"A breezy all-day spot beloved by the surf crowd for its shrimp aguachile and bottles of cold Suprema beer."

This restaurants had such a welcoming atmosphere and beautiful ambience. Our waiter spoke English very well too. Pretty big menu to choose from and we enjoyed the shrimp tacos and poke bowl. If you are in El Zonte, this is a great place to stop for food. Loved the flavors in all of their dishes. We actually went back for breakfast and it was amazing! Definitely hit it up for some local flavors paired in comfort food.

Nan Tal is an amazing option in El Zonte! I had the salmon with sautéed veggies, and it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The chef’s fish fillet was also a highlight, delicious and fresh. While the drinks are just okay and could use a bit of improvement, the desserts made up for it with great taste and appropriately small portions. The atmosphere is unbeatable. The sound of the ocean combined with their great playlist creates a relaxed and enjoyable vibe. The service is on the slower side, but honestly, the laid-back pace suits the setting, and it didn’t bother me. The restaurant was quite busy, which is a testament to its popularity. Highly recommend!

Loved eating here! They have a wide variety of food from pizza, tacos, chicken, steak, ceviche, and more! I ordered the fish fillet and it was really good, best fish I’ve had while here. The flavor was soooo good. My husband got the steak and said it was the best steak he’s had in El Salvador! We also got the sunrise maracuya mocktails which were refreshing! The space is gorgeous and has a beautiful view of the ocean during the day Had to come back and edit this review because we went back for our final dinner of our trip and again Nan Tal exceeded expectations. The service, the food, the staff all so good. Best restaurant in town imo

The place itself is undeniably beautiful—gorgeous atmosphere, and the staff were very kind and attentive throughout. I came here with high expectations, having heard from others and read reviews saying this restaurant was one of the best in Zonte. Based on the photos and hype, it certainly seemed that way. However, after finally eating here, I was not impressed with the food. So disappointed! This place is a bit overrated. The food is just ok. It’s not special and it seems what I’m really paying for is the ambiance. I ordered the fish burger, for example, and it was a huge disappointment. Not only did it have a weird green color it also had a spongy and gummy texture. Not the texture I want for a fish burger/sandwich. I was surprised this “higher-end restaurant” didn’t use a solid piece of fish to celebrate the protein itself, if that makes sense. The beef burger was also just okay. Nothing special. Last, their homemade ketchup in my opinion wasn’t successful. Tastes nothing like ketchup (and I’ve had plenty of in house made ketchups at restaurants that were successful). Overall, I wasn’t that impressed with the food. I wouldn’t go back just for the dining experience, but I would return to enjoy the pool or grab a cocktail in the beautiful setting.

Nan Tal, next to our hotel in El Zonte, blends local and international flavors in a charming, beach-view setting. The food, from fish tacos to spicy chicken, is exceptional, with warm service enhancing every dish. Homemade ketchup and mint lemonade are highlights. A must-visit for a memorable dining experience.

Our server was incredibly kind, and spoke perfect English (even though I am always keen to work on my Spanish, since I am still a noob). The food was incredible, particularly the ceviche and tuna tar tar. Prices are not cheap but certainly not absurd; you pay for the lovely service, food, chic atmosphere and incredible location right on the water.

AMAZING 12/10! Service was incredible! Everyone is so kind and friendly! We had Patti as our server the majority of our stay and she’s been incredible- superb recommendations for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks! The views of the Pacific Ocean and the surfing are out of this world!!!

We had dinner here one night when staying in El Zonte & it’s the best in this area & in all our 10 days traveling around El Salvador that we experienced. Everything was perfect. We went earlier to check it out, check the menu. The staff attended us right away. We reserved a place at the bar top seating over looking the ocean for 30 min later so we could go back to our hotel & change. When we arrived our seating was ready for us. Our waiter Issac Sosa was very kind, friendly & provided wonderful service, explained things to us, answered all the questions we had. Really hard working guy even in the heat, sweat dripping all over his face was really professional, & smiley. The attentiveness we received was really exceptional especially for Latin America so it shows this place has well trained staff & staff that cares to take care of their guests. The concept of Nan-tal is admired. The write up of their philosophy, incorporating the land & spirit of the culture won us over & we’re happy to have been called to find this place. As for the dinner we had everything was excellent! The Tuna Tartar was incredible, melted in your mouth so tasty & fresh. The grilled shrimps were amazing as well & the broccoli that came with it was beyond, the flavoring; never tasted a better steamed broccoli. We ended up ordering another dish suggested by Issac the Pescado Ceviche which was also delicious & ended the meal with zapote sorbet. Which I believe zapote has an acquired taste which I’m still trying to decide if I personally like by the sorbet was lovely. Honestly we had a lovely evening watching the sunset & surfers catch some waves while enjoying a delicious meal. Very nice ambiance & a really memorable evening & place. Our top best place we ate in our whole 10 days in El Salvador. Highly recommend enjoying an evening here & spending money on something delicious & savory.
