The food was excellent. I had grilled goat cheese, which was high-quality and perfectly prepared. The salad that came with it was a bit old-school, but I guess it suits the style of the cuisine. My husband had halászlé, and it was truly delicious. We finished with a sweet touch—chocolate soufflé. There was nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back!

We visited this place as it was a childhood favorite of mine when i still lived in Hungary and it hasn’t changed a bit! The food was overall tasty - save for a few questionable side options, like the potato donuts that are served with the venison - but definitely a bit more on the pricey side. Nonetheless the atmosphere of the restaurant makes up for it, and their desserts were superb!

A fantastic classic Hungarian restaurant! The fish soup is excellent, and the Somlói galuska dessert is even better. Definitely order it — you won’t be disappointed.

Nice Hungarian Cuisine restaurant, located in a nice green area not so far from the city. The food was great, but prices a bit upmarket...All the staff are good English speaking. small playground for kids. Internal seating area looks very cozy with old style decoration . Clean restrooms. Recommended place.

Náncsi Néni is a charming gem nestled in a converted 17th-century farmhouse, offering a truly memorable dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the vintage wood furnishings and warm ambiance make you feel right at home. The cozy, homely atmosphere is perfect for savoring the best of Hungarian cuisine. The goulash here is exceptional—arguably one of the best I've had in Budapest. Each dish reflects care and authenticity, leaving no doubt about the quality of the ingredients and preparation. The service is equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff who make your experience seamless and enjoyable. Although the restaurant is located a good distance from the city center, it is absolutely worth the drive or commute. The tranquil garden adds to its allure, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely meal, especially on a sunny day. Be sure to plan ahead—this restaurant is very popular, and reservations well in advance are highly recommended. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Náncsi Néni is a must-visit destination for those seeking top-notch Hungarian fare in a welcoming and rustic setting.

Náncsi Néni is an authentic Hungarian restaurant that I’ve visited a few times already. The food is consistently great and genuinely Hungarian, paired with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant can get full quite fast, so it’s definitely worth making a reservation before visiting. That said, I find the place a little overhyped and quite pricey for what it offers. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything I’ve tried has been really tasty and well-prepared. The location is a bit far from the city center, so coming by car is convenient — just note that parking can be a bit limited. Overall, it’s a great spot if you want to try authentic Hungarian cuisine in a charming setting.

Good day, everyone! This is a family-style restaurant located in Budapest's 2nd district. In the summer, their courtyard is always open, where you can enjoy your food and drinks in the shade of the trees. The food is delicious, authentic Hungarian cuisine. The portions are generous but not excessive. The service is quick, and the cooking and grilling are done to a good standard. Prices are slightly above average. In the winter, seating can be limited, as they primarily use the main dining hall. A few things to keep in mind: There is virtually no parking (space for 3-4 cars at most). Parking on the grass or further down the street will result in a fine. The police come by almost every hour and are quick to issue tickets. When ordering, it's better to ask for the chef's or the waiters' recommendations. Trust me, it's a better option than guessing from the menu. The place has the simple, rustic cleanliness of a country house gazebo. Don't expect a spotless, gleaming environment. Come with a good mood! The waitstaff are always helpful and will happily play along with a joke. Good luck and enjoy your meal! RAMIL01
