This was our overall favourite among the 6 resorts we visited in the Yasawa Islands. I can't say enough good things about the staff in particular. It wasn't very busy the 4 nights we stayed there, so we got more of a chance to connect with the staff (and with other guests) than in some of the busier places. Special shout-outs to Masi, Oscar, Friendly Pete, Nem, and Suniya, who provided us with endless entertainment and helped create a really social environment in the beautiful bar area! It was also really nice that some of the local kids got very enthusiastically involved in the entertainment. The resort generally seemed better integrated with the local community than the other ones we stayed at.
The food was fantastic, with more options at each meal than in most other places, and they were better than anywhere else at dealing with my dietary requirements. The resort doesn't have its own beach but there's a very nice one a short walk away, and there's fantastic swimming and snorkelling just steps away from the resort, accessed from some gaps in their sea wall. There were also some friendly, happy dogs to play with, the hilarious Casper being everyone's favourite.
I also really liked the beachfront villa we stayed in - it was a little dated/retro but had a really nice rustic feel to it, and it was lovely to have a private back yard as well as a front porch to hang out in.
We really didn't want to leave this place!
