From Paris to Penang: How Singaporean modern artist Georgette Chen made her mark in the world - SilverKris

"A prominent art school that employed the artist from 1954 until her 1980 retirement after an invitation from its founding principal, the institution was where she mentored and influenced a new generation of Singaporean artists. During her tenure she encouraged students to develop individual styles and experiment with different approaches, and her teaching coincided with the production of works that drew on everyday local scenes and tropical subjects." - Ink Creative Studios

NAFA offers a range of programmes in arts, design, and media. The campus is equipped with modern facilities that support academic study as well as practical artistic work.

I would like to give my highest recommendation to Suzette. She was extremely helpful when I brought my son to learn more about the school and during the application process. She explained everything clearly, answered all our questions patiently, and was always warm and smiling. Truly grateful for her support and professionalism

CLE handling of student enquiries is really unprofessional. Their helplines are useless, especially if you're trying to settle important matters such as enrolment. There's simply no way to get hold of any human to assist! Called them nearly 20x and not a single time was my call answered. Finally, had to go down in person to check if the campus is really open, only to have staff inform that they've been busy and will typically reply email queries within a week. Then why bother having a phone line???

I was highly recommended by artist friend, but my experience with the short course department staff Jing Xuan Lee fell short. Asked politely for assistance, she was not only unhelpful, also rude. Telling me off dismissively rather than offering guidance. Should not throw the fault and unhappiness of other staff members being on leave in December onto customers. Didn't even offer/accept taking a note and reverting? Basic courtesy and support zero. It is as if NAFA CLE does not want business

I had a disappointing experience with the CLE course I attended. I raised concerns about the possibility of subpar materials affecting our artwork, but the response was to arrange a session with a technician to offer tips on improving my technique to prevent such outcomes in the future. This also implied the issue was due to user error. If technique is so critical, I feel this should have been properly addressed during the class itself? Given the high course fees, I expected better guidance and quality control. I’ve attended other private classes and never encountered such issues. I was seriously considering signing up for the Level 2 course, but the defensive response to feedback has made me rethink that decision—especially since I’m paying out of pocket and not using SkillsFuture credits.

Customer service handle main line very bad service with no patient as very rude and unhelpful. I spoke to her very nicely and yet get this kind of attitude. She told me that the dept many people were on leave as now is December for short course dept. Then why registration deadline put in Dec since many on leave and cant answer to enquiries. Very disappointed with NAFA

I used to study there at NAFA Campus One, love the experience here, and miss it too. Great place to hang out with friends and place to chill after school. Since now most of the facilities has upgraded, alot have change since then after my graduation.
