"Nanuku leads the charge in conservation efforts with an in-house marine biologist and coral and mangrove planting opportunities for guests. The 500-acre resort offers swimming, water sports, cocktails at the swim-up bar, a private island, and a cultural program." - Tim Chester, Judy Koutsky

"Later, back at the sprawling Nanuku Resort Fiji on Viti Levu's south coast, where I was staying, I would have a private kava ceremony of my own. Organized by the resort's cultural ambassador, an iTaukei man named Josua Cakautini, it was performed by four burly, bare-chested men who sat around a huge wooden bowl, in which they prepared the kava."

"A beachfront suite with a pool costs just $692 a night at the Readers' Choice Award-winning Nanuku, Auberge Resorts Collection during February; in May, prices shoot up to more than $1,000 per night. Plus, the hotel has plenty of activities if it rains, from prawn cooking classes and boxing lessons to spa treatments."

We had such a great stay here for our honeymoon! The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the property was beautiful! The villas were very comfortable and had everything you needed (from bug spray, to converters, to cookies) and all the furniture looked new. Although the property is a 2h45m drive from the airport, it’s closer to all the activities (shark diving, river tubing, etc). Also the south of the island gets less rain than the north during the rainy season. The resort offers a lot of activities included in your stay (paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, basket weaving, coconut cup making, yoga etc). Make sure not to miss the management drinks as you get to try cava and chat with the staff and others staying at the resort! Also make sure you check out the spa as the massages are amazing (the Fijian women massage with good pressure!). The food was also so delicious! They have their own farm where they grow a lot of their produce and you can tell how fresh the ingredients are in the meals when you eat them! Don’t miss the crab omelette for breakfast and try the Fiji fire hot sauce! Thank you Nanuku staff for such a great stay!!

Our experience at this resort was truly memorable! The staff were exceptionally welcoming and remembered our names, making us feel completely at home. The resort was well-designed and easy to navigate. We especially enjoyed the bicycles, which added a fun touch to our experience. The dining experience was outstanding, with high-quality ingredients and a variety of dishes each day. The Bircher muesli and Lola buns were particular highlights. The spa treatments were luxurious and relaxing, with skilled staff and top-quality products. The pool amenities were excellent, and the pool bar was a great addition, though the noise from children made it less relaxing at times. Overall, it was a fantastic experience; we can't wait to return!

Best FOOD! GREAT service! Nanuku is a hidden gem, if you're lucky enough to stay here, you will appreciate the layout, view of butter islands. Seamless connection from your room and open spaces to the sea. Child friendly with children activities and playground available. Pool bar, in-house restaurant and coconut trees in all the right places. The staff are special and all that Jazz! Clean and well kept site. Nature is everywhere and it is very well balanced. Resort Pool is in the right place size and temperature, and of course connected to the bar. Did I mention coconut trees? My suite room was absolutely above my expectations. Pool, outdoor shower, lounging space, large bathroom, large spaces direct access to beach. You won't be disappointed.

Great service and good. The location is good once you get there but it’s a long drive from the airport. 2h45min Only complaint was some of the tours/equipment were a bit old and need to be updated Don’t miss the snorkeling on the 1 mile reef (jet ski there) Also they say bula too much

My wife and I went on a holiday break to Fiji and we stayed at Nanuku Resort in Fiji, and it was truly a dream come true! The location is nothing short of breathtaking, nestled in the perfect spot for serene ocean views and easy access to beautiful beaches and activities. The level of customer service was outstanding; every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and catered to. They were incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in making our stay memorable. The rooms were amazingly spacious and very comfortable and clean. The food was another highlight! Each meal was delicious, showcasing local flavors with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I especially enjoyed the seafood dishes—perfectly prepared and seasoned. If you're looking for a place to unwind, enjoy exquisite meals, and experience the warmth of Fijian hospitality, Nanuku Resort is a must-visit. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Nanuku surpassed our expectations! |We stayed in a beachfront villa, the view was spectacular - it took our breath away. The service was absolutely amazing, everyone who works there genuinely cares about their guests, especially the hotel management - they went out of their way to take care of everyone. Our teenage kids had a buddy who kept them entertained each day. The food was Amazing!!!!! The chef is very talented and the menu changed every day which was great. We did the ultimate island hopping tour, which was fantastic, and got to see reef sharks, turtles and dolphins doing pirouettes!! This is a very special place. We will be back!!!!!

We had an absolutely lovely experience. The staff were wonderful and the atmosphere was great. The benefit of choosing a hotel like Nanuku is that you get a bit more of that "off the beaten path" vibe by staying outside the of the cities and more within the country side. Our travel was for our honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we were treated well and had an enjoyable time away from home. They helped guide us to some fun activities and experiences as well to make sure we were always doing something. One thing I'll mention is that it rained heavily the first two days of our trip. Not one person at the hotel was feeling down and out about this. They did everything they could to make sure that onsite activities were able to be done even with the inclement weather. Also... a late night dip in the pool was a delightful experience with and without the rain.

Truly a special place. We stayed here for part of honeymoon. It was by far the best place we stayed in Fiji. The staff do an incredible job at making you feel welcome and special. I would describe the vibe as peaceful rustic luxury, which was perfect for us. I loved that, apart from the rooms, the resort is almost entirely open air. They make it easy to have as much privacy as you want while also having a great common space with a beautiful pool and a variety of events/activities throughout the day. There is plenty of sandy beach for walking, relaxing, and swimming. Strongly recommend one of the snorkeling trips. The food was delicious and the dinner menu changes daily so there is good variety. Cocktails were good, but weak. The resort does a great job at catering to the needs of foreign visitors while gracefully preserving and showcasing the local culture. We don't have kids but observed that this has to be hands down the best place in Fiji if you have kids as they offer complimentary 8a-8p child care with 1:1 "buddies" for the younger ages. The kids and staff all seemed like they were having a lot of fun! We have already recommended the resort to many and hope to come back sometime, especially when we have kids.
