This is 3.5 stars for me, so I rounded up to 4 instead of down to 3.
I really enjoyed how different this place felt from a normal hotel. It was very cool to walk up to a train car and enter, and even when inside the shape of the room reminded you that you were in one (really long perfectly rectangular room), but it was also as nice as any decent hotel, with all the amenities you'd need.
The bathroom was clean and had a cute little makeup/dressing table and bench (I haven't seen one of those in a long time). While clean, it was a little worn and had some older stains on the seat so I chose not to use it, but enjoyed having it in the room.
There is a little fridge tucked into the armoire, and a table with wine rack, opener and wine glasses if you'd like to taste any of your locally purchased wines. There's even an umbrella stand with an umbrella, in case it rains.
I had two small complaints. One was that only two pillows were provided, and they were extremely flat. I'm used to a firmer pillow, or at least to being able to stack two together if they're flat, but we each had to make do with one really small, really worn out pillow. Switching those out for newer ones or throwing a few more in the room would make a huge difference.
Second was that the AC worked, but not great. It felt a tad sticky in the room the whole time, which we really didn't notice until we tried to fall asleep.
The location, however, is perfect. In the morning I walked over to Bouchon Bakery for some coffee and macarons, and for dinner we walked over to Bottega. It's right next to the little shopping center.
It was reasonably priced ($200/night on a holiday weekend), so that bumps it up for me, and I would stay here again.
