be ignored with regard to the current establishment. We arrived late-ish on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was packed with what appeared to me to be every single Nepali in the Columbus area. Young men bullshitting in Nepalese while slinging back Coronas, and parents and children out for a night on the town (including one particularly charming little girl in a princess dress and shoes that lit up whenever she took a step). It should be noted that any restaurant that uses a shade of obnoxious green in their interior color scheme immediately wins a place in my heart (see my review of Yoma Myanmar in LA). It's the color you find hole-in-the-wall restaurants painted in small towns in throughout Asia, that says to me "we don't care about the atmosphere, because the food's good." The whole effect, patrons and interior decor both, made me feel like I had stepped through a wormhole that had dropped me squarely in Asia. We ordered the vegetarian thukpa to start, along with the goat curry, chana masala, and aloo saag. The thukpa was the weakest of the four dishes, mostly because (despite the spicy, flavorful broth) it used spaghetti for noodles. I get it, it's not like you can easily source Nepalese wheat noodles in Columbus. The other three dishes were excellent - the goat curry is currently battling Hoyo's goat for the place in my heart assigned to best goat dish ever; the chana masala seemed spicier and more flavorful than the typical Indian preparation, and the aloo saag (a mix of potatoes and mustard cabbage in a tomato sauce) was comparatively mild and a good foil to the other two dishes. Plus more rice and naan than we could eat in a single sitting, or for that matter, a couple of sittings. The leftovers are sitting in my fridge, and writing this review is making my mouth water just thinking about them.

Steve A.

Yelp
I visited Namaste for the first time since the new management took over and was impressed with how much better it was. It's a lot nicer looking inside with the repainted walls an improvement over what they were. The food was also much better and so was service. All the items we tried were spiced very well and looked fresh. The biggest problem was it wasn't a lot of food for the price, and the entrees were served in small containers that made them harder to eat, but it was still good taste. I think the location was not as bad as one would assume it would be. The restaurant is in a strip mall on Morse Road, which is not the best place in Columbus. It still felt pretty safe but maybe avoid at night. The inside was clean and the walls had been painted burgundy, which looks more elegant than before. The waiter at the front was helpful in making choices. I had the aloo saag for the entree and the vegetable samosas. The samosas were pretty good. It comes with three but they are small and the price was about $6. It also comes with a spicy tomato chutney. These were not that much for the price but they were stuffed with lots of filling. It was more filling than I thought it would be. The aloo saag had the hot choice of spice. It was spicy without overwhelming the rest of the taste. It came with lots of basmati rice, which were served in small containers. There was lots of rice but there was not that much of the aloo saag and it was about $9. It seemed like not that much food for the price. The food was also hard to eat because of trying to keep the rice from spilling on the table. I would have liked something more practical like a plate. I would come here again to try some more of the improved items. The food is spiced well and tastes much better. The portion sizes of the entrees seem to be small and a bit pricy but there's lots to choose from and it's another great addition to the ethnic food scene.

Ron V.

Yelp
We were passing through Columbus, Ohio and saw this place. Never having tried Napali Cuisine, my wife and I were somewhat leery to try. I'm so glad we did. Upon walking in, the restaurant was very warming and we were quickly welcomed by an extremely polite server. We were very happy with our food. We found it to be similar to Indian food. We ordered the chicken wings and chicken 65 (I believe it was called) for appetizers. For our meals my wife ordered a meal that was similar to an omelet and had them add shrimp. I ordered chicken tikka masala. Everything was delicious and was very affordable. We will definitely go back when we are in town again.

Radhika G.

Yelp
Loved the food. Initially I was disappointed with the ambience and servewares however I simply loved the food and hospitality ! Mutter paneer, moong daal, jeera rice and fried rice were all seasoned correctly (not greasy or loaded with food color or chilli powder). Naan was crispy and light, just the way it should be. Everything looked freshly made. Could work on upgrading serveware but I would still rate it a 5 for the food !

Rajesh I.

Yelp
It was a chance dinner at this place and boy we were pleasantly surprised with the subtle hospitality and honest Indo-Nepali food. Mutter Paneer was as best as it could be and the authentic Masala Chai in the end helped our 3 hour drive later. The food portions too were very liberal(you many want to check in advance if you don't like to carry the excess food back home). I'll recommend this place for good food at a decent price, with homely people running the place.

Susanna Y.

Yelp
Delicious food, served hot and fresh! Staff was wearing masks the whole time, as well as other customers unless they were eating. Food tasted authentically Nepalese. Great service!

Pratistha B.

Yelp
I have been to Namaste many times. As a Nepali, I can say that their food is decent but I was really disappointed with the food/service last night and will not be going back: - My husband and I ordered mango lassi and we were served lassi in a glass that was only half full. - We ordered samosa, chicken chowmein, and pork fried rice. Samosa was served with momo sauce. When I asked the server for samosa sauce, he said samosas are supposed to be eaten with the momo sauce. He could have just told me they didn't have any instead of lying about it. - The chicken chowmein and the pork fried rice had maybe about 10 tiny pieces of meat, so it might as well have been a vegetarian dish but they charged us the price of a non-veg entree.

Rahim A.

Yelp
I order takeout from this place since it's in the neighborhood. They have a good chicken curry

Love A.

Yelp
Yes! They are open on Christmas... they do not have a lunch buffet... they do in fact serve goat... they saved our day after we wasted $110 at nasty ask Benihana's... the nice looking young man was trying to help us figure things out but, the chef or maybe he's the owner took over to help us... he made me a vegan aloo matar which is like mixed vegetables--- it was so fire!!! I loved it... it was full of fresh herbs... my husband loved the goat too! We will most likely be eating here every week... thank you for saving our holiday meal!!!

Tessa X.

Yelp
YUM! Still thinking about the delicious meal I had at Namaste this weekend. We ordered the chicken momo (dumplings) and samosa chat for appetizers, and the Lamb curry and kaloo dal for our entrees. We chose naan, not rice, to accompany both entrees and it was the BEST choice. The naan was hot, fresh and delicious, a little thicker and denser than I've had at other places but sooo good. The samosa chat was really tasty, and the dumplings were good although not as flavorful/juicy as I had hoped after reading reviews about them. Maybe I was feeling disappointed because in comparison, the samosa chat was just awesome and bursting with different flavors/textures. The lamb curry was great, and I'd love to try the goat curry next time. Our waitress also recommended the Kaloo Dal - "Black Split Beans Cooked With Butter And Okra And Butter". I didn't like this one as much - it was more of a soup consistency and a little more bland - but I did like the flavor that the okra brought to the dish. What won me over was of course the naan. So freshly made that it was too hot to handle for the first few minutes of the meal. But soon enough we were using it to scoop up mouthfuls of the curry and the dal. It was just wonderful. It MIGHT even be my favorite naan I've ever tried! Definitely unique vs. the naan at Indian restaurants I've been to. We were the only non-Nepali people in the restaurant when we got there which is probably a good sign that the food is quality and authentic. One of the guys came in carrying a pizza from Little Caesars next door which I thought was funny. I guess you can get sick of anything if you eat it too much! However we had plenty of curry, dal, and naan left after stuffing ourselves, and still had a joyous time eating the leftovers a few hours later after a long night out!

Joe R.

Yelp
Today is my third trip to this restaurant. The first two were on Saturday night date nights with the wife. The food quality both trips ordering off the menu was 5 star, the waitress was cute but seemed unsure about what she was doing. The Things we ordered included the Napoli momo, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, and lamb curry. All were delicious and worth ordering again. Today I came back to try the lunch buffet, once again the quality of the food did not disappoint. Like the saturday night trips, the place is dead. 3 trips now, only have seen 3 other customers on the trips combined. Could be a real gem, shame more people don't try it.

Sammy P.

Yelp
Wonderful! The momo was tender and delicious, packed full of vegetables. Great, crisp bread and rich curry. The mango lassi has spice. Great service and well priced.

Meg S.

Yelp
MY FAVORITE FOOD IN COLUMBUS. We had takeout from here on Monday- all vegetarian dishes- there was fresh ginger in the kidney beans- the flavors were balanced, full, and complexly layered. It wasn't overly-oily like many restaurants. So good that I actually called to tell them after. I never do that. So happy that this restaurant exists.

Susan P.

Yelp
We were on this side of town and really hungry-- after an appointment ran horribly late! We arrived at 2 pm and were the only guest for awhile. We ordered some of our favorites and tried some new to us dishes as well. We are as a general rule, huge fans of Indian-- both the traditional northern dishes and southern Indian cuisine as well. So impressed. Delish. My sone loved the Naan, my daughter tried the Chicken Briyani and even though she requested mild-- it was a tad spicier than she prefers. It does come with ritia. We all loved the chicken 65. The chicken tikka masala was lovely, as was the mater paneer and the mung dal. Masla tea was delish and the kids were excited to be able to get fountain fanta, something they have not been able to have since our trip to Canada. I am sure it is around town, we just haven't run into it in a long while. They have a good selection of beer also, for those who are interested. We plan to go back. Great service as well. It truly hit the spot, after a more less frustrating day to that point. Portions were generous-- we have plenty for leftovers!

Yelp
Great authentic food. Not a great Décor but food has all the right flavors. Staff is friendly. Customers are boisterous (at least today). I got the goat-curry (hot) & it was amazing. Reminded me of my homelands.

Yelp
I am glad I heeded the new reviews for Namaste and gave them a try. It's solid east-Asian/Nepalese food with a few Chinese-style dishes. The space is a little different than I remembered, but it is big enough to take care of your party's needs. The deeply colored walls and their hangings warm the space up. Service here is rudimentary, but efficient. Prices are super-reasonable for the quality of the food. The mango lassi was nice, very creamy but still drinkable and fruity. They have chicken 65, which is my new go-to dish at Asian spots. Darn tasty, pretty spicy - be warned. They offer curries, TONS of vegetarian dishes, and things like fried rice & noodle soups. Bring your vegetarian friends. Many dishes are stews with flatbread cooked into them like dumplings (mmm...), and the ingredients themselves (mustard greens, bitter gourd, ginger) are flavorful in their own right. I wanted something a little away from the norm, so I ordered the Kaloo Dal - split black beans and okra cooked in a butter sauce. Not spicy, but rich and filling. All in all, Namaste is a-okay. We will certainly come here when we have a craving or want some lassi on the fly. Glad the new owners have stepped up to make this place even better.

Yelp
This place was pretty awesome. They had some kind of peanut appetizer dish that was unlike anything I've every had in my life - and it was fantastic. I have craved it half the day since I ate there for lunch.

Yelp
If you love Indian food, but you want to try it with a Nepali twist, this is the spot! I went back two nights in a row. The saag was unbelievable.

Yelp
I'm telling you, I was a little more than dubious of this place based on the reviews. Either the food has drastically improved or people are poor judges of food quality. As of 2016, there is no more buffet, so take that off the list of things to criticize. I had planned to order off the menu anyway, because the quality's always going to be better. You know it, I know it and the American people know it. I ordered two appetizers as my meal: the "Chicken 65" and Nepali momos. The former was essentially just a bowl of fried chicken pieces with some random onions and peppers, but it was absurdly tasty. I ordered it medium-spicy, and it was mild enough not to numb my tongue to the taste, but spicy enough that I could feel it burning for a few minutes after I finished. I'd probably go a step up in spiciness next time. The momos (dumplings) were filled with a mixture of cabbage, veggies and spices, and oddly enough they tasted sort of like hush puppies (but boiled, not fried). Delicious. My wife ordered tikka masala and raved about it. We also ordered naan, which contrary to previous reviews was not store-bought, but freshly made, crispy/flaky, and coated with butter. Possibly the best part of the meal. Atmosphere is utilitarian, as you come to expect in authentic ethnic restaurants. But the servers were polite and friendly without exception. I'm adding this to my list of favorite neighborhood haunts.
