Nap Hostel

To start with the positive: The staff was very friendly, maybe among the friendliest hostel staff I have experienced so far. Therefore my first impression was amazing. However, my opinion on this place quickly changed. Firstly, I was irritated by the fact that the toilets/bathroom can not be locked. I could still live with that alone, but additionally, I wasn't able to properly close the bathroom door. After entering the bathroom and closing the door, it opened itself again. I really hope this door has been fixed since my visit. Then the rooms: They are cute as such, and there's not too many beds. However, my blanket seemed rather dirty. And then came the worst part: I could not sleep for even a second. Some drunk guy made the loudest sleeping noises I have ever heard. He was literally screaming, burping and farting during his sleep, making it impossible for me to even think of falling asleep. He also looked kind of creepy so somewhere before 6am, when the sun was out, I decided to just leave the hostel as quickly as possible. I did not feel comfortable at all. What a shame, because Pécs is an amazing city. Maybe my rating would have turned out better without that drunk guy...

Got here with my partner when I was facing a difficult time. The staff was extremely kind and understanding, going as far as to help me however they could. The place itself was great too, featuring a dorm, a kitchen, a lounge and a closed courtyard outside. The dorms we stayed in featured five bunk beds, each having their own nightlight. There are plenty of electrical sockets for charging devices. The kitchen had everything it needed to cook well, including an oven. The lounge was next to the reception and had very comfy chairs and a sofa, along with some books and good wifi. The courtyard outside was not public, so you had reasonable privacy (except other hostel users and residents). As per location, there is a bar (Nappali) directly underneath that can be accessed via a backdoor in the building itself, so you don't have to walk around. It is in the heart of historic Pécs with many landmarks nearby. Groceries can be gotten from nearby stores in the same street, which tend to be open from early morning till almost midnight. All in all, it was a great stay and I would certainly recommend others to go there as well!

Last time they cancelled my booking really in the lastminute, one day before my arrival - because of a big group - causing me much inconvinience about rebooking and replanning my trip. Haven't been there since then. Apart form this I was kinda a regular visitor there and everything was fine before.

Very good hostel with perfect location. Three of us came with bikes and they have safe backyard which was very usefull for us. The rooms are spacious and the girl that welcomed us (unfortunately we forgot her name) is very helpful, witty and kind! The bar is just below the hostel so you don't have to go far to grab a drink. Only downside is the lack of AC or a fan so it can be pretty hot inside, but that's reasonable since there are many different people in the room so it would be hard to please everyone, so they probably made wise choice to leave it out.

Nap Hostel is very conveniently located in old town. The walk from the train station was about 20 minutes. The hostel was easy to find because it was just down the street from the National Theatre. Although it was above a bar, I love the beautiful artwork in the staircase leading up to the hostel. I was very impressed!||||The owner was friendly and helpful. The facilities were average for a hostel (clean but nothing fancy). The dorms were not too crowded and the high ceilings made the room felt spacious. The room was flooded with sunlight all day long. Although the concert at the bar was loud in the evening, I had no problem with it as a deep sleeper.

As foreigner like me, you could be at first sight surprised by the huge but weird building, but this is what make the charm of the Hungarian culture: a long and interesting history. You have a "VIP door" which give you access to the bar in the same building. I had the occasion to go to a concert to this bar, which is the coolest bar of the city. The host speaks english and will give you the best local spots to go, and the tourist traps to avoid.

Although tucked away behind the bar, and slightly hard to find initially, this hostel was great. Basically like a big house with 3 big dorm rooms and a nice kitchen and eating area. The staff were hardly there to be honest! Decor was cool and the bathrooms were clean and fairly roomy. Discount in the bar below is prettty good, and its a nice place to have a drink! ||Very central!
