Girls trip! We all needed a break from stress, and this whimsical B&B in Oak Bluffs made that happen. We stayed in rooms 12 & 14. Room 14 had another entrance/exit to outside. Tricia-Ann, April, Janice, Serena, Anika, and Jayden were wonderful staff seeing to our every need. They cooked delicious, varying breakfast selections every morning to help us start our day. The house had a good vibe, and the rooms were very clean. The porch seating was great. The house is located in a very quiet environment on a very pretty block. We had easy access to all types of transportation, beach, shopping, and restaurants, all in walking distance. It was nice having Yogi Christopher on site. He's a scream and offers yoga on the beach each morning. We had no complaints, just some suggestions: - Update the website - Change/clean closet rugs -Provide more umbrellas for beach chairs -Need a larger ice machine -Hot and cold water dispenser instead of teapot and water bottle -Everyone should wear an Inkwell shirt so we can separate staff from guests.

We had a wonderful stay - shout out to Omar who was super attentive and helpful! The location and room were perfect for what we needed - and Oaks Bluff was the perfect starting point for all of our island activities.

Our visit started off great and we got an upgrade for a nicer room with a bigger portable AC unit. Communication leading up to our trip was great as well, but after our first night, things went downhill. We were informed that first morning around 10am by text saying the water would be off for two hours for repairs. On our return around 7pm to freshen up for dinner, there was still no water. I responded to the text communication from earlier to let them know we didn’t have water and got no response. I called after dinner at 9pm and left a voice mail because no one answered. When we returned at 10pm, it still wasn’t working and I sent yet another text with no response. This significantly impacted my experience, as I was unable to use the bathroom or take a shower that night or the next morning. Upon return after vacation I emailed the management team to express my concern and request a refund for the one night I went without water. That was almost two weeks ago and I never got a response. Then last week, I emailed directly using the link on their website and still no response. Very disappointing customer service.

We had an excellent stay at the Narragansett house for two nights. The room we booked was cozy and perfect for two people. Each morning they serve several breakfast items: fresh juice, coffee, homemade egg bites, waffles/pancakes. I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning, as well as the friendly service. I would recommend booking here, especially for a stay where you’d like to be central to Oak Bluffs - walking distance to both the beach and the town. We hope to be back!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay! I arrived stressed out but Chavelle and Omar made sure we had everything we needed and encouraged us to make the inn our home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, and the porch was relaxing (there was always someone hanging out in the rocking chairs). Last, the inn is walking distance from the beach and Circuit Ave so a car is not necessary. I would definitely stay here again.

Narragansett House was a great choice for our weekend stay on MV. It’s a quaint Inn within walking to all thing Oak Bluff. We stayed in room 1 at the top of a very narrow and winding staircase. The room is small and bathroom was even smaller which we chuckled about, but it worked and very much fit the theme of the Inn. Room had a comfortable bed and small closet if needed. The best part is the private balcony facing street which allowed for enjoying coffee and saying hello to passerby’s. Waddy was most welcoming and very nice. Helped carry luggage up and would text in the evening with continental breakfast options for next morning. Convenient system to where he would text options and timeframe. In the morning you simply go downstairs at the predetermined time and a basket with you choice and room number was ready to grab and go. Coffee was always available and self serve. Waddy also provided a table on porch supplied with masks, hand sanitizer and thermometer which was great to have available when coming and going. Will stay here again upon a return trip.

Yelp
We had an upstairs room with its own small balcony. The room was nicely done with a super comfy bed and pillows. We enjoyed the AC AND ceiling fan. It also had a small fridge which we also liked. The bathroom was tiny , though modernized, but could have been made a bit more functional if there was a second towel rack where guests could hang their bath towels away from their hand towels, allowing them to dry better. Another feature that would be helpful would be a few small shelves that guests could keep their toiletries on since the pedestal sink has no room for anything other than the hand soap. They serve breakfast every morning consisting of assorted bagels and English muffins. There is also coffee, juice and fresh fruit, along with hard boiled eggs, egg cups and muffins. Scrambled eggs /waffles are available upon request. The breakfast was very good and most guests enjoyed their meal on the large front porch in the rocking chairs or bistro tables. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The place has a very laid back vibe as does the whole town. We will be back!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed at Narragansett house for two nights last weekend. We had the most amazing time. The accommodations were perfect. The breakfast and charcuterie boards were delicious. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would certainly stay there again on our next trip to the island.

Yelp
Fantastic!! Location, accommodations. My friend and I stayed here for the Beach Road Weekend music festival; it was the perfect location, it was comforting and close to everything, and quiet and peaceful all at the same time. I would love to stay here again.

Yelp
From start to finish, this was an AMAZING experience!! I stayed here for a mini honeymoon with my husband and they decorated our room with rose petals and gave us a bottle of champagne with a sweet card, and even upgraded our room. The staff was simply wonderful, so polite and friendly, and made sure to ask us if we needed anything. The rooms were adorable and they had a cute outside as well, with rocking chairs on the porch and Adirondack chairs with tables on the lawn. The location is also perfect, an easy walk to everywhere downtown and the beach. I would absolutely stay here again in the future!

Yelp
The Narragansett House is the best bed and breakfast in Oak Bluffs! I've been coming to the Vineyard with my family for years butthis was my first time as an adult without my parents. This was also my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and my experience was beyond delightful. The style/decor is updated yet still classically beautiful, the hospitality from the staff and service were unmatched and the attention to detail and laid back atmosphere are exactly what you're looking for when traveling during a pandemic. Inkwell yoga @ 8am with Christopher is transformative and definitely the best way to begin your day - this is available for guests staying at Narragansett. The owners are amazing people who live and breathe the Vineyard and have created something truly amazing with this space. Walking distance to the Inkwell, Circuit Ave + more!

Yelp
I stayed at the Narragansett House for 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The hospitality they show their guests is top notch. They go above and beyond. The rooms are beautiful, very clean and cozy. It is centrally located with a 2 minute walk into town and 5 minute walk to the beach. I will never stay anywhere else on the Vineyard. This place gets a A++!

Yelp
My family and I visited Martha's Vineyard for the first time and we loved it!! We stayed at the Narragansett House an adorable bed and breakfast for 4 nights and were very pleased!! The owners and staff was extremely friendly and helpful, our daughter's is vegan and they went above and beyond ensuring that she had dietary options!! The home is just adorable, we stayed in the family suite and loved it!! I would recommend this B&B to all!

Yelp
I spent a week in July and 5 days in August with a one week break when I rented a cottage. The stays at Narragansett House were great. The Owners were very attentive to my needs and the staff was efficient and friendly. In short, they made me feel like I was part of a large family. The setting is perfect with a short walk to the Oak Bluffs beaches and the main street is only a hop skip and a jump away. It is a quiet neighborhood and the whole atmosphere is one of friendliness. I highly recommend this B & B. I hope to have another long stay next summer. A. Kevin Fahey

Yelp
My friend and I just returned from the Narragansett House after a week's stay. I feel like I made lifetime friends with the owners, and, the staff. The front porch is a meeting place / a hang out place for all who stay there and truly it was the most welcoming and relaxing gathering place during our entire visit. The House is spotless, the beds very comfortable, and, the water pressure perfect. Then there's the morning breakfast, and, freshly made warm pastries almost daily. I cannot say enough about this vacation place except to say you will love it.

Yelp
What a great hotel/experience. The rooms at the Iroquois Cottage were well-kept, clean, and the decor was cute and homey. We almost booked online, but called and got a lower price and two different discounts. We had our own private porch which was nice to sit on and read. Our proprietor was friendly and helpful, always there to help us out, whether it be restaurant recommendations, maps and directions, borrowing towels and beach equipment, or how to use the bus system. There was coffee, tea, and muffins/coffee cake in the morning. The bathroom was clean and nice, and the bed was big and comfortable. The location is very nice, not too far from everything, but not surrounded by tourists. It was just off Circuit Avenue, but it was quiet during the day to read and relax. Would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Wow...for the past 3 years or so, my boyfriend and I have been staying at the Narragansett House in Oak Bluffs over Memorial Day Weekend. There are not enough good things I could say about this charming B&B. For starters, the owner, Jane, is amazing. Not only is she so nice, but she's also quick to respond to any inquiries/emails/phone calls, she's also so knowledgeable. Whether Ben and I had to get to Edgartown or Aquinnah, she know the best shuttle routes to take there as well as the best eateries in the area. We've stayed in a couple different rooms they've always been really clean, well kept and of course comfortable. The Narragansett House is also very centrally located. We didn't bring our car over and we were a 3 minute walk to where the shuttle picks you up and a 1 minute walk to Circuit Ave (one of the main streets in Oak Bluffs). Staying here is something we look forward to every year! We'll be back again in May 2015 :-)

Yelp
Stayed in the Iroquois Cottage, their new addition across the street, and had a great time. Jane, the proprietor, was very helpful and super sweet with advice from getting to the Vineyard to great places to eat and rent bikes. The rooms were clean and there was great coffee and muffins in the morning. There is also a bike rack to lock up the bikes. Its a great location close to the stores and restaurants but not right in the middle, which was nice. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We were NOT happy with this facility. It was old and not conveniently located. In addition, the cleaning person left the bathroom window open (though there was a screen) and we found 100s of flying ants on the bathroom floor the next morning. I cleaned them up, quietly informed the owner, Jane and all she said was, "That's because we don't have a basement." There was no emathy; I'm sorry, we'll give you a discount NOTHING. Thus was poor public relations and we will never return.
