Nara Ugaya Guesthouse

Quite a nice atmosphere in the common guest room on the first floor. Yet, the place is quite outdated and messy, including the toilets and the showers. And what was the most annoying, after traveling for two weeks in the country, this was the first place that charged me extra for storing the lagage (and the towel) whch in teh end brought stay price back to the prices of more pricy but fancy capsule hotels around. Great location though!

Worth try for the price the and quality is very reasonable. Fridge, kitchen, microwave and all the basic for those that want save some money cooking meals. Washing machine and dryer are available too. The bunked bed and WI-FI was decent to use too.

Stayed here 2 times. Once in 2009 and once in 2018. Definitely coming back. Always a great experience. Great staff everytime. In 2008 I wanted to stay an extra night and they did not have any beds but they arranged something for me which was so nice.

A really good guesthouse with warming people. Nice and clean place with lockers in the dorm for your valuable goods. Definitely recommend for a night in Nara!

Very nice and clean place. Staff was friendly too. 5 minutes walk to JR Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara station. Surrounded by restaurants, shops and famous Nara temples.

it's a nice, clean place with reasonably priced shared accommodations (dorm rooms). friendly staff as well.

Awful host. Awful bed. Awful bathroom. Horrible experience and we didn't have the room we had reserved
