Namsan Guesthouse

Positives: Nice staff. The beds were comfortable, clean, the curtains thick and there was a nice table available. Plus the individual lighting was great. The lockers were really big (large enough to fit a backpack bag) Great location. Negatives: The bathroom could use more cleaning, there was mold growing on the walls. The staff start cleaning around 8:30-9:00 and would turn on the light which was frustrating. The dormitory is big (at least 20 beds) so it can get quite noisy.

Enjoyed our 6d 5n at Namsan Guesthouse with amazing rooftop view of Namsan tower. Facilities also great and super clean. Besides, the host respond very fast to our inquiries. Easily accessible to subway station and bus with 5 minutes walk only. But make sure your legs are strong and fit as it is located uphill. Really recommended for whoever looking for a stay at myeongdong. Absolutely will come back to stay here in future.

Book Family Room that can accomodate 4 people. Very clean, provided with small towel, not a bath towel. Shampoo and shower soap available. No toothbrush provided. Comfy bed and pillow. Very big room and we can open our 4 big luggages.Breakfast provided with self service, laundary area available. Common room or pantry available for you to cook yourself.Elevator available to bring the luggage to the room.Only that, for you to reach the guesthouse, very hilly area. Recommend for young people, but not for old people.

Is it good value for budget travellers? Yes. But is it just a little bit dirty with pretty uncomfortable beds? Yes But do the hosts tidy up your room and replace sheets if you are staying for over a week? No But are the walls really light so you can hear your neighbours snoring and even on their phones? Yes. But do they give bread to make toast in the morning... Actually yes. But is the location suitable? Again yes very close to train station and main streets. But are the showers functional? No water gets everywhere in your bathroom.

In terms of location, this place is great! It’s close to a metro station and in a nice area! The common spaces offered are lovely, with free breakfast and an amazing rooftop view! The dorm rooms themselves are clean. However, there was a big problem with mosquitoes. I was basically eaten alive by mosquitoes every night, waking up to them buzzing in my ear. I even slept with mosquito repellent on, but it was no match for the mosquitoes. This is because many of the windows are kept open all night. While I understand bugs like mosquitoes are a normal, I’d consider closing any windows at night that would allow them to come in.

Our check-in experience was positively impacted by Max's flexibility in accommodating an early arrival, for which we are appreciative. The hostel offers comprehensive amenities, including complimentary breakfast and laundry services, and is equipped with an elevator. While the uphill location presented a logistical challenge with luggage, both upon arrival and departure, we nonetheless found our stay enjoyable. We extend our gratitude to Namsan Guesthouse.

The guests were incredibly rude. From around 10 PM until 2 AM, the constant noise of heavy luggage being packed and moved made it impossible to sleep. Some people, perhaps woken to use the restroom, heard doors opening and clattering. I wonder what the nightlife is like there? Or rather, some doors were left open... The elevators were noisy. It's a great place for a night out, even late at night.

We really liked this hostel. Everything is clean and tidy, and there is a very nice terrace where you can have breakfast. Even though the breakfast is included in the price, the location is incredibly convenient and beautiful.
