Nantahala National Forest

What an absolutely gorgeous area to visit and hike. The scenery is breathtaking and the amount of gorgeous views is unmatched. Pull off one of the many areas on the Blue Ridge Parkway and take a few moments to take in your surroundings. You won't be sorry!!

Piny knob trail was wonderful. Canopied path made it very comfortable. Not too steep an elevation gain. Great for moderate hike

We hiked into the Nantahala National Forest on beautiful trails. We saw two waterfalls and swam in one. We only ran into one small group; otherwise, we were alone. The views were stunning and the water was refreshing. Unbelievable that this hidden gem isn’t explored more.

Driving through Nanahala Forest is beautiful! Stopping at the outdoor center to inquire about ADA Handicapped “cabins” and they have two. The staff was very kind and helpful- not just giving an “I think so” answer but, calling someone who knows. He then gave me a map and directions to drive up to these brand new cabins so I could see them. The roads are steep with sharp curves. I was hoping to see the river from the cabins yet, there’s still a beautiful view.

This is just a beautiful place! There is a pavilion for family picnics and a wonderful view!

This place felt unreal, ancient and was mesmerizing. We stayed at an Airbnb at the converge of the White Oak Creek and Otter Creek and it was so relaxing, tranquil and gorgeous. Tons to do. helpful hint. Cell service is few and far between, same with gas stations and groceries. DO NOT WAIT til the last minute, or you will be SOL

Beautiful forest with unforgettable scenic views! We had an amazing time exploring Nantahala National Forest. The drive through the forest offered some absolutely stunning scenic views — lush greenery, winding mountain roads, and peaceful overlooks that made the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. We stopped at Whitewater Falls and Dry Falls, and both were incredible in their own unique ways. Whitewater Falls was powerful and majestic, while Dry Falls gave us the rare and exciting chance to walk behind a waterfall. Both spots were easy to access and well worth the stops. The forest itself is peaceful, clean, and filled with natural beauty. Whether you’re driving through or hiking around, Nantahala is a perfect escape into nature. Can’t wait to come back and explore more!

I've never been to this location,but always look forward for a chance to expand my mind.I hope that this years conferences really grow us in the right direction as developers to be.
