A True Taste of Rome at Nannarella! Dining at Nannarella was one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and that lively Roman atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. We ordered the straccetti, coda alla vaccinara, and tiramisu, and every dish was absolutely spectacular. The straccetti were tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — simple yet bursting with freshness. The coda alla vaccinara was a revelation: rich, hearty, and slow-cooked to perfection, with meat so soft it practically melted off the bone. It’s the kind of traditional Roman dish that reminds you why this city’s cuisine is so special. And the tiramisu — pure heaven. Light, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was the ideal sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. The server (named MD) was friendly and attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. The atmosphere — full of laughter, good wine, and the aroma of amazing food — made the whole experience feel authentic and joyful. Nannarella is everything you hope for in a Roman trattoria: genuine food, warm people, and unforgettable flavor. Highly recommended — we can’t wait to come back! 🇮🇹🍷🍝

The food was ok, but I expected more! Pizza was light, pasta with pesto was too greasy. Meatballs were a good choice so I would recommend, and turkey fried breast was a large portion. Espresso was good, so it makes our meal complete. The place was crowded, little room between the tables, the staff is not too polite, but since it was during busy hours, I can understand. The food arrived quickly. We didn’t wait for the table.

Google
This place is severely overhyped. It is not bad, by any means, but it is mediocre at best. First of all, be aware that for dinner there is at least a 15-20 minute wait time. The entirety of our meal there were at least 6-8 people waiting to get in. Secondly, the food is not bad, as mentioned before. It was just nice enough. The calamari was okay, the fried balls where underwhelming, and Tiramisu was nice. Everything we tried seemed to lack some seasoning. The staff was constantly busy, but on top of their things, which was good to see. The cocktails are all on point. You really get the bang for your buck, as there is a fair amount and a strong splash of alcohol. Overall it was nice, but literally the middle of the road Itallian food.

Google
Very average meal, based on the reviews we expected better. Pasta was well cooked but very salty, service was good. Ambience very loud with barely any room between tables, packed in like sardines. We would have been more disappointed if we would have had to line up for a table.

Google
Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, but what truly made our evening special was our waiter, Aladin. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, almost like we were dining among friends. His recommendations for both the food and the wine were spot-on and completely matched our taste. The service (thanks to Aladin!) was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and genuine. The food is amazing, but the experience with him made it even better. Highly recommended!

Google
We had a great meal here! Despite the place being quite crowded, we were lucky to find a table since it was just the two of us — I imagine it gets much harder for larger groups. The experience was truly unique, especially if you’re looking to enjoy delicious pasta and pizza. I definitely recommend this place! 🍝🍕✨

Google
We had a lovely dinner at Nannarella on a Wednesday evening. We arrived around 8:30pm and were told, we had to wait for about 30 min but I think it was less than that, or at least it felt shorter. The restaurant manager was friendly and helpful. Also the waiter was attentive. The food was good and filling, we only ordered 3 pinse and a salad for four but didn’t managed to eat it all. I would definitely recommend it for an easy going dinner!

Google
We went in around 7:00 pm, and just a few groups after us the restaurant was already full. Every dish we tried was truly delicious — not a single miss. No wonder it’s such a popular place! The highlight was definitely the tiramisu, which completely changed my idea of what tiramisu could be. By the time we left, there was an incredible crowd waiting outside — hard to believe so many people for just one restaurant! I highly recommend going before 7:00 pm to get a seat.

Yelp
Perfect food. Our service was quick and efficient. I 100% recommend. I hope they serve food like this in heaven. The calamari and lasagna was to die for. Ali the server was fantastic.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick, tasty bite! We tried the lasagna, meatballs, and salad - all were delicious and hit the spot. It was busy when we visited, so service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. We'd definitely come back for another quick and satisfying meal!

Yelp
We went here based on the recommendation of our taxi driver. The restaurant seemed to be quite busy around 2:30 in the afternoon. However, our wait for a table for 2 was only about 10 minutes. We were seated outdoors, near the entrance under a tarp. After briefly reviewing the menu, my friend decided on pizza with a ginger ale and I chose the gorgo salad with water. It was a bed of arugula topped with smoked salmon, feta cheese, walnuts and orange slices. I guess it didn't come with salad dressing, however, for me this salad didn't really need dressing. The ambiance was chill and the weather was beautiful and sunny. It felt like a scene out of a book. Our Server was decent and there were no issues with our order. My friend did question whether or not her pork sausage was raw or cooked. I think was just a matter of appearance in cooking styles as we are accustomed to browning meat. Both meals were good. The total was 34 euros including 2 euros for water and 2 euros gratuity automatically added to the bill. I would dine there again and recommend dining here at least once.

Yelp
This place has earned some social media clout that has resulted in a LONG line on a nightly basis. Personally, I think there are so many better places that I would choose over this. We started with the focaccia. This was just ok. One piece has a good amount of olive oil, but the others were dry and largely flavorless. I had the cacio e pepe. I loved the tonnarelli noodles, but the flavor of the dish wasn't fantastic. Out of all the times we ordered cacio e pepe, this was my least favorite. My husband had the amatriciana which he said was good but not great. Additionally, just to forwarn you, the bathroom is tiny and disgusting. There is liquid (hopefully water...but probably not) everywhere and no toilet seats. Overall, this place is just overhyped. Are you probably going to have a decent meal? Sure! Is it going to be worth waiting for hours in line? Not in my mind.

Yelp
Everything we had was outstanding! The carbonara was unlike anything we have in the United States aka it's the real deal. Incredibly rich so definitely good for sharing. The meatballs and garlic bread also were fantastic. The lasagne was some of the best we've ever had! Service was wonderful. I definitely would come back.
google avatar

Shari D.

Yelp
So nice we went there twice! The best carbonara we had in Rome, and their cacio e pepe meatballs are perfect. First time the service was mid (admittedly it was an odd time), but our second visit our waiter Andrea was top notch!

Yelp
Very busy but attentive with tightly spaced tables. Arrive early! The lasagna was very good, but the rigatoni pesto is the best pesto I've ever had! If you don't like crowds, we'll stay out of Trasteveria completely! But if you don't mind them, enjoy & MANGIA!

Yelp
After spending the day walking the streets of Rome, I found myself in Trastevera, exhausted and hungry. I stumbled into this unfamiliar restaurant kind of assuming I had settled since I hadn't done any research into restaurants on this side of town but in the end I was pleasantly surprised with incredible service, good wine and plate of lasagna I enjoyed deeply. The restaurant is simple and friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating. In the end I was happy to have stumbled upon this place.

Yelp
A beautiful awesome day amazing people of the world. Today we have another segment of eff around and find out in different cities of the world. Which brings us to Rome, Italy. What's a trip to Rome without some pasta right? Welcome to Nannarella, somewhat of a popular joint in the Trastevere area. When we arrived and there was quite the line outside the door. We still snagged a seat none the less. First is the Abbacchio, roasted lamb with potatoes. I adore the lamb, it's perfectly seasoned and it's fall of the bone tender. The greens and the potatoes are a great match. 7.8/10 Second we have the Carciofo, which is the fried artichokes. Everything is crispy, perfect amount of salt on the veg. I highly recommend this dish if you've never had it before. 8.9/10 Third is a Caccio e Peppe. The simplest of the pasta dishes. Which translates to cheese and pepper. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. This plate can get a 9/10 Last but not the least is the Meatballs Caccio e Peppe. The meatballs are excellent. Seasoned very well and smothered with a caccio e peppe sauce was pretty effing good. 8.4 out of 10. The ambiance is family style. It's a bit rustic, but the food speaks volume. If you're ever in Rome, do give this spot a go at it and let me know what you think. If you like discovering new places to smash, hit that follow button. Share this review with a smash mode buddy and thank you so much for watching! I love you! Mwah!

Yelp
Food here is traditional Italian Osteria. It's out of the way which is great because you know you are getting real authentic Italian. When go to the Basilica Di Santa Maria this is a must go. Service is very prompt but relax. Opt for outside seating. Ambiance is very old school home town vibe.

Yelp
Great service and food. I got the lasagna. Not the best I had in Rome, but definitely near the top. Cool spot right off a happening square.

Yelp
134 reviews and 4.5 star rating as of the writing of this review and it's well deserved!! While abroad pulled up my trusty yelp app and quickly found this place. Thanks to Yelp community the reviews, pics showed this place as a winner...ding, ding.. Got seated quickly as it was still a bit early. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and quick. The food was delivered timely and the experience was just excellent. Would definitely come back during my stay in Roma..

Yelp
We came here based on reviews. While the food was good, we were very disappointed by the service and staff. I came here with my pregnant wife and a 2-year old son. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated, in a non-smoking room clearly marked as such. However, either due to poor ventilation, staff leaving the window open to the outside smoker area, or taking smoking breaks themselves, the entire room reeked of headache-inducing amount of cigarette smoke. And we weren't alone who thought so, several nearby tables near us were also talking about cigarette smoke and looking around who was smoking. When my pregnant wife ordered non-alcoholic beer, the waiter brought her random ALCOHOLIC beer which was not even the same brand. It took a while to get anyone to come up to us to explain the situation after which the waiter replaced the beer. Service in general was very slow, and the waiter completely forgot when we asked for the check, we were sitting at the table for a good 30 mins (with each of us inhaling another cigarette's worth of second-hand smoke) until I asked for it again. The tip was "forced" on us, already included in the receipt, which explains their nonchalant attitude towards customers.

Yelp
We came at 11:30am and were seated right away. Our server was really nice and friendly. We got suppli (10,00), amatriciana (12,00), cacio e pepe (10,00), artichoke (8,50) and tiramisu (7,00). This was a lot of food for 2 people but we wanted to try everything. The wine is a bit expensive but we had to get wine to accompany our meal. The suppli was so good. It comes with 3 different types. We loved the one that had extra tomato sauce flavour inside. The cheese inside was the perfect touch. The artichoke was okay. Very crispy on the outside and moist on the inside also very soft on the inside but I wouldn't order it again The amatriciana and the cacio e pepe were served in the cutest pans. This pasta was the first pasta we had in Italy so we were floored by the flavour and the texture. It wasn't overly salty and the portion was huge. We couldn't finish everything since we had already eaten artichokes and 3 suppli balls each so they offered us to go boxes for the leftover pasta. We also got tiramisu - it was strong on the alcohol flavour but not on the coffee flavour. I would definitely come back to have more suppli and pasta

Jim R.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended, but I was somewhat disappointed and would not recommend it. It seems highly overrated on Yelp. The lamb I ordered was way overcooked, dry, tough, and tasteless. My wife liked her spaghetti dish, but the sauce tasted pretty average to me. The place was packed and extremely noisy. They don't take reservations. We only had about 15min wait to get a table, but when we left the line was at least 3 if not 4 times as long as. On the plus side, their menu is in multiple languages, the service was good, and they can accommodate good allergies.

Yelp
I was so excited to make it to Nannarella after reading rave reviews and seeing instagram posts on it and was sadly disappointed. Super cute and quaint covered patio. The staff and servers were very welcoming and service was fast (for Italy). The noodles in the pasta were thick and yummy, as was the sauce... but the fried artichoke was bland, literally tasted like the deep fryer had old oil in it and the guanciale in the Amatriciana was mostly fatty and not cooked crispy at all. Our pan had huge pieces of fat left in it. $8.50 Peronis ...Pasta prices were comparable to other places but other menu items like drinks and bread were very pricey compared to other places nearby. Maybe we didn't order correctly but there are many other restaurants to choose from in Trastavere and I think I'd do that next time. Maybe we didn't order correctly but I was underwhelmed and wished we'd gone elsewhere

Nastaran K.

Yelp
Tonight, at one of the best restaurants in Rome, we enjoyed the finest dishes with excellent service from Mr. Parsa. The food at this restaurant was outstanding. Be sure to try the tiramisu dessert and the bread served with rosemary and olive oil as an appetizer. The service was exceptional, especially from Mr. Parsa, who was very friendly, highly knowledgeable, and helped us choose the best dishes and drinks. If we visit Rome again, we will definitely return to this fantastic restaurant. Try Carbonara pasta and Funghi Pizza

Yelp
Waiter suggested the house wine so I had two glasses. Then he came back and tried to say he offered a different wine that was double the price. Trastevere is poppin but the line here moves really quick. Food was good.

Yelp
I came here last year on holiday and returned again this year. The pasta was so delicious I had to return! Homemade pasta, lovely atmosphere, great neighborhood, specialty family recipes, like the pasta nannarella (think puttenesca without anchovies and black olives, but eggplant and green olives instead, producing a much less bitter and more creamy sweet and delicious dish!). Very delicious! This year we also tried the cod balls and potatoes and chickory, all so delicious! I also appreciate how the staff is able to do line control for the line that collects outside the restaurant. They allow you to select inside or outside when it's your turn.

R S.

Yelp
Food and service were great but we were so hot inside and they supposedly had air conditioning but you couldn't even tell. Would really think a restaurant of this caliber would have real a/c. During the summer it's ridiculous!

Yelp
This restaurant immediately caught our eye with its 4.7 Google review and nice location on a piazza. We walked in and were seated with after a short 10 minute wait. By then, it felt like being ushered into the dining room of a restaurant at Epcot. From the menu translated in 4 languages to the cheeky-but-traditional Osteria decor, everything looked performative and indicative that we had walked right into a tourist trap. Everything we ordered wasn't bad, but rather disappointing: dry focaccia, the worst cut of pancetta slides in the Amatriciana, mid drinks... The best dish was the Artichoke. Service was friendly and extremely fast which sorts of goes against the idea of slowing down for culinary enjoyment and togetherness. Overall there are thousands of restaurants in Rome and I'm not sure why one would willingly go to such a mid place.
google avatar

Kemi M.

Yelp
Waiting was pretty quick, especially being in a party of 4. I guess they have separate lines for tables of twos and that takes a bit longer. The food here was absolutely delicious. Big portions, reasonably priced and great service. We got calamari and focaccia bread to start. Both were nice and hot and fresh. I got the oxtail in tomato sauce, so tender!! You can tell they know how to cook. The pastas were unreal too! No one in my party managed to finish their meal. I would definitely recommend coming to this place!
google avatar

Midori G.

Yelp
I had the most amazing meal of carbonara and a tuna salad for 20€. I was so full and could have gone with just the pasta, but wanted some veggies as well. The service was just okay, but I didn't mind. The pasta was to die for at this price. Would highly recommend. I went in at 5pm on a Monday and was able to get a table for myself immediately. When I left there was a line to get a table. Definitely a popular spot.

Yelp
It's my own fault I sat down to eat at 5:30pm in the middle of summer. But I was wandering through Trastevere in the 95 degree heat, saw the already burgeoning line at Tonnarello down the block and said, Jeff, if you wanna try some of this famous Trastevere pasta, it's now or never! I started with a too-quickly melting-in-the-sun Aperol Spritz (a little cloying) and crispy Jerusalem artichokes (lovely, exploding into pieces like shrapnel off my plate). The sun was growing somehow hotter and angrier still, but I bravely soldiered onto the tonnarelli con polpette cuz I hadn't yet polpetted in Rome. At this point, the manager inexplicably has his staff remove the awning - the only thing shielding us intrepid patio diners from the blazing rays of hell. I had to ask to move to another table because I couldn't bear the heat anymore. As I left to find relief in the cooling form of some local gelato, a waiter offered me a parting shot of amaretto. It felt like the perfect capstone to an overly heavy experience as I waddled off to cooler regions across the Tiber.
google avatar

Minly L.

Yelp
A line at the door...understandable... Inside is super small, quaint, and honestly what I'd imagine an old Italian kitchen would look like-warm lights and lots of cool cookware. This spot really has a knack at making AMAZING pasta and other Anti-pasta. The service is not super stellar, but our waiter, Lucca, was nice and pleasant. Really the food is the main star here. All of it was super DELICIOUS-artichoke antipasta, Nannarella pasta, Cacio Pepe, and Carbonara. ALSO the focaccia bread!!
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
Great casual spot. The food was really good. Cacio E Pepe and the Lasagna Bolognese were phenomenal. Everything on the menu is very affordable.
google avatar

Nima B.

Yelp
Fantastic food with great service. We had a great server name Afsaneh. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Lucas R.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Took a while to get a table because they don't take reservations but it was worth it.
google avatar

Shannen B.

Yelp
Seems like a tourist trap but absolutely not. A bit out of the way in Trastevere but worth the trip. Best calamari I've ever had. Lightly breaded and so tender. Cacio e Pepe was a bit too cheesy but Al dente. Loveee the oxtail in tomato-based sauce. Comes with a cheesy mashed potato concoction (not entirely sure if this is actually mashed potato ) Service was fabulous and so quick! Barely waited after we ordered

Lisa G.

Yelp
The owner waited on us. Very nice gentleman. The food was good. The Resturant was so cute. The food came hot and looked appetising. I have had better but this was good. The experience was to be remembered.
google avatar

Yelp
Between 2/3 stars on this one tbh but rounding up because the vibes were exceptional, their patio seating is really nice, and service was good. Things came out very quickly, especially my wine which I appreciated lol. I had a glass of the lambrusco which was nice and refreshing. I ordered the side salad with tomatoes (€6) which ended up being an alarmingly large salad which was mostly tomatoes with some sad lettuce. There was no dressing, just poor-quality balsamic and olive oil on the side. It was honestly shocking. But I needed something healthy to balance with the carbs which it did achieve. I ordered the Cacio e pepe which was a very generous portion for a mere €10. It was a bit more Al dente than I would have liked and a bit lacking in salt but overall wasn't bad and certainly not given the price. Bread service (€2.50) can be skipped, it was mediocre at best and the olive oil I was using to liven it up was taken away after I finished my salad. It wasn't terrible but I'm sure there are better places - I would skip.

Yelp
First time in Rome and after walking around the piazza and looking at all the restaurants Nanarella called us in. We ate inside with the amazing high ceiling and large chandelier, but I was in love with the massive wood cabinet! Staff was friendly and attentive. On to the food. I needed to try a pizza and was taught by Albi our waiter the way they make it with 3 different flours, oh boy how yummy. Albi was really helpful and guided us through the menu. The pizza had anchovies and was so delicious. For apps we got the fried artichoke and the best darn calamari I've ever had. I'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Mark O.

Yelp
One of the busiest osteria's in the Trastevere and for good reason. The food was terrific and our server was excellent I can tell you that we would certainly visit again!

Sarah M.

Yelp
We loved this spot! It's busy on a beautiful Friday night! We waited about 15 minutes to have an outside table. We loved being able to hear the music from the band nextdoor. (Or they may have been street performers) our server was very friendly and recommended the carbonara pasta and a pizza. We also ordered the house red wine, which was absolutely delicious. At the end of our meal, we ordered the tiramisu, which came as a deconstructed Tiramisu, but we loved it! This is a great place to eat!!!

Bob L.

Yelp
This was a revelation and wonderful surprise! We found this place only because it was around the corner from our hotel and after the flight in, we were too tired to go anywhere else. As it turns out, we found a restaurant that MAJORLY outshined one that Rick Steves says is one of the best in the city! You may have seen a restaurant called Enzo's on his TV show - it's known for some of the best fried artichokes and Carbonara in the city. In fact, people line up for 30 minutes to an hour to wait for it. Yeah, it's good, but there you're sitting nearly on top of other patrons, with a cranky staff and a bathroom worse than a porta-potty. Enter Nannarella. My family has eaten there and at Enzo's at least three times each and there is NO DOUBT that Nannarella is, BY FAR, the superior experience. My daughter and I are artichoke fiends and we are sure the artichokes at Nannarella are, hands down, tastier than Enzos... PLUS, you get twice as many for at a much lower price! As for the famed Carbonara... sorry Enzo, but Nannarella wins again. It's flawless! I also heartily recommend the lamb and saltimbocca dishes. Additionally, unlike, Mr. Steve's top restaurant, Nannarella won't make you wait in line for an hour for a truly outstanding meal. In addition, the staff, Kadry and Carlos in particular, are SUPER friendly and accommodating, there's also plenty of space and elbow room at Nanarella and the bathrooms are clean and elegant. This place is everything we had hoped to find in a fine Roman restaurant and I can't recommend it, or wait to return there enough. Oh, did I mention that it's at least 25% cheaper than Enzo??? No contest.
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
Decent food and service. Carbonara was a slightly too salty, artichoke was not great, tiramisu was just ok. Was seated and served very quickly, nice staff. Bathrooms were a mess. 91 degrees in July and only fans, no A/C.
google avatar

Nancy H.

Yelp
This restaurant is constantly busy, and for a good reason. The food here is very good. Hubby had the Napoli pizza, and I had the pasta with mussels. We also shared the fried calamari, which was absolutely amazing: some of the best we've had. The service wasn't great, but it was probably because they were so busy. They are located on a busy piazza, and there is often a line waiting for seating. But the turnover is pretty quick because they had a lot of seating. Recommend, but be prepared to wait.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Partner thought this had the best amatriciana pasta. The sauce was his favorite here. I got the meatballs in oxtail sauce and carbonara. The meatballs were super soft and tender, it also had oxtail mixed into it. The carbonara was nice. Their pasta definitely tasted hand made, it was a bit squiggly and thick. The guanciale they used was a bit thicker cut than I'd like and itw as super crispy cooked. We came at like 9 and still had a half hour wait. The line is huuuuge so prepare yourself.

Teddy K.

Yelp
Incredible experience all around. Food service and atmosphere. Highly recommend Nannarella
google avatar

Yiqiu W.

Yelp
Came around 19:30 and waited about 15-20min to get seated. Not a long wait since they have a dedicated line just for one or two people. We ordered the lasagna and mussel pasta. The lasagna is simple and good. I can say it's much better than the Costco one since that's the only one I have ate. The mussel one is somehow too salty that destroys the whole dish. The pasta is well cooked but the flavor is just over salty.
google avatar

jeannette h.

Yelp
We were so hungry that I forgot to take pics, but the food was really good! Worth the wait! Staff was super friendly as well and it seems to be in a less touristic part of town. I had the meatballs in oxtail sauce...sooooooo good! Hubby had the carbonara and the kids had the pesto, which was also delicious.

Amelia H.

Yelp
Little bit overhyped... pesto pasta was undercooked and over salted. Came here partially because it was affordable but this was probably worth 7€ rather than 12

Angelina P.

Yelp
Delicious! Came back for the meatballs again and again! White sauce is so eloquent and the seaweed is a super nice touch. Meat is great quality. Totally recommend! Carbonara too

skip

Yelp
Salmon salad excellent. Saltiboca excellent tender veal. Highly suggest this restaurant

Yelp
Florence, how could you offer us such a poor experience of authentic Italian food!!! We waited in line for 30 minutes to eat here since it had great reviews on Google and tourists alike. Plus, I thought there were many locals here, but they could be from another city in Italy and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We were duped and I 200% would never eat here again even if someone paid me to do so. Now, they get one staff for service because staff is very nice and accommodating and service comes with a smile. Also, we sat outside in the fresh yet smoky air so we could enjoy the sights at night and people watch. They gave us bread while we waited. I don't remember if we got appetizers. If we did they were unremarkable. Now, we ordered items on the menu that we all could share and get a taste each other's entrees. Yuck, yuck, and yuck! We ordered the Cacio e Pepe, which is a favorite of mine, but their version is quite heavy with the butter, too much (yes too much) parmesan cheese, and hardly any pepper. I like a nice bit of shaved truffle of mine but a las it wasn't an option. It should have been deliciously simple, but I wanted to spit it in my napkin. Since I'm a lady I just swallowed a little bit of Coca Cola after that bite. Grosssssssssss. We all agreed it was pretty bad. We also ordered lasagna because it is iconic Italian dish. I am not lying or exaggerating when I say I have had better lasagna from the microwaveable Trader Joes lasagna. They should just order Trader Joes lasagna and sell that with extra cheese or sauce on it because theirs is dis-gus-ting! We all took a bite and our faces couldn't hide our disgust. Not to mention it was lukewarm some parts. Gross! We also ordered Italian style oxtail in a red sauce over mashed potatoes and veggies. Of course us Caribbean girls love oxtail! I have learned, however, to only eat the Caribbean version. They were over salted, not seasoned well, not fall off the bone, and some parts were luke warm others cold. It got a big ol' yuck from me! Grosssssssss. They took it off our bill. The funniest part of this disaster is they asked us if we wanted dessert to which we emphatically said no. Won't be back. SIde note: They give lollipops to everybody who dined there. Weird but I definitely ate mine. Best part of meal.

Yelp
Not a huge fan of this place. We were flagged down to eat here by one of the employees, and we were pretty hungry so we thought why not. Worst complaint of the experience was definitely the service. Our server stopped by one time to our table to take our order (which he didn't stop by until 15 minutes after we sat). We never saw him again. At the end of the meal we flagged down another employee who I thought was maybe the manager or owner and asked for our check. He said of course and then proceeded to leave the restaurant patio and have a cigarette instead of getting us the check. It wasn't particularly busy so I thought that was odd. He either forgot, or ignored us. After another 15 minutes we had to flag down another employee for the check. Onto the food, The good: We got a salad to share and it was pretty good. It was a nice healthy start to our meal. My husband got the lasagna. Although it was a very small portion, it was delicious. Definitely the star of our experience, and the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. The people next to us got a lasagna as well and their portion was twice the size... other than that though it was great! Definitely would recommend this dish. The bad: I got the carbonera. I'm not a huge fan of bacon so I asked for No bacon and they said it wasn't possible. I figured it was mixed into the sauce which was fine I said that was okay. But when it came all the bacon was added on top so I'm not sure why it couldn't be omitted. This was the saltiest food I have ever tried in my life. It was inedible. I would have complained to our waiter and asked for something else but he never came by to check. What's worse, is that after we left, I looked this restaurant up to see other reviews and they have at least one other recent review complaining about how salty the carbonera is so it wasn't just one batch gone wrong. When it was time to pay the check, the employee picked up my bowl full of carbonera and didn't ask if there was anything wrong or why I didn't eat it. They came back with the check and had us pay for a dinner I didn't eat.... Not sure if this is maybe more custom in Italy or other parts of the world, but working in the food and beverage industry myself in the states, I would never make someone pay for something they didn't eat. I'd offer them something else or a discount at the least, if not removing the whole item. The bread was so hard and tasted stale. We did notice the bread seems to be harder in Italy in general, at least all of the places we ate. But this one was so dry and hard we couldn't eat it either.

Yelp
We loved Nannarella, service was fantastic and food was delicious. It is surprising how much you can eat and not feel stuffed here. Well worth the 30 minute wait for a table.

Yelp
This restaurant got great reviews, and it was packed when we went there for lunch. I'm scratching my head as to why. My husband had a pasta called Nannarella, with eggplant, tomato, and caper sauce. It was okay but nothing to rave about. I wanted a salad, so I ordered the arugula with smoked salmon and walnuts. It didn't have a dressing but they bring olive oil and balsamic to the table. It was huge but somehow it just didn't come together. The service was brisk. Are the raves because the portions are so large? Did we simply order the wrong dishes? Or is it just a tourist trap? A lot of people were speaking Italian. Oh well.

Yelp
This was our favorite restaurant in Rome! It is very busy and there was a line but don't let it scare you, it went quickly. Highly recommend the carbonara and the meatballs in oxtail sauce, so delicious!
