Is it good value for budget travellers? Yes. But is it just a little bit dirty with pretty uncomfortable beds? Yes But do the hosts tidy up your room and replace sheets if you are staying for over a week? No But are the walls really light so you can hear your neighbours snoring and even on their phones? Yes. But do they give bread to make toast in the morning... Actually yes. But is the location suitable? Again yes very close to train station and main streets. But are the showers functional? No water gets everywhere in your bathroom.

Safe for solo travelers. Staffs are nice. I was able to leave my luggage in the basement before my check in time. They provide noodles and bread for breakfast. Common area is spacious. Good for it's price. Near Myeong-dong.

one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! i thoroughly enjoyed my stay 🥰 place was conveniently located near myeongdong. bed was comfortable. the receptionist & owner had great hospitality and were super friendly!! would definitely come back again 💯

Namsan Guesthouse has a convenient location close to Myeongdong metro station. The female dormitory bathrooms were quite small and unclean. The toilets on the other hand were clean.The beds were the worst part, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and felt like a rock. The air conditioning was great but the bathroom and toilet was very muggy and didn’t have great ventilation. Washing your clothes in the laundry was free with free detergent as well. The washing machine was excellent however there is only one. They also had clothes lines to hang your clothes or a drying machine for 3000 won (you can only use 1000 won notes to pay).

Pretty good bang for your buck. They have a good common area and as many towels as you need. The beds are very uncomfortable though, and the shower is situated in a rough spot where the entire bathroom with be wet all day. Still, a great place to stay in Seoul.

The bathroom on the fifth floor ( female dorm) was moldy, dirty and smelly. The toilet was basic but the signs weren’t welcoming. Yes it was cheap but cheap doesn’t have to mean dirty. Great location though. I did not interact with the staff. Couldn’t wait to leave.

Do not recommend. I stayed here for 3 nights and was happy to leave. The place is very dirty (see pictures, I should've taken more as the bathroom was filthy too) and nothing got cleaned during my 3 day stay. The mattress was very thin so you could really feel the wood under it. I woke up hurting every morning. On the plus side, it was cheap and in a good location (even though it's quite the uphill hike to get to the hostel from the subway station). Next time, I would spend a little more money and stay somewhere else.

it was the best experience, even if it was my first time in korea. the people there is very nice, the place is near of everything.🫡
