On the plus side;|The late pm / evening receptionist was great and did his best. |The single towel, face cloth and bath |At weee good quality. ||The rest was dire. It was like Fawlty towers. |The keys are so high tech it’s hard to figure out how to open the room. but that’s likely just me being a dimwit. |The rooms are big but they don’t tell you the rooms are smoking rooms so no matter the size, if you aren’t a smoker all you can smell is old cigarettes and you have to contend with burn marks in the furniture. |Bed is rock hard and I mean solid, I like that but others would t. |Breakfast ….. you are presented with pictures the night before (croissant with egg or an ‘English’ or a Mongolian with beef tongue and noodles). You have to order in advance. Don’t expect the cook to have it ready for 7am for example and whatever you do, don’t exceed your one coffee and one juice or you will be presented with a bill - card only!|The rooms look scruffy and unloved but they do try to make them clean, bathroom and sheets were clean. ||There is a huge list of rules. |It felt like what I imagine a high tech communist boarding school would be.||Look at my other review for a better nicer place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights before our tour with Selena Travel and one night before we left Mongolia. The rooms were clean and comfortable with lots of space. The staff was polite and helpful. The included breakfast was basic but adequate. When we had to leave early they provided a packed breakfast. We had supper there several times and found the food excellent and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant.||||We had to run the hot water for the shower at least 5 minutes before it became hot. Considering that the cost was much lower than at the Best Western next door, this was not much of a hardship.||||The WiFi worked OK while we were there.||||A bit of advice. Ask for a room not facing the railway station. Room 804 (first 3 nights) was quiet since it was not on the railway side. Room 805 was noisy. The train horns were loud.

I stayed at this hotel for about 3 days, and I was generally disappointed. The staff were very friendly, but it was difficult to communicate with them. Room was somewhat spacious but at night it was impossible to sleep, because the train station is right next to the hotel. The hotel's location was very poor. Breakfast was somewhat edible but, the service was way too slow and I was almost late for work. The gym was okay, just average. Room service was good at first, but after few days the my room was messy. Hot water is out often and it was difficult to take a shower. WiFi was in and out and it was horrendous. Reason for existence of a hotel is to have a good nights rest but this hotel's location could not provide that so it failed as a hotel in a way. ||Overall looks great on the outside, but does not serve the main purpose.

We stayed at Naranbulag Hotel for 2 nights. First night everything went great: staff was nice, service good, room was clean, hot shower did work, internet worked well etc. ||||The second night (one week after) did not go that smoothly. In our room electricity pugs did not work. Well, hotel staff was friendly and changed our room immediately. But unfortunately in the new room there was no hot water and internet did not work. We did not get to change room again, so we just needed to suffer from ice cold showers and lack of internet. ||||But again, when we left Ulanbataar very early in the morning (6am train to China), the hotel staff arranged us a breakfast at 4:30!!! It was absolutely great! :) Remember, do not go to breakfast in a hurry, they serve veeeeery slowly! But if you reserve time for your breakfast, it will be good. :) ||||Gym was great addition and there was good service.

We traveled in a party of four and booked two rooms, both of which got a free upgrade! So lucky! I agree with previous reviewers that the deluxe rooms are definitely more comfortable. The shower may take awhile to learn how to work, but hot water was thankfully always available. The breakfast is very filling and the staff were also kind enough to pack take away for us at 4am in the morning due to an early flight. The staff were always willing to help and even helped us arrange a local tour guide/driver! You can save so much more money than when with those large tour companies like Ger to Ger! And get a much more personalized experience. We highly recommend NB hotel!

Only a few rooms are air-conditioned(mine wasn't - even though my booking stated it was!), but a friend in an air-conditioned room said it didn't work anyway!! We had trouble getting an accurate bill at reception - overcharging tourists is commonplace??- and both the exterior of the hotel and the rooms looked very tired! Restaurant acceptable but closes early: breakfast may include tinned(?) chicken soup! 10 minutes walk from railway station

We only stayed here for one night before catching an early train, when the receptionist found out we'd be leaving before breakfast she arranged for one we could take with us. room was bright and comfortable, unfortunately I couldn't make the shower work, I only discovered this at 5 am and completely forgot to tell the receptionist on my way out so it may have been for any reason, including my own incompetence||The husband & wife run karaoke bar around the back is a great place to spend an evening with the locals.

Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. I think that the hotel is pretty new. They also have a gym - we didn't go but it looked nice. Free wi-fi. About 20min walk to the city centre and 5min walk to the train station in case you're planning to catch a train.
