Nashville International Airport

Google
Definitely my favorite Airport of all that I have been to! Open, airy, clean, and packed with great stores and restaurants. I love that several of the bars and restaurants also feature Live Music throughout the day. It's the Music City, so why not! If I was ever going to be stuck in an airport for multiple hours, or just passing through quickly, BNA would be my choice every time!

⭐ 5-Star Review – Nashville International Airport (BNA) I had a transfer here on my Southwest flight from TPA to LAX the day after Thanksgiving, and the whole connection was smooth and stress-free. I got off the plane and was able to find my next gate with no problem—the walk wasn’t long at all, and everything was clearly marked. The airport itself is very modern and clean. I had enough time during my layover to use the restroom, recharge my phone at one of the many charging stations, and still make it to my next gate with ease. Overall, a very organized airport and one of the easier connections I’ve had.

My experience flying in and out of Nashville Airport (BNA) was great. Everything was on time, and the process was smooth. It was my first time there, but the signs made everything easy to figure out. After landing, a shuttle picked us up and took us to the main terminal, which was quick and simple. The designated Uber pickup area is across from the main terminal, which makes drop-offs and pickups organized. Security on my way out was fast — about 15 to 20 minutes. There are plenty of food options and restaurants inside, and everything felt clean and well-managed. Some gates require a short shuttle ride, but it runs regularly and on time. Overall, a nice, efficient airport and a great experience traveling through Nashville.

Google
Love this airport - always clean, updated and easy to navigate. Restaurant selection is vast, with lots of great places to choose from. A lot of shops are self checkout, making it a speedy stop. Restrooms are clean and there are many of them. The best part is their very efficient system for ride app pickups. Feels very safe, well lit even in the ride app areas that are covered. Hilton is attached and very convenient.

Google
BNA isn’t just an airport — it’s basically a mall with planes! ✈️🛍️ From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels lively and modern. There are tons of shops, restaurants, and even local favorites that give you a real taste of Nashville before (or after) your flight. Whether you’re craving BBQ, coffee, or something quick and fresh, there’s a place for it. You can easily spend an hour browsing, snacking, or just people-watching — it’s that nice! The layout is clean and easy to navigate, and there’s always something catching your eye along the way. Honestly, BNA makes travel feel less like waiting around and more like a mini outing. If you have a layover here, consider yourself lucky — it’s one of the most enjoyable airports in the country!

Google
Nashville International Airport (BNA) is bright, modern, and easy to navigate. The new Grand Lobby and expanded security move people quickly, and the public art and live music give it a true “Music City” vibe. Connectivity is excellent with free Wi-Fi throughout, and there’s a Minute Suites near Gate D3 if you need a quiet room to rest or work. Dining and shopping showcase plenty of Tennessee flavors, and the recent upgrades make the terminal feel airy and updated—international arrivals and the central marketplace are especially improved. Rideshare pickups and drop-offs are in the Ground Transportation Center (Garage 2, Level 1); it’s a short indoor walk, but plan a few extra minutes if you have heavy bags. Overall: clean, efficient, and uniquely Nashville. If you value a bit of local character with your travel, BNA delivers. Nashville International Airport (BNA) is bright, modern, and easy to navigate. It has one terminal with four active concourses—B, C, D and T—while Concourse A is closed (as of Sept. 24, 2025) for a full rebuild scheduled to reopen July 11, 2028. Gate counts right now: B = 10 gates, C = 26 gates (includes C4–C11 in the Satellite Concourse), D = 11 gates (after the July 8, 2025 extension with an outdoor terrace and BNA’s first moving walkway), and T = 6 gates (handles most non-pre-cleared international flights). If your boarding pass shows C4–C11, take the short shuttle from near Gate C13—it runs every ~3 minutes and the ride is ~3 minutes. Where airlines are: Southwest uses C & D; Delta and many United flights use B; American uses C (and sometimes T-Gates); British Airways, Aer Lingus, Icelandair, Frontier, Viva Aerobus, WestJet use the T-Gates; JetBlue, Spirit, Allegiant, Sun Country use the Satellite Concourse (C4–C11). International nonstops (as of Oct 2025): London-Heathrow (BA) year-round; Dublin (Aer Lingus) seasonal; Reykjavík (Icelandair) seasonal; Toronto (Air Canada/WestJet) year-round; Montreal (Air Canada) seasonal; Calgary & Edmonton (WestJet) seasonal; plus Mexico/Caribbean routes such as Cancún (multiple airlines), Los Cabos and Punta Cana (mostly seasonal). San Juan (Puerto Rico) is also served (U.S. territory—no passport required). Check the airport’s live Nonstop Destinations list for exact start/season dates. Bottom line: clean, efficient, and uniquely “Music City.” The expanded Concourse D, easy shuttle to the Satellite gates, and clear airline-to-concourse layout make connections simple, and the upgraded international options are a big plus.

Google
I was very pleased with the dining options at this airport. We had a lot of time before our flight so we ate at Ole Red and enjoyed the live performance. The cleaning crew seems to be out and about often, and I even saw them cleaning the metal pillars. There were some fun specialty stores too so if you missed anything in Nashville you might find it here.

Google
This airport is nicely designed with a center hall area that has most of the restaurants and shops. It is right after the security checkpoint. The modern and well lit. This area leads to 4 gates A-D. But the surrounding and interior of gates drops massively as you walk in. It appears old and out dated. After our arrival, it was about 7-8 minutes walk to baggage claim from the gate. The bags arrived at the carousel within 15 minutes of disembarking. For our departure , baggage drop off was smooth. TSA line wasn’t too long. But they had no Clear lanes. We were at the airport around 6am and a good number of places were already open early in the morning.

Yelp
BNA is a great airport. Plenty of coffee spots and souvenir shops and, of course, hot chicken establishments to browse through during a one hour layover. Very organized and excellent customer service especially at the gates. Plenty of charging areas for electronics. Overall, great short experience in Nashville.

Yelp
Nashville International Airport - BNA. I see what yall are doing over there, I really do. This is one of the more spacious airports that I've been into (as of late). Upon arrival, we located the restrooms with ease then focused on finding something to eat. The restrooms were clean and stocked with necessities. We love a clean laboratory honey! We had lunch at Party Fowl and as you all read (I know yall read that review, don't lie) that food was delicious. I loved that getting to various levels within the airport was convenient. And to my very, very pleasant surprise I was able to find one of Nashvilles locally indie owned bookstores!! Yes I purchased some new goodies! Overall, BNA was a worthy stop and I'm glad I was able to spend my time laying over here!

Yelp
We had a layover here and overall the Nashville international airport is pretty nice! This airport has the fanciest restrooms that I've seen at an airport. Each individual sink has it's own hand dryer (not the paper towel dispenser) and there are hand sanitizer stations built into the walls of the airport in general as well. Lots of little shops and restaurants to get your dose of Nashville hot chicken and hot sauce if you're looking to give that a try. Glad to have stopped by and hopefully next time we'll get to tour more of the city itself!
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this airport! In fact, I purposely routed for this airport connection as it's super uplifting and fun with the live music and great vibes throughout so many dining options and shopping makes that three hour layover another fun experience while travel traveling
google avatar

Divine K.

Yelp
When you step in you can definitely tell this airport has recently been renovated. The placement of vendors through out the airport is perfect you have a plethora of options and the pricing for food is probably the most affordable compared to other international airports
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
Honestly, one of the best airports I have ever visited! The flow of the place is simple. Signage and directions are easy to understand. The facility is incredibly clean and well kept. The restrooms are immaculately clean and had nice hot water that came out instantly. (It's the little details that impress me) There's a 'ton' of food places. Definitely more than lots of other airports. They even have a shop you can pay to go and nap in a private room. Wow. Cool! Overall, I was impressed with this airport for my 3 hour layover. Would prefer this one over most.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience in the arrivals lane at BNA. There are only like 15 spots for arrivals and they're all consolidated into the same area, making it really easy to pick up your loved one(s). Also, this is the first airport I've seen with a hotel in their parking structure. Super cool.
google avatar

Lizzy C.

Yelp
For an airport as large as it is, security & TSA was one of the most flawless ive seen, especially during the shut down. I've never been to an airport with live music at multiple venues. There are so many shops and restaurants in this airport. All the airport staff was friendly. Shop staff at certain outlets were not. Overall this is one of the better airports ive traveld thru this year. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Out of order areas were clearly marked.
google avatar

Kristina K.

Yelp
I had a 3 hour layover in BNA so I decided to take a long walk, and walked pretty much the entire airport. There are is no shortage of stores and eateries. Many stores share the country theme of Nashville which was a nice touch and works well for those looking for gifts. Even around 8 am there was live music going on in one of the restaurants. There appeared to be more healthy food options compared to some airports, which was nice to see. After the walk around, I was able to easily connect to the wifi without having to do to make an account or download anything. I am glad to have my long layover in BNA as, it made the experience better than it could have been!
google avatar

Emma N.

Yelp
I only had a layover at this airport but it seemed nice and updated. Lots of signs and places to eat and drink. Clean restrooms and the seats in this terminal had lots of charging ports. I wouldn't mind flying in or out of this airport again.

Yelp
This is a nice, simple airport with plenty of places to grab a meal and/or a beer. It is also very easy to navigate. I landed here for a connecting flight and experienced no issues.
google avatar

Wei H.

Yelp
BNA is an easy navigated airport. It's relatively small compared to EWR / JFK. When we arrived, the walk to baggage claim was short and easy to follow the signs. Baggage came out quickly. Right by baggage claim, there are signs for Taxi/Uber/Rental. The rental is attached to the airport. Short walk as well. 2 levels labeled with different companies. At our departure, we did online Check-in and bag drop off. Then head to security. We have CLEAR so they prompted us to the front of the line after face scan. No separated line for CLEAR. That day the regular was pretty long. Be prepared if you are traveling through BNA. After carry one check, there are restaurants, shopping and many seats available. Only Delta Sky lounge no other airlines lounges. Overall a pretty good airport.
google avatar

Nisha B.

Yelp
In/out easy access. Took me 10 mins to walk into the airport, tag my bag, and get thru TSA A lot of eateries. Easy to navigate You'll have to walk a bit to get to the rideshare area, which are listed by Zones
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
I fly to TN a few times per year and love this airport! I do have TSA precheck so usually fly through the check point and only arrive about 30-40 mins before boarding begins. My only complaint is that I wish they would get a starbucks in terminal C and some paper towels in the restrooms would be nice.
google avatar

Christine D.

Yelp
Our second time here but this time it was just a layover. I forgot to do review on our visit to Nashville. This airport is pretty easy to get through. Modern and updated. Restaurants and bars I have tried are mediocre.

Yelp
Nashville International Airport is a very convenient place to travel through. The layout is straightforward, everything is well marked, and it is easy to get where you need to go without feeling stressed. Security moved at a good pace, and staff were polite and helpful when I had questions. The airport is also clean and well lit, which makes a difference when you are flying early in the morning or late at night. One of the highlights here is the restaurant options. There are plenty of places to grab a meal or a snack while you wait for your flight. I made sure to get some Nashville hot chicken, because you cannot leave the city without it. It was fresh, flavorful, and a reminder of what makes Nashville food unique. Having that kind of local flavor inside the airport really adds to the experience. Overall, it is a nice airport with good facilities, friendly staff, and food options that stand out compared to a lot of other airports I have been through. I would gladly travel through here again.

Yelp
I've never been to Nashville outside of this airport. I'm really impressed with the airport offerings of Nashville! I think it's a place in the near future to visit. I'm putting it on my list!
google avatar

Jillian S.

Yelp
We were impressed at how efficient this airport is and how we could actually understand the announcements. Too often at other airports we hear what airports are announcing, but the quality is poor, making comprehension difficult. At BNA (at least on concourse B), we could clearly understand the announcements and follow the instructions. This was essential because due to bad weather there were ongoing delayed flights and gate changes. The employees were interacted with were friendly and helpful. Two of the TSA agents were fun and made the security process more enjoyable. Then at our gate, the attendant had a similar positive energy and clearly provided flight information and updates. Other observations: - Lots of shops and restaurants! We stopped at some souvenir shops, Goo Goos, and Hattie B's - Internet access isn't great (slow), but it works - Some chairs at the gates have charging ports underneath - Bathrooms are clean and stocked. Awkward placement of the dryer in the sink, but it dries your hands quickly - Sunflower program for assisting those with hidden disabilities

Yelp
Nashville International Airport was my first and last impression of Nashville, Tennessee. I feel that although the airport is clean and functional it could use a facelift that pays homage to Music City USA. From the time I spent here, I did not see a celebration of Music City USA. Sure there were some gift shops and a couple of businesses that had a stage for performers. In my opinion it was piecemeal. What I saw was a utilitarian facility with a terminal and concourses that could be Anyplace USA. I saw very few statues and portraits of Country Music icons or anything really saying that "You have arrived in Music City USA." In comparison when I flew out of the New Orleans International Airport, when I stepped off the airplane, jazz music overfilled the airport. Or when I fly in and out of Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, slot machines, digital signs for the shows and hotels, and an aviation museum greet me. I feel that the arrival area beyond security where baggage claim is really needs a remodel. When my brother and I waited for my Dad's flight here, it was a boring place to spend a couple of hours. There was only a Green Beans Coffee Shop with basic airport terminal scenery. I feel that the airport could've done a lot more to give that awesome first impression to Nashville, Tennessee. I also feel that the airport needs a public transportation connection to Downtown Nashville in the form of light rail. When we ubered from the airport to Downtown, Nashville, the traffic was awful. In conclusion, I feel that Nashville International Airport is a solid airport that could use a facelift that welcomes people to Music City USA, with an environment that celebrates it. With my opinion expressed, I give Nashville International Airport Three Stars as in "Solid."

Yelp
This airport was easy to get to as it is very close to downtown. It took 15 minutes and that was fast. The airport itself is compact, but well situated. I understand they are planning to double the size and modernize this airport very soon. That would make this airport even better. The counters were well staffed and efficient. The TSA Pre-check line was packed. Now it is during the Federal government's shutdown. But the clear line was packed as well so it took 45 minutes to get through the security line with TSA Pre-check. Getting to the gate was easy with good signage and way finding. All in all a good airport.
google avatar

Amayah E.

Yelp
The flow of their airport was so great. The TSA moved along quickly and it was very easy to find my gate and other needed accommodations. I even had a few hours to get some work done in the terminals and it was so pleasant and I felt calm the whole time. It was pretty bright and airy in there, and it was my first time flying through BNA and I hope it won't be my last!
google avatar

Yelp
Another Airport today, have a bit of a layover here. Nashville is a great Airport, it is a busier Airport, but easy to navigate and get around. There are no trains here to get you to your gate, but they designed the Airport to be walkable, you can get to all areas of the terminal and concourses by foot. Of course you are in music city so a lot of country influence here. I saw a number of people playing live music in the restaurants and bars which is a pretty cool thing to have. You can get a drink or a meal and sit and listen to live music while waiting for your plane. Have not seen that in many other Airports. I have not ever had to go through security here, so I am not sure how lines are and if it is a quick in and out, but overall the Airport is clean, easy to get around, lots of food and drink options. One thing that is good and bad here is that they do not use paper towels in the bathrooms, which is great for saving the environment and I am for it, but it is also nice to be able to have an option for a paper towel to wipe things down after you have been on a plane all day. Minor issue and really it is better for the planet, so be it. Enjoy!
google avatar

Alice W.

Yelp
No complaints here! The airport is beautiful, clean, easy to navigate. There's lots of great food options! I had trouble deciding what to eat because of all the great options. The pricing is also not scalping level like most airports.
google avatar

Ashli A.

Yelp
This was a very clean airport, and I was pleased with everything for my short layover! In true Tennessee fashion, there were hot chicken places EVERYWHERE! It seemed like every restaurant at the airport prioritized it, and even though I didn't have any, it smelled pretty good! I ended up grabbing some empanadas from Half Moon Empanadas that were scrumptious! There were so many different stuffings available, but I went with the spicy beef! Maybe next time I'll try the spinach and cheese! I even got a cookie to go with my empanada, and it was delicious as well! I like the layout of the airport, and there's plenty of shopping you can do as you wait! It also wasn't too crowded, so that's always a plus! First time at this airport! Thanks a bunch for the hospitality!
google avatar

Ultima M.

Yelp
This is a nice airport I got here a little extra early on my return so I can walk around and see what this airport is about . I enjoyed myself during my time here at this airport The decor is cool and true to its history and culture Employees are nice , everything seem clean and well planned out Princes chicken is here Among other local Nashville eats
google avatar

Rosa F.

Yelp
It's a beautiful airport It's my first time here as a layover and I was told to have some hot chicken and I did and I loved it. The airport is lovely and full of beautiful art. People are nice too! I enjoyed walking the long walk from the gate I exited to the next gate. Now I want to visit Nashville the town!
google avatar

Orquidea R.

Yelp
Cute and colorful airport with lots of awareness that you are entering into the Country City. Guitars all over, musical instruments as decor, it's a fun experience when coming out of your gate and seeing all the terminal has to offer. Quick and expedited service through security but the most appealing of it all? It has lots of souvenir shops, Tennessee's most famous whiskey items for purchase, Hattie B's and many other food options in case you didn't get a chance to get your comfort food crave in while in town. Clean bathrooms and gates.
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Smooth process, very fast TSA and new technology. This airport is very nice inside and has a bunch of food options and stores.
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
This airport had great parking- drop off and pick up was easy. Bathroom was big and clean. Walking to and from the plane was very easy. Baggage claim was clearly marked So many restaurants to choose from and lots of shops.
google avatar

Jada C.

Yelp
Great airport variety and a nice layover spot to watch a game, work on business or do some shopping!
google avatar

Aden T.

Yelp
Really clean, well thought out airport. Fantastic food options, large restrooms, and good amount of charging stations: enjoyed my time here and looking forward to coming back. TIP - for food, check out Pyramid Cafe in Terminal C!
google avatar

Danny N.

Yelp
Nice quiet airport. It wasn't as busy when we landed and it is pretty easy to get around. The rental car area is a few minutes walk so there is no shuttle needed.
google avatar

Greg O.

Yelp
Its great the airport is close to the downtown area and easy to get to via rideshare. That said, the layout is confusing especially leaving the gate and trying to find your baggage carousel (when you have to gate check your bag because inconsiderate passengers don't leave any room in the overhead bins.) The signage for the gates is also not great. There area decent number if choices for food options, the bathrooms were generally clean for an airport, and there were a good amount of shopping locations. Its a decent airport serving a great city.
google avatar

Rob J.

Yelp
I was here for 90 minutes waiting to change planes between Long Beach and Pittsburgh. My five star rating is entirely because you can get a drink in one of the bars and carry it around wherever you want. I can see where that may lead to unruly behavior for those that lack self control, but for me, it was great.
google avatar

Caryn C.

Yelp
I like the new decor and all the various places to eat or nosh. Gollee the prices are crazy. We flew Southwest and it was a full flight. Because the flight was full we were made to check in our carryon bags. They tore my bag and my husbands glasses were lost. I hate Southwest Airlines.
google avatar

LaWanda P.

Yelp
I was able to get in and out very quickly. That's all that I cared about because I didn't want to deal with crowds.
google avatar

Theo P.

Yelp
Nashville Airport...I've never seen more excited bachelorette parties in my entire life. The Good: It's an Airport with live music The Bad: It's an Airport and TSA took my life-size cardboard cutout of Dolly Parton The Ugly: It's an Airport and my flight's delayed and everything is closed Also a little side hack. If you are looking for time to kill because your flight got delayed 3 times meaning you won't get home until after midnight even though you have to get up again at 6 am, hang out in terminal D which stands for Distressed, Delays, and needing a Drink. 8/10 Bachelorette Sashes & Espresso Martinis
google avatar

Brandi M.

Yelp
The prices flying out of Nashville are worth the drive . The restrooms were clean. The food options had variety, but nothing really stood out.
google avatar

Chloe W.

Yelp
I've been flying in and out of BNA multiple times of year for the last 10 years. This airport has undergone a dramatic transformation in that time! Once upon a time, this airport was a small domestic airport with long lines, overcrowded parking, and limited retail options. Now security is a breeze, and there are tons of great dining and shopping options that reflect Nashville's modern landscape. For my last international flight, I got to my gate less than 20 minutes after getting dropped off at the airport. Traveling through BNA has become a top notch experience.
google avatar

Kalia A.

Yelp
By far one of my favorite airports due to the ease of getting through security, clean restrooms, and food options. They also have a lot of shopping spots and the staff are genuinely kind. There's even a Minute Suite for naps.
google avatar

Patricia A.

Yelp
Nashville International Airport was one of our stops for our connecting flight home. The airport is very busy and employees are very efficient in getting all the people traveling where they need to go. Needed wheelchair assistance due to a knee injury and the young man was courteous, helpful, and friendly he even asked if I needed to make a bathroom stop or if I wanted to eat something. He strolled me around to see what different types of food and restaurants they had near our gate before we made a choice. Got some food and then got to our gate with time to spare before boarding our flight. I was really disappointed that they let me board first because I had wheelchair assistance, However, they made my husband wait and board with the section C passengers. In my opinion if we're are traveling as a family, we should be able to board together.
google avatar

Erik S.

Yelp
Fantastic airport that has kept up with the growth of the surrounding area, and also kept up nicely with the way that people travel these days like having a dedicated area for rideshare pickup that is separate from the rental shuttles and all the other pandemonium (though that area definitely gets busy too). First of all, and the main point with any airport, the layout is simple and effective. They've done everything they can architecturally to ensure a smooth flow from check-in and bag drop, thru security, and into the main terminal with branching paths that are easy to understand. In my three experiences flying out of this airport, I was drop-off to gate in about 30 minutes. The airport itself is very sleek, clean, and has all the modern amenities travelers need. Plenty of plugs for device charging, lots of seating, bathrooms seemingly around every corner, and lots of natural light. With it being Nashville, you're going to find plenty of places to have a drink as well with some even doing live music. All in all, great spot to fly in and out of, would do again (not that I could take my business elsewhere right?)
google avatar

Jarid P.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this airport in years, so did an earlier remember how it was to navigate but overall I can't complain. Everything is well marked, and the large designated rideshare area was nice for grabbing an Uber after my flight.
google avatar

Carlo L.

Yelp
Arriving is easy but getting dropped off using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft changed recently as I have become aware. Drop off is near the area for pick up instead of getting dropped off at the concourse terminal. Terrible decision that nobody benefits from.
google avatar

Tae G.

Yelp
This was my first time in Nashville for a layover. It was easy to navigate and find terminals. The airport and bathrooms could've been cleaner and better maintained. The southwest wing was pretty cramped and seating was also limited.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
So, my recent experience at Nashville International Airport was... well, let's say it was a mixed bag. My flight got delayed and then canceled after I switched flights, which is never fun. With extra time on my hands, I roamed around trying to find something veggie-friendly to eat because hey, Nashville is famous for BBQ and fried chicken, but a plant-based person's gotta eat, right? Sadly, veggie options were sparse. There was a juice bar, but it didn't quite hit the spot. I ended up just wandering menus and tables like a lost tourist hoping for a miracle. Also, let's just say the kiddo screaming nearby made the whole scene feel like a chaotic sitcom. Overall, I'm staying neutral here. The airport is clean enough and has some charm if you're into Southern hospitality, but my personal experience was a little stressful and underwhelming. I probably won't choose to connect here again unless it's absolutely necessary. If you're flying through, pack patience (and maybe snacks). Nashville's got some great things, just maybe not so much in the airport dining department.

Yelp
I love BNA. Lots of wide walkways. Spreadsheet out places to sit with ample plug-ins; that actually work. Love the restaurant choices and live music everywhere you turn. But I do have a complaint. The bathrooms. They're nicely decorated, high tech. Lots of space between the stalls and the sinks. So why can't you set the doors up to open outward?!? Even the new bathrooms that are opening are being done this way. I appreciate that they are deeper than most. So at least there is less chance of our suitcases touching the toilet. (Disgusting). But they're still narrow, so we have to climb over our suitcases. And there is plenty of space to reverse the door. Please!

Yelp
Had a smooth and easy experience in and out of BNA. The traffic seemed to flow well, when I came through the TSA line was nearly nonexistent, and it looked like a good variety of shops and dining options. Bathrooms were in good shape as well.
