Absolutely delicious food and a lovely atmosphere! The service is warm and attentive, making the whole experience feel special. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but the quality and overall experience make it well worth it. Highly recommended!

We went here based on reviews but without a reservation and luckily were still able to get a table. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was also very cozy and welcoming. We also got our food really quick, but everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!!

We felt at home from the moment we were seated. The staff are so nice and speak English fluently. Food was fresh and delicious! We came back every night after touring Rome. We should have eaten all our meals here! Farouq, one of the servers, went out of his way to be kind to us. Hasan was also very nice and knowledgeable about all the cocktails as well as being a sommelier! Tim(?) another server, was great entertainment with his Boston accent! It was also heartwarming to see the kitchen staff work happily together even when they were cleaning! They also turned off the outdoor lights and helped us celebrate our daughter's birthday!

This is one of the restaurant i’ve had a mixed feeling about. The food was OK. The Asian staff was really nice. However the owner is not so nice to me LOL. As an Asian with extensive experience aboard I’ve never experienced the one that the owner shout at me that ‘we know you’re here and you want to order so you don’t have to call’. Well the restaurant is quite busy and seems like no staffs were ready at that time so i did that. And to be honest I’ve just slightly raised my hand and said ‘excuse me’. He treated the white people well though. Overall i think it’s a good restaurant for white people cause they will treat you well. But for Asian people if you want light food with bad service you can try. My two stars for services are for those Asian staffs which for me are rated as 5 stars for their services. I now see why there are many negative reviews.

Had the roasted octopus and spaghetti Napoletana, both were really delicious and perfect portion. The outdoor covered sitting area with AC fans were a very pleasant feature in the hot weather. Friendly, polite and laid back service. Thank you 👍

Google
The pasta was the best we had in Italy it was super fresh and you can tell it was made. The calamari was also the best calamari I had ever had. I would definitely go back! The flavor of the Ragu Nepolitano was fantastic it had both beef and pork in it and the seafood pasta my boyfriend got was also very fresh and savory.

Google
The best restaurant we found in Rome. What a shame we found this on our last night near our Hotel near Trevi fountain. Otherwise we'd go there every night Pasta was Al dente and perfect. Service was impeccable, they were friendly and spoke English The place was busy but we were seated outdoor without a booking. They didn't charge a service fee or for the bread. We found other restaurants do that. I don't understand the bad reviews. Come try this place..

We arrived around 10 pm after a long day and this restaurant did not disappoint us! The caprese was my favorite. Our waiter recommended the genovese pasta, which was not what we expected, but amazing nevertheless! There is no AC (I think) so it was a bit hot and I cannot imagine what it’s like during the day but I can definitely recommend the food :)

Yelp
Came here twice on my trip! Came across the place just wandering around Rome, hungry and wanted a good carbonara. I was seated immediately and sat inside in the back. Cute restaurant and ambiance. Staff was very friendly. Ordered the La Scarpetta Dello Chef for appetizer & carbonara for main dish. Perfection! Carbonara was unbelievable. I would say this was probably my favorite spot i had ate at while in Rome. Came back on my last day again and ordered the Scarpetta & carbonara again! I had came right before the lunch rush and it was just me in the whole place. Sat outside and was served quickly. Close to trevi fountain, not too much in the packed areas and def. worth coming here. Will i eat here when i come back to Rome? YES! Thanks for such amazing meals! :)

Yelp
I will never eat in this place again and I don't recommend it to anyone. The Spaghetti with clams is so salty, The Fusilli with fish and eggplant smells so horrible I barely touched it!!! And worse service, our food took so long to come, there were 2 tables who came after us got their food first. They have a lot of mosquitoes in their restaurant, I got. It several times. Their stuff was rude too!!!

Yelp
Good food and service. Close to the Fountain but away from the crowds. Sat outside on the terrace, heaters were not needed. Great explanation and suggestions from the menu.

Yelp
Our second dinner in Rome was met here.. I was a little skeptical because not many people wrote on Yelp. But wanted to check it out... It was about 8pm when we walked in were seated fairly quick because it was empty in the back end of the restaurant. Over glancing over the menu i opted for Risotto alla pescatora. And pizza with sausage, mushroom and potaotes.. Now i realized i did order risotto. I also forgot it takes a long time to cook! With that said thank goodness we ordered an appetizer! The pizza was made in brick oven. Had some nice char on the potatoes not too salty not plain! After pizza. We waited and waited. My cousin was sitting near the window where you can see the chefs cook i told oh cool take a picture naturally to post on yelp. I noticed that there was Dececco dry pasta on the shelf. Really an itaian restaurant in the heart of Rome has spaghetti from a box. That to me was a disappointment. Thank goodness i ordered risotto! I also thought it was odd that for a few moments even our main course dishes were not done both chefs left the kitchen to go put to the patio to chat to patrons or friends dining. I thought with the restaurant not busy why would you make people wait. Would i return for the risotto and pizza yes but not for pasta!

Yelp
This restaurant is quite nice. Food is not bad but also not amazing. I had eggplant with Parmesan and pasta with seafood. Pasta was a bit smaller than I assume. The starter was very good. Coffee was too hot according to my taste.

Yelp
If you are by the Trevi Fountain, you must have lunch or dinner at this restaurant. The food was delicious and very tasty and not just your typical pasta dishes. It was authentic, creative and just that good. Nana Vini e Cucina is much larger than it seems on the outside. There's a nice outdoor dining space for people watching and the inside has a private room for larger parties. The decor is very warm and inviting. The entire staff in the restaurant is a great group. You can tell they enjoy their work as well as each other. My server Aniello was great! He's honest with his choices on the menu and gives excellent recommendations. He's very attentive and goes above and beyond. He recommended the Burratina con Gamberi Crudi as an appetizer and it was the best choice ever made. Then he recommended the seared tuna, which was another great choice. I actually returned to the restaurant on my last day for another great meal and with Aniello as my server again. This time he recommended the lobster ravioli and it was the best I've ever had! Paolo and Davide are excellent chefs. Their meals and presentations were exquisite. Diego is the nicest of them all. He really knows how to manage the restaurant and his staff. Alessandro and Giuseppe were just as nice and friendly. I can't say enough about this group. I will be returning to Rome in the near future and can't wait to bring my friends and family to Nana for an amazing meal and experience. I highly recommend you do the same.

Yelp
Overrated Out of the 15 restaurants visited this week in Florence and Rome this restaurant was the most disappointing Slowest and most inattentive service Overpriced Food bland Ambiance is nice Menu is also nice visually but the end result not good So many other better choices or just don't eat that meal and starve yourself Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yelp
Great Italian food, great service, most authentic Italian food. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Yelp
I was going to another restaurant that had high start review, but they had a wait, so I choose Naná. It hit the jackpot! The staff was so friendly. The food was delicious. I had the fish of the day red snapper. The waiter came with a tray of fresh fish to choose from. The fish was baked in the oven with potato olive oil olives and cherry tomato. Sooooooooo good. My sister said the gnocchi was the best ever. My other sister had filet, it was cooked perfectly. When I come back to Italy for Sure we will eat here again. Joseph was our best waiter ever. Friendly

Yelp
Great fish restaurant with nice ambiance. Had to wait quite a while for table and preparation of the food took 40 min. But once the food came we were not disappointed- great tasting and very fresh. 4 stars only because of the waiting time for the food. The red wine of the house was very nice as well! No need to buy a bottle! Otherwise the service was good, Giuseppe was very sweet and friendly. Next time I hope to give 5 stars as the food quality deserves it.

Yelp
Very attentive! Food was delicious, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The bathrooms are spacious and the overall decor was inviting and polished. They also offered decaf caffè-hard to come by in Rome! The homemade pasta was the best.

Yelp
The BF and I came here for dinner on our first night in Rome. The food was ok, but the service was horrible. First, the food. We ordered the potato and sausage pizza and spaghetti carbonara. The carbonara was ok...and the pizza was not good at all. Maybe it was just out choice of topping, but it just didn't sit well with us. Note that we've been in Italy for over 10 days at this point, so this place wasn't impressing us one bit. Now to the service. Our waiter was curt and seemed like he just wanted to leave. He actually got yelled at by a guy at another table for screwing up the wine order. I get that people have bad days, but he just didn't seem like he gave a flying s**t about anything. Between the poor service and the mediocre food, I wouldn't come back again.

Yelp
This place is fabulous. Sea food is out of this world fresh!!! Prossiuto amazing!!! A must visit, even if just for a small snack. Staff is helpful, friendly and speaks English. It does help if you speak Italian too

Yelp
My girlfriend and I found this little gem while on a recent trip to Rome. Just past the touristy restaurants around the Trevi Fountain, you will find the perfect spot to enjoy some homemade seafood pasta. Try the octopus potato salad as an appetizer, amazing!
google avatar

Ginny B.

Yelp
Mediocre pasta for 12 euros each. House wine was good at 4 euro per glass. Service ok. Enjoyed the ambiance of eating outside. The other nearby restaurants that were rated more highly did not have outside seating. We also liked the bruschetta appetizer.

Yelp
What you expect from an Italian grandmother's kitchen - unbeatable pasta served with hospitality. Romantic setting, staff welcoming and convivial, delicious variety in bread basket. Recommend enjoying the outdoor seating with spaghetti con zucchini and cheese, wine, and tiramisu for dessert. Enjoy!

Yelp
I went to this place for dinner. There is a cover charge but it's only $1 per person from what I remember. I had got the spaghetti with bacon (no cheese). It was a little too aldentea in my opinion and you can tell the pasta isn't fresh. The sauce was good though! The pizza that had roasted potatoes, sausage and some cheese which was really good. My cousin ordered the risotto which usually takes 20-25min to cook. So if you order a risotto, get an appetizer so your not waiting getting more and more hungry. The place inside was very big and you can see into the area where they cook which was pretty cool. They also had a outside area to sit as well.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere with a service to match. We tried the octopus salad and ham and cheese board, both were delicious. You can see the chef at work which is very cool! Thanks for the lovely lunch! Till next time

Yelp
I had grilled vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, pumpkin & lettuce) with a garlic olive oil and white wine vinegar: very overdressed, and with too much vinegar. But my pumpkin and parmesan pasta was to dye for! I know that service tends to be slow in Italy but it gets me every time. I had to wait too long (20min) in between courses watching my server chat with his coworkers, and another twenty to get my bill, and even after asking for both, another server had to give me the change. Overall, the food was so good that it made up for the Italian service.

Yelp
OK, tried this place tonight and am very disappointed. My fresh fish, unfortunately came with scales on it after I asked to have cleaned, but thought chefs do that kind of cleaning. My wife's primi was totally forgotten, until my order was already on table. Let's not forget that rude waiter. Take at your own risk. He tried to make up for it with wine and brushcetta, but how in Italy do you mess up like this...... Never again.

Mariely M.

Yelp
We had the most wonderful meal in Rome at this beautiful restaurant. We all had the fish of the day and it surely did not disappoint-fresh, delicate, and cooked to excellence. Wine recommendation was on point. Locals eat here, so you know it's good!

Yelp
when we first arrived in Rome we hurried and ate by our hotel then walked around looking for a cute place to eat the next night. we found this place and came back the next day. yummy! only bad thing that seems to be a habit in Rome is they never come back to ask if you want more to drink! not the end of the world but they could have made more money. my food was delicious and my fiance loved his food.

Yelp
Excellent food and service!!! Great ambiance including nice jazz music in the background. White tablecloths and an overall great experience!

Obormot O.

Yelp
The place is pretty good. They manage to offer good food and service despite the tourist location. I also found a non-alcoholic aperitif called Crodino here. Something I've been looking for.

Emma S.

Yelp
We were two people who shared some bruschetta and some parma and cheese. Both the food and the service was great! I would sure recommend the restaurant.

Glenn M.

Yelp
Amazing! One of the local suggested them as I was only a block or two from the Fountain of Trevi. They have a smoked mozzarella with olives,us grooms and red pepper that is to die for.
