Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku - Renon (Cabang I)

I had the chance to try Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Bu Mangku in Ubud and it really lives up to its reputation as one of Bali’s classic dishes. The portion comes neatly arranged with rice, shredded chicken, lawar, satay lilit, and a mix of side dishes that balance perfectly between savory and spicy. 🌶️🍗 The flavors are authentic and bold—especially the sambal, which gives a nice kick without overpowering the other elements. It feels like true Balinese comfort food, simple yet packed with character. The place itself is casual with a local vibe, making the experience feel very down-to-earth and traditional. Service was quick, and prices are reasonable for the portion and quality. Overall, it’s a must-try spot in Ubud if you want to taste authentic Balinese chicken rice the way locals love it. TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM UBUD AND SEMINYAK BRANCH. Quite much disappointing! This is my second time visiting this place and there still no upgrade for the service. Somehow I wonder if the management ever read and act on people's commentaries / review here. I love Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Bu Mangku, and will always love to visit the store everytime I go to Bali....but not this branch. The food taste different and it really make such major turn off, I don't know if they ever perform quality checking on the food? I do regret coming here, instead of Seminyak branch. The other thing is how bad the service here. There is one woman staff that is so rude and impolite to the customer. She is working behind the food display, not in cashier. I forget to ask for her name to mention it in this comment section. She is treating customer unfairly. If it is foreigner, she treats it nicely but when it comes to domestic tourist, she doesnt even want to listen what people actually ordering. She is also very impolite to Gojek or Grab driver there and I dont understand the need of her to being such jerk like that. The only thing I appreciate in this branch is only for the toilet that not that smelly and the ambience inside with touch of nature. For the taste, it is not as great as other branch, but ok lah if you want to try and so hungry. I recommend Seminyak branch or Ubud Branch, if youd have time to come by. I dont know if Id still need to hope of they take notes on this and improve or not.

Surpassed expectations! I'm a fan of Nasi Kedewatan in Ubud, but this one in Denpasar blows it out of the water. The mini playground in the back is a great touch for kids. The staff is super helpful - my kid left a toy behind and they promptly responded to our message and held onto it for us. The tranquil setting amidst Denpasar's hustle and bustle is a welcome respite, complete with koi fish and other large fish. The food is uniquely flavorful, especially for Javanese palates. Highly recommended!

The portion is generous and the ingredients taste so fresh. The place has a lovely local atmosphere — clean, cozy, and surrounded by traditional Balinese decor. The staff are friendly and efficient, even when it’s busy. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience true Balinese flavors. Food is average, but the price is fair. Great atmosphere—quiet and traditional. Friendly and quick service. Good for a casual meal with modest expectations.

One of their best vibes branch. I prefer the quality of food in here rather than in Seminyak. The best Nasi Ayam in Bali, you can also request to separate spicy sauce if you can’t bear the spiciness level. I love the vibes and their outdoor area. They also have small playground for kids too and fish pond

I had a warm taro latte, one of the best drinks I've ever had. The interior was also very pretty.
