We had really mixed feelings about this place. The location is very central and accessible, but the street and the building itself feel very run down and a bit shady at night. on the other hand just a street away there are lots of really nice shops and restaurants. The flat is part of a slightly bizarre development of modern studio's on top of a very old run down building. There were slightly unpleasant smells on the way up to the flat. There was also a residual smell of cigarette smoke in the flat - not heavy but definitely noticeable for non smokers.. Generally the flat was quiet, but the walls are very thin and if the neighbours are loud you can hear everything they say. On the other hand the double glazing is good which keeps a lot of the sound from outside out of the flat. Given we were there around xmas and New Year with huge amplified concerts in a piazza just a few streets away this was important. The sleeping area was nice and most of the basic facilities that you might need for self catering were there. The shower worked well, but the toilet didn't flush reliably. The owner was helpful when we couldn't figure out the air conditioning. The all white painted rooms are clean but completely soul-less. Pretty difficult to assess this place. Plenty of positives and negatives.

Myself and a group of friends rented three of the apartments for three nights. ||||Firstly the building. The building is located a short walk from the beach and is very near the busy shop street. It is a bit of a walk from the Metro. The street the hotel is located on has loads of character with the locals talking to each other from balconies across the street. The building is not very inviting downstairs. The entrance area is a bit run down and contains a small lift which will bring you as far as the third floor. The apartments are located on the fourth and the staircase is a bit narrow. When you get to the fourth floor there is a dramatic change in the building. It starts to look clean and modern. ||||I was in a large split level apartment with my finance. The apartment was very clean and had all the utensils you needed to cook if you wanted but pizzas are so cheap nearby that we never bothered. There was a TV and a sofa bed in our room along with the double bed. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. We had a small balcony to the side which I am not sure if you could smoke on. Our room had a good view of Mount Vesuvius. The bathroom was very modern and included a rain shower.||||We only met a staff member on the day we arrived but she was very pleasant and there were no issues.

The apartment is situated on the 4th floor of a traditional tall Neapolitan building on a narrow street, with a balcony looking into the street and all the life that goes on there. A great location for exploring the city and plenty of great restaurants nearby. The apartments are clean and modern, with functional kitchen and and basic (Ikea) furnishings.

We spent a week at 48 Nardones and loved it! The air con provides a chilled reprieve from the hot and busy streets bellow and the white, modern decor feels so airy and clean. Stefano greeted us upon arrival and made us feel so welcome and provided some great tips on getting to Pompeii and Vesuvius. The apartment is in a beautiful district with great shopping and is tucked away up an amazing cobbled street with some really great trattorias. You are only 5 minutes walk from the palace which is stunning. Yes the apartments are on the top floor but with a very modern lift taking you up to the third floor and just a small flight of stairs to the fourth it really isn't hard. We also had a room with a terrace which was very spacious and had some really great views. Yes the exterior of the building is peeling and up a narrow street but so is every building in this fascinating area! We felt very safe and comfortable at 48 Nardones and hope to stay again in the future.

We rented a studio type room for two people. The location is fairly convenient, close to the subway and near Chiaia and the Plaza del Plebiscito. The studio came equipped with basic utensils which allowed us to make our own breakfasts and dinners. Grocery stores nearby allow for easy shopping. This is not a hotel, rather it is a small studio in a building inhabited by locals. Bring your own soap and shampoo.

We have just returned from a 4 day stay. The apartment is dirty and in poor state of repair. The toilet seat is broken and the toilet flush does not work, meaning the bathroom smelt like a sewer throughout our stay. The hairdryer and kettle didnt work, the bedding was filthy and shower covered in mould. The entire apartment was very dusty and our cases were covered in dust when we left. The owner said he would look after our cases as we had a late checkout, however we came back to find our luggage left unattended in the hall. The location is good and there are many lovely restaurants nearby, however you could get nicer accommodation for the price you will pay.

We were here for 2 nights. Most of the apartments has two floors inside the apartment and available for 4 persons. Location is perfect: near to Piazza Plebescito, Castel Nuovo, Piazza Municipo, Via Toledo, Via Chiaia. Nice view from the balcony. I can suggest to everybody to stay here when coming to Naples ;)

Difficult to find due to lack of signage or obvious numbering.||On the backstreets of Naples in good location. Downstairs is a bit of a dump but the apartments are modern, clean & spacious.||Good communication from owner during transit from airport.||Although agreed in advance, - the 20 euro surcharge for 22-00 check-in did not feel right.
