This is the Heart of Zadars old town. A bustling square, with tourists, musicians, shops and just life all around. A fun place to pause and just take in all the fun. As the main square (directly linked to the main entrance across the bridge) it is very busy and get crowded fast. But there's culture and life all around keeping it a vibrant place to hangout and enjoy a coffee or just people watch. Take a moment and take it in

An old heart of an old town. A place to enjoy morning coffee or evening drink and watch passing people going by. There are some stands with local products you can buy.

It's a lively, beautiful, often crowded public square along Zadar's main pedestrian thoroughfare. There are plenty of fascinating older buildings but they're often obstructed by advertising or restaurant seating.

Small fish market was open even on the holidays. Good selection. If you are a tourist, you get scammed with price of course. We paid 25€ per kilo for not very fresh fish, because we did not know better. No sticker prices at all, you need to ask, so... already a bad sign 🛑.

⭐ Iconic ancient square. ☕ Surrounded by cafes, an 11th-century church, and other historic buildings. 🚧 Currently under reconstruction, which is a pity.

Now in Croatia, Roman built town/city called Zadar. History abounds to the days of the the Apostles travels. Ancient typical Marble paved streets with apartments, boutique shops, doors in the buildings opening up to restaurants with open air quadrangle and gardens. The city was is surrounded by a wall with a huge tunnel like entrance leading to the harbour/ Marina. Luxurious Multi millionaire private yachts, ferries, boats of of shapes and sizes, and people/tourists from allover the world walking, sitting on pavements restaurants and bars enjoying this beautiful city. I love every minute here, this beautiful still intact country with the Alps and close vicinity to all major counties on Europe. Come an enjoy.

The people’s square marks the very centre of Zadar. Even more than the Forum or St Donatus Church could do. It is the heart of the city and any festivity. A place not to miss when in Zadar. And it is worth seeing. It is a cozy little square with regular activities taking place. Enjoy!
