Nando's PERi-PERi

My food wasn’t ready and I understand that it’s an approximation of time. However, when I saw the new holiday menu offerings I thought it would be interesting to try something new. I live upstairs and I always like to patronize the businesses below me. What was described in the menu versus what I received are completely two different presentations. (See photos below). I hope someone really takes a look at this and trains their staff on basic presentation of their entrees. If I was the manager, I’d correct this immediately. Is this $14 worth of food now?

employees were nice, but food did take quite a long while to get to us. not my personal fav but it was okay. I had a wrap and it was pretty good. my sister had lemon and herb chicken and it was a bit much for us but was okay. not really worth the very expensive price in my opinion.

We had a lovely time at Nando's around 11:30am on a Thursday prior to going on an architectural tour boat ride. It was my family's first time here and they enjoyed the wraps and bowls. We loved the view!

Food was amazing. Chicken and peri-chips were piping hot and perfect amount of seasoning. As a bonus I was offered a free dessert that was incredible. A warm custard cup with brown sugar. Delicious! 5 stars

Food is pretty decent overall. Service is kinda weird by design. You scan a QR code and then your stuff shows up at your table eventually. The staff is kinda just there. They aren't rude but they aren't courteous either. It'd probably be one more star, but one of my items never came. I asked 4 different people about it and each said it'd be out soon. I finished my whole meal and drink and waited another 10 minutes before giving up. I then asked for a refund for the 1 item I didn't receive so I could leave. I kept asking people and they weren't like "oh, sorry that happened" they kinda just looked annoyed and mumbled. Eventually a manager (I assume) said he'd do the refund and then just walked away. After another 5 minutes I asked someone about it and they kinda just looked annoyed. Then I asked another person and they said the manager had to go in back to do it on the computer. After another 5 minutes I just left. I was already there like 20 minutes longer than I wanted to be trying to get like $4 refunded. Again the food is fine, but the staff has never even heard of customer service. If they replaced the staff with robots they'd probably be more courteous.

We ordered the full chicken meal with rice and garlic bread. The process of ordering off the QR codes was difficult and the ordered kept cancelling. We did not receive service until after we placed our order in the app, which was prompt. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. I would come again but would suggest ordering from the registers and skipping the QR code style from your phone. The space was nice but needed some cleaning around the sauce station and clearing tables.

Who doesn't love nandos. Top tier chicken, super healthy and delicious. The halloumi sticks are the best thing on the menu in my opinion, and the perinaise is amazing. If you haven't been then you're missing out

Okay so I previously left 1 star review. Seems like service got lil better. And their chicken thighs were good today. But the wings were burnt!!

I think Nandos south loop is the best of all Nandos in the area. It's huge with lots of seating, ample lighting and the statement Nandos decor. The staff is very friendly too. They are happy to offer suggestions. This Nandos has a bunch of alcoholic drinks on the menu too. Apart from the chicken, I am a big fan of the Mac and cheese and the pastel de natas. Love this Nandos!

Went to the South Loop location of Nandos and it did not disappoint! We had their house sangria, chicken with the classic lemon herb sauce. Yum! We also tried the white cheddar Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts topped with ranch and plate of fries. To end the meal we had a fun take on the Portuguese pastel de nata, (naughty nata) having been to Portugal and had many pastel de natas this was one was quite delicious!! The service was attentive and friendly with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

The food was delicious of course. The Mac and cheese could've been a bit more flavorful in my opinion but everything else was tasty. I will say I LOVE spice and their hottest hot sauce was not that spicy to me. With that being said, a lot of seating available and validated parking if you park in the garage. The service was pretty good! Everyone was pretty kind.

Ordered a half chicken there this past Saturday and it was NOT done... I think their cooking process is TOO fast... I almost gagged. Chicken should be well done, such a waste of my money since I had to toss it. Couldn't take it back since my lunch break was ending. This was a pick up order

One star just doesn't cut it for the disappointment that was my recent Nando's experience. The famed peri-peri chicken was overshadowed by truly terrible customer service. Forget the vibrant flavors; I spent more time chasing down my order than enjoying it. Repeatedly reminding staff about my meal felt like a chore, not a pleasant dining experience. To add insult to injury, the chicken bowl itself was a shadow of its former self - a drastically reduced portion size left me feeling both hungry and ripped off. The ambiance was mediocre at best, further contributing to the overall underwhelming experience. Avoid unless you enjoy chasing down your food and settling for less.

Loved the rainbow bowl with shredded chicken. Seriously planning to frequent this place! Fresh and so tasty!

I got two leg quarters, macho peas, and peri fries. Chicken was flavorful and juicy. Fries crispy and soft. Peas also cooked to perfection. Employee never checked on me after bringing food and never brought water. Prices are very expensive. Without sides, 2 leg quarters are $16.

I've been here a few times now, and the workers have always been so friendly. Visited on a Monday at noon with some friends and it was pretty empty. I decided to get the 1/4 chicken breast (mango & lime) with 2 sides - macho peas and Portuguese rice. I will probably pass on the peas next time - not a fan of the mint flavor with it. The rice was good though. The chicken, per usual, is very juicy and tasty. I dipped it in the medium sauce as well for extra flavor. I also had a bite of a friend's garlic bread and it was delicious so I'll probably opt for that instead of the healthy peas. :) I love the interior of this place too - very open.

Stopped by here for lunch before a downtown doctor's appointment. The restaurant is founded on a very interesting African culture. Apparently this is a South African chain. PERi-PERi is the unique sauce from Mozambique that they use. It is very, very HOT; but rich in vitamins A, B and C. When tasting the sauce alone, it definitely clears you sinuses; but it is more tolerable when eating it on food, especially the chicken. I had the quarter chicken with corn on the cob. The chicken is flame cooked and is delicious. I had the mango and lime sauce. The dining area is decorated with an African motif with music to set the mood. Service was fast for the main meals, but not for dessert. We ended up having to order on-line. The wait was at least 20 minutes. All-in-all, it was a great dining experience and will return.

I tried Nando's because a friend recommended it. The Rainbow bowl was delicious and fresh.

My sister and I love Nando's! From the immaculate interior design, to the juiciest chicken thighs, we eat here every so often. My go-to order is the two 1/4 grilled chicken legs with fries and garlic bread as sides. I get the chicken in the hot marinade and then drench it with the lemon herb sauce. It is the BEST sauce! Must try! All the different sauces are located at the sauce bar that they have and you can go grab them yourselves. The fries are always crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the garlic bread is so pillowy soft with a light crunchy crust. Their mash potatoes are also worth mentioning; buttery goodness. If you like grilled chicken, definitely give Nando's a try!

Nando's, please add more locations! We need you in Indianapolis.... I was in Chicago to go to a concert and this was a perfect spot for delicious but quick food... they were slightly busy but I loved the option to just seat ourselves and order from the table by scanning a QR code. I like the system, I feel like more restaurants should do this. It's a lot quicker and efficient unless you have questions for a server. They had many different options but I went with a bowl and fries- they were both so yummy, I want them again. It's sad there is no Nando's near me.

Very impressed. Bringing this type of cuisine to a casual restaurant concept was probably no easy feat. We ordered about $30 worth of takeout for 2 and were able to get plenty of food, a dessert, and one of their specialty lemonades. So all in all I was impressed with the value. The workers are very friendly and me being completely unfamiliar with the menu they were nice brought to walked me through the whole menu. The mango lime sauce is awesome. Highly recommend the macho peas, too. If you haven't given this a try, you should!

Still waiting 25 mins later for food. Ordered a spiked drink, got a soft drink. Badly organised. Wont be back. 0 stars if I could.

While attending a week-long assembly at McCormick Place, I was yearning for better food options for lunch/ early dinner. This Nando's location, through Yelp's doordash delivery option, twice delivered food to me. The food was delectable, delivered in a timely fashion, and left me wanting to order the next day! My first order was a touch incorrect but I plan to settle that soon. And this error did not negatively impact my overall enjoyment. The PERi-PERi Chicken Tender Bowl is mmmm good with the medium sauce. The Naughty Natas are DELICIOUS!!! Although they are more expensive than the ones strolling the streets in Lisbon, they are otherwise perfection in their sweet flaky tastiness. Thanks Nando's, now open a few locations in Southern California.

The service is is superb! The manager. Norma and Mike, can't remember his tile stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying our food. We were told to take a survey for a chance to win free food. Mike had on a tee shirt that read, flipping the bird. I saw another cool tee shirt there that read, I bring a lot to the table. As a single woman I need that shirt but Norma said, "they are not for sale." The place was a little dirty, and busy when I got there but I saw it getting cleaned up while I dined in. The bathroom also needed some cleaning, not sure if they cleaned it while I was there, I only went to the bathroom once. The food was great, seasoned well and was delivered to the table. It was hot and photographed well with a lot of bright healthy colors displayed. I ordered the chicken bowl and Mac and cheese. Oh yeah, my girlfriend insisted that we order the garlic bread and we did. It was so good, I ate it all up and completely forgot to take a picture. Next time, good people I'll take a picture first, I promise. The pricing isn't bad ($15 per person) give them a try I think you will be happy with the experience as well.

Terrible customer service , long wait time for food little to no help from servers , tables were dirty this the worse location try else where

I used to live in the west loop and have been dining here for years with my family. I have celebrated birthdays , graduations, and catered many times from peri peri loop location. I now live 1 hr away and still made the trip to dine in or have carry out. Today I drive a total of 2 hrs round trip to pick up dinner from my family. When I arrived I told them my husband called in an order for pick up. I said my husbands first and last name. Upon arriving at home I was given the wrong order. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know that the wrong food order was given to me. I was put on hold and spoke to the manager of the restaurant by the name of Henry. This gentleman rudely told me that it was my fault for taking the wrong bag. he claims that he verified the name on the bag which was not even anywhere near my husband's first or last name. Never an apology for the error on the restaurants part or for his rudeness he continue to interrupt me while I was speaking and eventually said again that it was my error, I asked him to credit my card for the full amount of my order. The food that was given to me, looked like to chicken breast slop sandwiches, I will be calling corporate on Monday and letting them know what type of manager is running their business in the Chicago Loop Peri Peri restaurant. You have completely lost my business, family, business, and friends. I will tell everyone not to go to this establishment again.

I love this restaurant and am somewhat of a regular there, but one evening this week left much to be desired. I ordered simple dinners-for-two through the GrubHub app, and had the food picked up there and promptly stolen by the assigned delivery driver (which is a repeat occurrence that GrubHub seems never to address). Of course, I phoned the driver directly since the website map showed that he was en route but heading in the opposite direction, and he did not answer. Next, I phoned the Nando's restaurant and the manager first was quick to say there were no orders there packed to go out, but then admitted that mine had actually already been picked up more than an hour and a half before. He said I should talk to GrubHub because there was "nothing he could do once an order leaves." Then, I phoned GrubHub who, right on script, said that the order "was cancelled," and that the restaurant could not re-send it because they were closed (which they were not).

Nando's is SO good. Coming from CA, I am glad I discovered this wonderful chain of restaurants known as Nando's Peri Peri. Whenever my girlfriend and I eat Nando's, we share the Full Chicken Platter with Portuguese Rice and Macho Peas for the sides. The rice and peas are so good that we haven't tried any of the other sides. The chicken is marinated over 24 hours then flame-grilled. There are additional sauce dispensers for indoor dining and sauce bottles for purchase to go. I recommend slathering extra sauce on the breast pieces for the optimal eating experience. The sauce is very flavorful and the spice is mild but builds up over time. The portions are large enough to have leftovers for the next day. Nando's Peri Peri is an international chain which started in Johannesburg, South Africa. The base of their sauce utilizes Peri Peri, or African Bird's Eye Chili. These are similar to Thai chilies, which are also called Birds' eye chilies. If Nando's is based in South Africa, why do they serve Portuguese rice, you may ask? That's because the owner was from Mozambique, which was a Portuguese colony.

Consistently flavorful and delicious chicken, every time I order takeout or eat in at any Nando's in Chicago. This one is in a great location at the Roosevelt collection, right outside the Icon movie theater. Perfect place to grab dinner after your movie :) We had the full chicken (cooked in the hot sauce) which came with 2 large sides. Perfect for a meal for two hungry people, with some leftovers. I always order the Portuguese rice and the macho peas--both are packed with flavor and spice! I love that the restaurant has big bottles lined up of all their different spices so you can bring it to your table and pourrrrrrr to your hearts content. Their sauces are BOMB. I love the medium with wild herb one. Sooooo tasty and with a kick. Definitely recommend Nando's! Big fan.

Nando's at Delano Court was a pleasant dining experience. We ordered the Thigh and Mighty sandwich with fries. We paid $1.00 extra for the ranch sauce which was only filled half way full. I thought it was not enough sauce given how a had already used the entire plastic cup before I finished my bowl of fries and sandwich. The parking is a breeze. You can park free in the underground parking lot as long as dining at Nando's is under 2 hours with the parking ticket validated on your way out.

I've been before, but this review is for my latest visit. Everyone was so friendly and my food took 10-15 minutes, but came up fresh which I'm happy to wait for. I tried the peach bowl which was a new one for me and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it! I also got a bottle of coconut lemon sauce to go. The next day I used the sauce to marinate my pork chop and I reheated some of the rice from the bowl and let me just say - amazing! I think I might have to try some more of their sauces after this experiment. Parking in the garage underground is validated and they have a decent sized outdoor patio.

Always a fan of nandos. It's three levels above chipotle! When I moved over here I was immediately smitten by nandos. I went to this location recently after a hiatus, and got the new rainbow bowl! They kept the chicken skin on the thigh meat and it wears delicious 10/10! I'll probably stick to my chicken peri peri salad but this one is great when you're feeling experimental :) red skin mash potatoes are also a must have

I love Nandos! For dine in here you order at the front and your food is brought to your table when it's ready. Everyone at this location is so friendly and service is fast. Atmosphere is a little dead but I think that's because it's located in the back of a less popular shopping center and it's the dead of winter at the moment The chicken here is bomb you can't really go wrong with any of the options - I like the 1/4 chicken leg, the thighs, the wings, etc. The sauces are all great too! I usually get the medium but the lemon herb is also really good. You can also get the sauces in bottles to bring to your table. Sides are also really good- the mashed potatoes are literally the best mashed potatoes I've ever had - if you're only getting one side I would get these!! Others I enjoy are the corn, peri chips w/perinaise, and the Portuguese rice A little pricey for chicken but worth it imo

I've been to several Nandos, which is why I'll blame my experience here on the staff. My boyfriend waited almost 20 minutes longer than me for his order even though we ordered at the same time, and when it finally came, the "waiter" said they were waiting on fresh mashed potatoes, which never came. The table behind us had the same issue. The chicken ceaser wrap was literally all lettuce and a few pieces of chicken so my boyfriend decided he wanted something different. The staff was nowhere to be found so he took the plate to the counter and it literally took 6 employees to crowd around & debate with him about the amount of chicken in the wrap. I got a slimey, fatty piece in my chicken sandwich so I didn't even finish it. I'll save the rest of the details but this experience was honestly terrible. Go to any other Nandos and you should be fine. Just not this one.

The food is fresh, fast and delicious. We stopped here for dinner before a movie, and appreciated the man who took our order. He was conscientious that we were next to a movie theater, and made sure we had plenty of time for our food to arrive before the movie started. We ended up ordering wings and a bunch of sides for two of us - it was a great light dinner and packed full of flavor.

Took a peri-peri long time. Food was good but holy frick we sat there forever. We are actually still waiting on the peas; they never came. Manager came off way to strong for how poor the service was and also spoke condescendingly. Would recommend finding a different Nando's to go to. It's a great restaurant and love their food, but if this were my first time I would not go back.

Oh my! The chicken was so juicy and full of flavor! We ordered the chicken leg quarters with medium spice and it was perfect! Not too spicy! We were trying to be healthy and ordered smashed peas & roasted cauliflower as our side dishes. Then Natas (Portuguese egg tarts) for dessert. They came out hot and fresh. Only wish they would've brought it out at the end of the meal instead of during the meal.

I've been wanting to come in for quite some time and never got around to it but I finally stopped in. I was immediately greeted and explained how the menu works. Went up and ordered, and everyone was very friendly. The food was delicious! I got a quarter chicken with fries and rice. Chicken was moist and fries were great with the dipping sauce. A bit on the pricier side for a weekday dinner (1/4 chicken + fries + rice + soda came to $20) but I will definitely come back.

I'll get this out right up front: I developed a Nando's habit in London, and the closest Nando's to me is in Chicago. So when in Chicago I get my Peri-Peri fix at Nando's, then live in desolation until the next visit. This is a new Nando's (my "home" Nando's is at State and Lake in the Loop), but the food is just as delicious as I remember - They have changed up a few things for the pandemic. Order at the counter where staff is behind plexiglass. Only certain tables are open for seating, and staff will assign you a table to enforce social distancing. But the chicken is the same delicious smoky fiery Peri-Peri bomb I remember and crave when I'm not in town. My chicken was cooked perfectly and the spice level was just as I ordered. Grilled peri-peri Brussels sprouts were delicious - says this non-Brussels sprouts lover. I'll try and make these in my house since hubby insists on roasted BS at Thanksgiving! Others had medium peri-peri chicken bowl with rice, corn, hummus and arugula - delicious and healthy. The mild Mango Lime Chicken Wrap was a flavor bomb without blowing anyone away. And for the zero-spicers in the family, the Haloumi Portobello mushroom wrap is a standby. We finished our delicious meal off with charming butter tarts, which are sweet and creamy custard filling in a puff pastry shell. I LOVE Nando's! 5 peri-peri paradise stars

I've been to Nandos before in the West Loop, but this is my first time at this location... An old roommate of mine is OBSESSED with y'all (& TBH so am I)!! First off, the location is beautiful! The ambience is amazing, and it's nice that there is an outdoor seating option. But I love how the indoor seating feels like a lounge in a fancy hotel. Coming to Nandos is always fun because the food reminds me very much of what I used to eat in the Balkans (za Middle Eastern foods ). It also has a similar flavor profile of S. Asian and Caribbean. Honestly, South African food is top-tier! The fries will always be my favorite, and I love to dip them in the mashed potatoes (with za skins!!). The fact that almost everything has at least lemon, garlic, mango, or chili pepper in it gives me joy. It's also a treat to see my fellow Mixed friends get excited about it. Honestly, this is an amazing place for meet ups between buddies, family dinners, and even a boss-to employee(s) type outing. Forever returning now that I know THIS is the location the hommies go to. Only took one star away because it does get loud sometimes, and you are essentially unsupervised due to the high volume of people. But the staff is always very polite and kind to everyone. So this does not {in any way} affect me coming back... Because I'll definitely be back!

We love coming to this location out of the rest of them as they are friendly and food is usually always good and on point not like other locations that serve you less as we are paying for the food so we need to get what we paid for. So I would recommend this location for sure.

We picked up carryout on Friday evening....normally a family favorite the chicken lacked flavor and garlic bread was utterly disappointing. Need new places to cater food from In the loop.

This Nando's is amazing. They are consistently good and the employees are top-notch. There is free parking with validation for up to two hours. This location is conveniently located in the Roosevelt Collection, so you could easily make a day of it. Start off by catching a matinee movie at the theatre next door, grab some lunch at Nando's, and then shop until you drop at the stores, and finish off at Nando's again for dinner. You may think - Nando's for lunch AND dinner? YES. You won't regret it. I attended a Yelp event here last night and got to try out a wide variety of items on the menu. Everything was delicious. The chicken was incredibly well seasoned and moist. The peas were sweet and refreshing. The Cabernet was delightful and the hummus & pita gave the top Mediterranean places a run for their money. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO MORGAN - she's incredible & she deserves a huge raise because she provided the best customer service I'd ever received. Long story short, come check out some South African Peri-Peri Chicken. It's so good.

The first time I had Nando's was in Bath, England and I fell in love with it. Now that I've moved to Chicago, I'm so happy I can have it regularly! It isn't your typical restaurant. You find your own seat, and order at the counter. You get your own drink, utensils, sauce, etc., and when your food is ready, a server will bring it to you. I got the chicken thighs with lemon and herb seasoning and 2 sides of chips (fries) and garlic bread. My mom got the half chicken with medium seasoning and 1 side of Portuguese rice. Order: - Chicken thighs with lemon and herb seasoning and 2 sides of chips (fries) and garlic bread (5/5) - Half chicken with medium seasoning and 1 side of Portuguese rice (5/5) Pros: - Delicious food! - A lot of options to choose from ~ from cuts of meat to level of spicy - Very filling ~ If you get something like the chicken thighs, I'd recommend getting 2 sides - Great service ~ the people working at the counter were really nice and attentive Cons: - Kinda pricey ~ Our meal plus a soft drink was a little over $30 (what's with Chicago and all these sales taxes lol) Overall: - I highly recommend trying Nando's! Their food and service is amazing, and you won't regret trying it.

The best part of this chain is the sauces. I got a salad and it was mediocre. It started to taste better once I added all the spices sauces that Nando's provides. The location is convenient to my apartment and is right next to the theaters and shopping. You can park in the garage and get validated parking for 2 hrs free

First time coming to this location and the service was great and my food was on point next time I'm going to have to sit down and enjoy my food instead of on the run. The lady at the cashier was superb (wink wink)

This Nando Peri Peri is located on Delano Court just north of Roosevelt. Until fairly recently I had Nando Peri Peri bookmarked & was a blip on my radar to try their food. My wife is a healthcare worker and several Chicago area restaurants have been stepping up and providing meals for the first responders & healthcare workers w/Nando Peri Peri being one of them. HOW COOL IS THAT? Thanks to Nando Peri Peri we have been able to enjoy their food even if it is a carry out meal. For those of you that don't know (I didn't) Nando Peri Peri is a restaurant of Portuguese origin from Johannesburg South Africa. There are over 1,200 restaurants in 23 countries. The chicken is flame grilled & served w/a hot sauce made from the peri peri pepper, absolutely delicious. Today we were given a grilled chicken quarter w/a chicken breast & wing. The chicken was cooked to perfection grilled w/a little char to give a crispy wing tip, yet the breast was still moist, succulent & perfectly seasoned. Many times chicken breasts are over cooked & dry, this wasn't the case w/the chicken from Nando Peri Peri. You can order it mild or spicy. I love the orange peri peri sauce it adds an awesome flavor & just the right amount of kick. Even though I love fried chicken Nando Peri Peri's chicken is flame grilled so it's healthier then fried chicken. Would I recommend Nando Peri Peri, Absolutely. Will I eat there again Absolutely. I look forward to the days when the Covid epidemic goes away and we can sit down and eat in the restaurant. Thanks again to the healthcare workers, first responders, & Nando Peri Peri for providing meals to people that are so deserving.

The manager was attentive to our needs. She made our stay enjoyable. The cook made our meal presentation desirable. I will return based on our dining experience and well preparedness of our food entrées!

I looove a flavorful bird, and Nando's consistently delivers that for me. Their chicken is always extremely flavorful, and they even give diners the option of picking "the heat before you eat". Being someone who loves a good kick of spice with their meal this small detail really excites me lol. I typically order the spice levels: Medium, and Hot and I find both to be a nice heat without overwhelming the palette. If you're dining with younger children or anyone who doesn't prefer heat check out the Mango and Lime and add your own hot sauce at the table. (The sauces available at the service table are amazing don't overlook them!) The Macho Peas are my favorite as you get a little heat and a little mint which makes for a well balanced flavor profile. Pair all of this with a picture of Res Wine Sangria and you're in for a treat! Don't forget, order at the counter and display your numbers so that they know where to bring the deliciousness. *This was more than enough for 2 people Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Service 5/5 (the staff is always walking around to answer any questions or refill water) Overall experience 5/5

Better yet, who could argue with the gorgeous views from the ground that you receive when coming here for a sunset dinner before watching a movie right next door? That alone makes this one of the top dinner/movie spots in Chicago. It's a simple setup here inside the restaurant. You first get assigned a table to be seated, order your food up in front, and it comes delivered to you. Meals are paid for right at the beginning so you can feel free to sit back and enjoy the food without needing to worry about the payment. Nando's delivers some great Portuguese chicken and they were a lifesaver after my friend and I decided to not wait two hours for a bowl of ramen elsewhere #notworthit. But do you know what is- Nando's delicious chicken combo deal with two sides! For $16, you can feast upon some amazingly well seasoned chicken with your choice of sides. They've got some amazing fries and mashed potatoes here so don't be afraid to carb up with your meal. You can choose to enjoy your food with an array of sauces that you'll find scattered around the dining area. They have enough bottles where you don't have to feel bad for keeping one for yourself either. With great food and a lovely view, it's easy to end up here all the time before the movies. They've got a great system going and I am all on board for it continuing.

Terrible! Over priced Microwaved tasting food. Wings were a joke! I Couldn't even finish. Brussel Sprouts were awful! Never Ever again!

I missed my chance to go to this chain restaurant when I was in the UK, but I'm so glad that it came to Chicago because I finally got my chance. It's got a nice theme going on. There's a hostess that seats you and you order at the counter. That's weird to me that they aim for this hybrid of fancy sit down, but you still have to order yourself. It doesn't keep me from going to Nando's. It's just weird that they are a chain, but at the same time, the restaurant inside seems like it's trying to be fancier than a regular fast food joint. Again, it's not bothersome and definitely doesn't affect the taste of the food. They have playful names for their meals. I usually get the chicken sandwich called The Thigh and Mighty Sandwich with chips (that's fries for us, Americans). It's very moist and tender. Plus, the sauce always tastes good. I go for either the mango-lime or lemon and herb. Don't fear that you picked the wrong sauce since they stock all their sauces in bottles for you to use near the napkins and utensils and near the soda machines. The one downfall is that the sauces on the side for you to grab always seem to be gone. Someone always keeps the ketchup bottle at their table even if they aren't using it anymore. The last time I went it was around 9pm and the sauces were there, but this was definitely an off-time where it wasn't busy. It's at a nice location next to the Showplace Icon Theatre and a bunch of shops so you can stop in for a quick bite to eat on a day out. I've already been here 3 times so I'm a fan. I'm a sauce person and if you are too then this place is for you!

Came here recently for a Yelp event and I had a great time! The service was extremely courteous and caring, the drinks were a-flowing, and the food was delicious. Nando's is known for their PERi-PERi chicken, a dish that they marinate and season with sauces and PERi-PERi peppers. One has the flexibility to choose one's own preference for spice level and flavor. The chicken is very juicy and well flavored. Their sides are also well done and home-tasting. Dishes that include garlic bread, salads, and roasted veggies. Lastly, don't sleep on their desserts. I really liked their Naughty Natas, a Portuguese custard tart. In summary, the service was superb, the food was great, and I will be back soon
