Nannarella Gelato is exactly what you want on a warm day in Lisbon—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly well done. We tried the strawberry, lemon, vanilla, and mango, and each one delivered. The fruit flavors were vibrant and natural, with just the right balance of sweetness and acidity. The vanilla was creamy and smooth, a true classic done right. It’s an easy grab-and-go spot, but the quality is far from casual. Clean execution, high-quality ingredients, and a vibe that keeps you coming back. The kids were all smiles!

Google
This is definitely not the best ice cream in Lisbon. Very watery, not smooth nor silky ice cream. Very average taste. Wouldn’t recommend to go here. Worth trying if you’re walking by and don’t wanna go to a proper ice cream shop. For me it was waste of eaten calories :) So ice cream itself is 3* in my opinion. Service I didn’t like either. We were first in the shop picking our flavors. Then someone else local came in and they started serving him immediately, so then we had to wait much longer because he ordered a big box with different flavors. So I think it was quite rude of them. So the service is 1*

Google
Best ice cream in Lisbon 🍦😋 you have to at least try the Basil flavour when you’re there. I was skeptical at first but it’s honestly a really lovely flavour. I had chocolate and mint alongside it and it was a delight. You get great size scoops for what you pay and the staff are really lovely. Couldn’t ask for anything better 😊

Google
Cheesecake ice cream and loads of it crammed into a little pot. Takes the edge off a long day in the big city. Very good, very cheesecake.

Google
Hidden sport but good ice cream. With the small size you can choose 3 flavors. Basil was amaizing !!!!!

Google
I got a small tub of hazelnut and cheesecake icecream. The cheesecake was good with biscuity pieces and fruity sauce but the icecream just tasted of vanilla. However the hazelnut was beautiful, not too sweet with an aromatic real hazelnutty flavour. Would reccomend to anyone in Lisbon.

Google
best ice cream i had in europe. good prices and good portions. 6.30 euros for a giant cup. i recommend their strawberry and vanilla two top tier flavours

Honestly, this is some of the best gelato I’ve ever had in my life. We walked 30 minutes from our hotel just to try it, and we loved it so much that we went back the next night! We sampled a variety of flavors, including coconut, strawberry, basil, port & egg, and caramel. Our favorites were definitely the coconut and caramel—both were unbelievably rich and flavorful. One of the staff members mentioned that summers can get so busy that people wait in line for up to an hour. Fortunately, visiting Lisbon in February meant we had no trouble getting in. The flavors, freshness, and quality of ingredients completely blew us away. Everything is locally made, and you can taste the difference. A phenomenal experience—highly recommend to anyone who loves gelato or ice cream!

Yelp
Love the gelato so good!!! We tried the Pistachio, Ricotta & Walnut & Fig and Port Wine, all were so addicting and delicious and real. Please come to New York!

Yelp
Fantastic place - friendly service, delicious gelato. We SO appreciated the option to have multiple flavors!

Yelp
The staff here is very nice. The flavors weren't where we wanted them to be tho.. We wanted the gelato to have more of a punch of flavor but it was subtle. It was average gelato. Not overly impressed. You can buy large bins of the gelato and have it delivered. The cones were fresh.

Yelp
Nannarella is supposedly one of the best ice cream shops in Lisbon. I can't say if it's one of the best, given that I didn't go to that many in Lisbon. But I do think it was okay. All the flavors are listed on the board behind the counter. They have seasonal flavors and flavor of the day as well. I couldn't decide which flavor to go with and the person taking my order was nice enough for me to sample a few before I decided on one. I went with the strawberry flavor. Not as creamy or smooth as some of the gelatos I've tried in other places. There were also some ice crystals. I tasted more ice crystals than the actual strawberry flavor. It did still give that bit of refreshing taste though.

Yelp
F-ing obsessed. Get the Oreo with cream on top. I definitely came back here a few times and I'm sad I won't get to eat it again. I also got the pistachio but the Oreo was so good, I'm mad I even wasted time on the pistachio. I heard somewhere that this was on some Netflix show hence the long line. It goes pretty quick though and is definitely worth the wait. If you like ice cream/gelato, definitely pay a visit to Nannarella.

Yelp
Not far from Praça das Flores Gelateria Nannarella has been serving guests since 2013, their combination of creativity and fair prices building a loyal fanbase including many who consider it the best Gelateria in Lisbon. Spatula-served in cups or Cones, the small space with no seating purporting a lack of artificial colors or flavors, it is from quick yet friendly staff that products are procured, first bites suggesting good technique and less Sugar than many. More Ice Cream than Gelato, their "lab" visible adjacent the kitchen, credit is due for creativity in flavors like Pastel de Nata and Port Zabaglione, the former complete with bits of Crust, though Fig had some serious ice crystals as if it had thawed and refrozen.

Yelp
Large scoops, kind service, and good flavours all around. A perfect treat for a hot day!

Yelp
Gelato was good. Line was about an hour wait and was not getting shorter. Wide range of flavors.

Yelp
So delicious and flavorful!! Not as sweet as New York ice cream but you can taste every bit out of it.

Yelp
Amazing gelato! The Oreo was one of the best I've ever had. We also had coffee and chocolate which were great. Long line at night but moves quickly.

Yelp
Creamy delicious gelato - got a large bowl with 3 flavors (hazelnut, tiramisu, coconut) topped with whip cream. Small place with a line out the door, but the line moves quickly, and there is a park nearby/down the hill where you can sit to enjoy after getting your gelato.

Yelp
We lucked into having this gelato shop a few blocks from our hotel and it was a highlight! Tiny storefront and there's usually a small line that moves quickly. Good variety of flavors, with those featuring local ingredients being called out. Prices are amazing and the small is very generous - plus you can get three flavors in it! Many places only allow one for a small so this is a huge win. Plus free fresh whipped cream if you desire (I tried this once but then decided it was too much ;p). Of the flavors I had dark chocolate was far away the winner, raspberry was great, basil was refreshing and unique and mango was disappointingly weak. Friendly service too! A real winner.

Yelp
Thanks to the Lisbon episode of Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix and Yelp, we enjoyed a meal across the street at Wurst, a slice of pizza nearby, and then two small cups, with a total of four different flavors, of gelato for dessert. I fell in love with pastel de nata on our vacation to Portugal and had at least two a day, but this little shop is a must visit to satisfy your sweet tooth! A grab and go storefront, there are only two little stools, but with good weather and little traffic there isn't any reason not to spill out onto the street. The raspberry was hands down our favorite, but don't let that keep me from being totally into the Oreo and caramel flavors too. Don't sleep on the whipped cream too. The flavor here is concentrated for maximum smiles, so even a small cup will leave you happy. Enjoy places that give you tiny spoon, as it makes you eat slow and savor every bite.

Yelp
So where do you go when you need to cut all that buttery goodness of the ten egg tarts you just consumed? You go to Nannarella for gelato- of course! We had a couple of different flavors which were both quite good which we consumed in their tiny sit-down area. The gentleman who served us was not so friendly but this was more than compensated by the excellent frozen dessert. So what's my go to? Stracciatella- glad you asked... Their version is very good.

Yelp
After dinner at Shun (see my review), you're going to walk past Nannarella heading back to your hotel, so why not stop in and let the young, English speaking staff serve you some of the best gelato you've ever had for $3 (actually it was $2 one night, but $3 the next for a small with 2 flavors, so I think the price varies a bit). Can vouch for the dark chocolate, the pear, the salted caramel and the coffee.

Yelp
This was the best gelato experience of my life. I got the ricotta with fig and walnut, the basil, and the egg yolk and port. It was all so good. I cannot recommend this place more.

Yelp
Coffee and dark chocolate was delicious. A little out of the way at night but worth the trip.

Yelp
Great gelato, both texture and flavors were excellent. I got a grande with basil, almond, and strawberry. Enjoyed it very much!

Yelp
All gelato is not created equal. There are places with not very good gelato, places with good to great gelato and then there is Nannarella. Their gelato is soooo freaking good!!! Dark Chocolate, Strawberry, Cherry, Pistachio, you name it, it'll be delicious here. I came to Nannarella my last night in Lisbon, had two scoops in a cone and as soon as I finished, I came right back and got three more scoops! I've never done that before, anywhere. The owner is super cool too. He even told me I'd want more after the 1st two scoops. The cherry had whole cherries in it, which is just awesome. It's places like this that has me wishing scientists would hurry up already with teleportation so I could come here all the time. I highly highly highly recommend coming here for some extraordinary gelato in Lisbon made and served by a cool staff and owner.

Yelp
Ive tried many gelato in my life, I cant say that it is the best one in Lisbon, but for sure worth to visit and to try. They have interesting selection of tastes. I have tried porto wine one and with basil, both had an amazing and strong taste. Totally recommended.

Yelp
Yum! This place makes really delicious, creamy, rich gelato. The nocciola (hazelnut) is so nutty and perfect.

Yelp
This place has some excellent gelato - I had the pistachio and chocolate but they also have style creative ones - its quite a wonderful street and well worth a visit - the owner is an Italian immigrant and very friendly

Yelp
...freely, as men strive for right. ...purely, as they turn from praise - Elizabeth Barrett Browning I am a huge fan of gelato. I routinely seek out excellent gelato options in different cities, and frequent a lovely spot voted as one of the best in the US by several different sources. I say all that to say that I think Gelateria Nannarella may be the absolute best I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. If you live in Lisbon, take advantage of this!...If you travel to Lisbon bookmark this spot and make a point of stopping by. While at Gelateria Nannarella order whatever flavors stand out and sound good. By the time I shared with another Yelper we had tried 6 different flavors and they were all incredible. This is world-class gelato--beautiful in texture and taste, so follow your heart...or even splurge a little. The menu changes with daily offerings...so come more than once if you're in the area for an extended time. Several of the menu items were translated into two languages and as such we were able to identify what they were, but the staff was happy to translate the others making our choices a little more difficult since so many sounded great. There was a short line and wait, but it was not as long as I expected and moved fairly quickly. I thought that the portions might be on the smaller size since they are popular enough to have a line, but this was not the case. The portions provided a better value than what we are used to in the states. I relish the opportunity to return.

Yelp
This was a nice place to visit however I was expecting more. I think the customer service was lacking. The people at the counter were not as friendly as I would have expected. Very good flavor choice. The location is pretty small and can get crowded. Overall it's a nice place to visit but not a must stop.

Yelp
Omigosh. I loved this place. Some of the best gelato I have ever tasted in and outside of Italy. Faves were lemon, coconut and chocolate (with fresh cream on top). Super authentic ingredients that shined through and not too sweet. We went every single day during our trip.

Yelp
Love that they have flavor offerings that change daily, as well as their core flavors that are usually available. Had the plum today with zabaione. They went perfectly together, neither one being too sweet. The plum was exquisite. So glad I was able to have since plum season is so short. The young woman working there today was very helpful, since menu is written in Portuguese. Her English is exceptional and she explained which flavors are available which days, as well as allowed several tastes of things I'd never had before.

Yelp
Who can say no to ice cream. This was also close to where we were staying and the menus changed a bit each time we visited. They had some interesting flavours, such as port, baobab, milk flower and persimmon. The ice cream itself was lovely and I found this was much better than the ice cream we had at Santini as it was less sweet.

Yelp
Wow, just wow. This is some of the best Italian-style gelato I've had in the world. In terms of comparisons, I would say it compares most similarly to Grom from Italy. The gelato is smooth, creamy, and dense with no hint of ice crystals. I tried a number of flavours during my stay (don't ask how many times I came), but the favourites for me were the Pistachio followed by the Fior di Latte (the blank canvas upon which all great gelatos are built). All their effort is in the gelato, which means they're a bit weak on the cones, which are standard commercial ones...it's OK, I'll forgive them. Cup or cone: Small €2, Medium €2.50, Large €3...so cheap for great quality. Try not to come during a heatwave on a weekend, as the lines will be long. Also do not order a large in a cone, or you will look stupid trying to lap it up before it melts. Afterward, take your gelato to the benches by parliament or the park up the street and enjoy.

Yelp
They pistachio ice cream and the mango sorbet were delicious. Best ice cream in Lisbon! Seasonal flavours and specials every day

Yelp
solid. little more frozen. up to 3 flavors (many classic options) in a small copo, which is nice. fior de basil interesting.

Benjamin S.

Yelp
Best Gelato I've ever had. However, I have to deduct a star. The staff was not very welcoming and was rude. They only have certain flavors on certain days which we did not know and they acted like we should know... Did not feel comfortable being an American inside there which is a shame.

Yelp
The gelato is phenomenal and they give you a lot for the price. The first time my wife and I accidentally ordered two cones and it was too much. Now we share a medium and it is still kind of a stretch to eat it all. There are many gelato places in Italy which are worse than this.

Denise F.

Yelp
Very nice little place. Gelato good and put whipped cream on top. Friendly and translated the flavor into English for us. Very add small inside.
